You're in the Pathfinder thread, Pathfinder kitsune are the true kitsune in Pathfinder.
Any other claim is deviation from official Pathfinder rules and the equivalent of homebrew. If you include youkai kitsune in your game, you've got no right to restrict other players from including their own unofficial material.
Oh no! An angry owlbear is challenging you! To the death! How do you politely decline without tarnishing its or your own reputation?
>>52587406
I stat it.
>>52587406
I politely explain how the atmosphere's ion balance combined with the current astrophenomenal chronoshift extension layout would cause our battle to act as the calamity trigger and likely destroy everything we hold dear and precious. Then pray it doesn't call me on the bullshit
>>52587406
I roll animal handling, and with my nice bonus, I walk away.
>player in my game is that guy-ing pretty hard
>talk to him about it one on one
>we work it out respectfully
>he changes his ways and everything turns out fine
Damn, all you complainers should try out this maturity thing sometime.
>>52587029
We have, it doesn't usually work.
>am piss poor to the point of having no food
>dig through mud in the mountain
>find gold and diamonds
>buy my own business and live life to the fullest
Damn, all you hobos should try out this mining thing sometime.
>player in my game is that guy-ing pretty hard
>talk to him about it one on one
>He accuses me of personally targeting him and singling him out
>Private conversation becomes public drama
>Social group divided in half over accusations of playing favorites
>Half the players leave
>Game cancelled and you never talk to most the group again
Here OP, I fixed it to be more realistic.
Do you think we should start putting cute anime girls in the OP, like /pfg/? editino

So is it a bad idea to use orphans as a power source?
>>52586509
Yes. You ever seen Venture Brothers?
>>52586536
Nope. I mean nobody is using them so why not use them for energy? I can work them to death on giant hamster wheels then use their organs as magic ingredients or sell them for parts.
If I do good I can even use them to make more orphans!
In a magical setting which reviving is possible, why is death considered a big deal? Why not just revive the King who was murdered by the villain?
>>52586461
Don't you need a diamond for the resurrection? Shit's going to be rare and expensive, plus you have to get hold of one within a week.
But the real answer is that it probably depends on the setting
Depends on the setting. Both the limitations of the magic and the culture that surrounds it.
I can't remember where I heard it from, but I saw an interesting idea a while ago of a setting where death meant your titles passed on, regardless of if you were revived afterwards. A dead king meant a new king, even if the old one comes back. I thought it was an interesting notion.
>>52586461
The spell requires a willing target.
Sometimes, you're taking them from paradise.
Say you had to limit yourself to, for the next 10 years, only play TRPGs by one single creator (i.e. any game he was directly involved in creating, no games he wasn't). Which one would you choose?

Going to try and pick this up tomorrow morning. My lot have been playing HoR KT for a while now so we're primed to give this a shot.
Mini Wargaming has been posting a few battle reports and it looks pretty good. Almost insane how different it is from 40k, since merely being hit is a big deal.
Anyone got a pic of the authors page? I wanna know who wrote it.
Midnight launch in 1 hour here.
How likely it is that traitor legion gene seed have been used to make new Space Marine chapters?
How would each of them look like as modern 40k chapters?
>>52585031
The loyalist legions were only just barely force into chapter reorganization, very much at the point of a bolter held by a legion (smurfs) that comparatively came through the HH in good shape. The chapterization was done explicitly to limit the power of the legions and minimize the hazards of future heresies.
These pressures were not present for the legions.
>>52585031
It is implied (but not proven, such is 40k) that there are several Chapters derived from traitor gene seed.
Last I checked, I think it was:
Red scorpions - Emperor's Children
Silver skulls - Iron Warriors
Blood Ravens - Thousand Sons
There's also the Grey Knights, who were formed from loyalist members of the Traitor Legions, and there are Alpha Legion gene seed chapters as well as World Eater gene seed chapters, though I can't recall what they' are offhand.
>>52585031
Its very heavily implied they have been.
Thousand Sons for the Blood Ravens and World Eaters for the Minotaurs are two prominent examples. Night Lords for the Carachadons was also a popular theory, but as the Horus Heresy has been fluffed out it'a now apparent they're descend from the Terran Raven Guard.

>"Cool wand, shame I'm a fighter and not qualified to use it"

>Spends the rest of the campaign trying to sell the wand

>love D&D's generic schlock high fantasy settings and the feeling of vastness in the established material, to a certain extent the "gameyness" of dungeon crawling and acquiring loot, etc
>in practice, find D&D 3.5, Pathfinder and especially 4E way too clunky and simulationist when I try to actually play them and a magnet for rules lawyers as a result
>never paid attention to 5e when it was being announced or released and even this far down the line I don't know a damn thing about it
D'you think 5E might actually be able to sell me on D&D, /tg/, or should I stick to more obscure systems? What's its 'deal'? Further down the "basically a very slow wargame" route 4E had or back towards something a bit more narrative/roleplay-ey like 3.5 was? I literally know nothing about the changes made.
Fuck you and fuck your shit-tier bait thread.
>>52584885
There's literally an entire general thread for D&D 5e every day, anon.
Maybe actually directing your questions there would be more productive?
>>52584885
Just read the basic rules, they're free. Considering you're already experienced with other