Time for more anime-esque shenanigans.
Cthulhu is in your neighborhood, fucking up buildings and generally causing insanity. What do you do about it?

It sucks a bit that we don't actually have the eldritch monstrosity stats yet, but assume its probably stronger than you can reasonably fight with your current character.
How does your current character do, then? What would be your first course of action?
>>54997761
Gonna leave this here as sort of an anchor, in case anyone actually gives a shit about my god eater stuff.
If anyone has suggestions for stuff to make, i'll see what i can do but i make no promises.
>>54997761
For example, do you try to communicate? do you observe cthulhu to see if he's actually being hostile or not? Or do you go full maniac and try to get every organization possible to try and take it down?
What are you guys hoping they do to it?
What about the fan made stuff think they will be able to used in it?
Also what is your favorite gang? I like Slaaneshi cultist
I'm hoping they don't ruin the campaign system. That's my main worry.
The rules as is are great for a skirmish game but I don't mind so much if they change them to this system that's similar to 8th.
What will piss me off is of they water down the campaign system. That is probably the most satisfying part of the game and if they ruin that it'll upset a lot of people.
>>54989327
Hopefully Newcromunda will have Arbites
>>54989327
>Also what is your favorite gang?
Find a flaw
Haha is this for fucking real? This is my favorite system and it is one of the most flawed pieces of crap I've ever laid my eyes on.
That's with the system itself, you wanna talk translation errors? They've got errors fucking galore
>>54988567
>Spanish weebshit where you need a 9 to hit anything
For one it's dead.
>>54988567>>54988885
You want a flaw? Here's an obscure one, the pregens in the book in English don't match up stat wise with the other versions. They're weaker for no reason
>that will be £45/$70/€60/AU$120/NZ$148 plus shipping please
Are the only people left playing GW games the most braindead and spoonfed?
>>54985407
Do...do you actually think this is a lot of money? You can't just drop $100 whenever you feel like it?
Sucks to suck poorfag. Go wait for food stamps or something. Can you only get on the web at fucking Starbucks?
>>54985432
I'm an Actuary thank you, I could comfortably buy these two miniatures.
Enjoy your consumer experience.
>>54985407
Wait is that $70 burger tokens each? Holy shit this company is being held afloat by old nerds with nothing else to, it's rediculous
The last one was a success, let's try for another.
>Players get upset when NPCs show any degree of competence.
>Right on down to 'being able to do the job that PCs hired them to do.'
>Reaction to this is usually to murder the offending "scene stealing" NPC
>Players who don't understand that their actions have consequences, and that if they betray, attack, or insult someone, that person will likely dislike them intensely otherwise.
>Players who get upset if monsters use sensible tactics, or run away from a fight they're losing.
>Actually, just in general, players who think that the world is there to fellate them and that NPC motivation should be parsed in terms of how the PC is likely to react.
>>54973109
>ops who post pics for ants
>>54973109
Why is Sipderman hitting that jew?
>>54973109
>constantly remind players that in my game there are some monsters that are too powerful for them to handle, so if shit is going south retreating is a good option
>begin fighting said powerful monster.
>pcs start dropping after a few turns.
>don't retreat.
>players get mad.
wish we could turn back time, to the good old days...

Nah I'm good. Thanks.

Recently picked up Degenesis, anyone managed to get around to running a game of it? How well does the system actually work in practice?
>>54969647
>Recently picked up Degenesis
Ask for refund if you can. Maybe scan some of the fluff sections, they are the only usable parts of the book (the art is nice too).
>>54969671
I'm not sure what this anon has against the game, but I played and ran a Degenesis campaign in the past, and honestly it's a pretty fun game. The dice system isn't remarkably complicated, and combat can be pretty dangerous if your players are stupid, but I had fun playing.
The last campaign I was a player in ended with all of my scrapper's business friends dying to crazy Abrahmi, and the rest of the party leaving him to die. Unfortunately for them, he lived against all odds.
>>54969671
Personally I think the book is worth it just for the art, its super pretty. Why do you think the system isn't usable?
>>54969888
I'm thinking of running a few one shots soon, not sure where in the world I'd set them though, or what cults to make pre-gen characters for.

Cute, though might wanna make that drool bubble not bleed into the mouth on the first one.
The Kiku Matsuri is completed! Dragon have won the Emperor's Favor, with an impressive total of 8 being elevated to Hatamoto! Though the Crane have won a most glorious victory as Champions of the Kiku Matsuri, the weekend belongs to the Dragon! The Great Clans each have their roles, the stage is set, the stakes are known. We look now to the future. Who will be victorious at Winter Court? Who will take the Shogunate?
>>54957595
>The Great Clans each have their roles
Not the Unicorn judging by that hatomoto spread
>>54957625
On day 2 (friday) the top 2 of each clan became Hatamoto if they were not already. Unicorn has 2 Hatamoto exactly. Those two chose the Role of their Clan.

So what do crane get for winning today's tournament, Anything?

Got into a really big argument about what exactly constitutes a deal and what is just talking/haggling in Sherrif of Nottingham.
Turns out the huge argument could have all been avoided because I read the FAQ/Errata on boardgamegeeks, and it described the same exact problem/situation and how to solve it.
Its still a great game that we all like to play, but for some reason the first time we played it, the owner didn't even read the rules so as we played the game we skimmed it. Turns out lots of shit we did was wrong (like how penalties are paid and which goods go through if the Sheriff finds contraband), so I have to be that rules asshole and show them the real rule and instance, because we played it wrong for so many games.
Happy Friday edition
Game day looks! What's your setting? What's happening this week? Any tips and tricks from the local regular hosts of games?
My players have come into ownership of a run down castle. How do I go about letting them refurbish it (TL3 with bits of 4)? What can I do with it once it's built?
Are there any published rules?
>>54944565
Boardroom & Curia for running it?
I dunno about castle building rules.
>>54944445
I've heard GURPS Combat can be really slow. I want to try it soon, but I'm stockpiling ideas still. If it is in fact pretty slow by default, does anybody have any pointers for speeding it up?
>>54944565
I would treat it as a broken-down unstreamlined TL4 "spaceship" with Wood or Stone Armor and the majority of systems dedicated to Open Spaces and Habitats, Lacks Automation and No Computer from Vol. 7, and No Life Support from "Alternate Spaceships" in the #3/34 issue of Pyramid.

Wir haben es nicht gewußt Edition
Warmasters Triumvirate is an attempt at creating yet another 40k AU. The Primarchs have changed, and instead of appointing a single Warmaster upon returning to Terra, the Emperor is critically wounded on Ullanor. In order to make sure the Great Crusade continues, the Warmasters' Triumvirate is put in place. Tensions start running high and this eventually culminates in a civil war between Loyalists, Chaos Traitors and Separatists...

Totally cool. I imagine that this is the guy that the permanent Titan Marcher auxillary to the Sentinels works with.
>>54931790
I'll try to get on that. Something dealing with the aftermath of Raj's death. Or maybe the death itself, I'll have to talk to Deshain about that.
>>54932210
I like these guys, but Divine's Crusaders isn't a great name. Divine Crusaders is fine, it's just the 's that makes it kinda weird.
>>54933415
>Name

>Raj's death
What haunts me the most is how the fuck does someone sneak into a fucking manned Titan, a Primarch, nothing less
>>54934114
It's not as much sneaking, as (Daemon?) Deshain rushing a damaged section of the Apocalyptican with a chunk of his marines and a horde of daemons and getting in.
In what non-GURPS games can I play a knight in space?
>>55025774
Starfinder and Warhammer 40k.
>>55025774
Fading Suns also.
>>55025791
Don't forget Star Wars. Jedi Knights aren't called knights for no reason.
Why would you play a non-spellcaster when playing a spellcaster is an option? In any system or game that exists.
Some games make magic have consequences, like corruption or insanity
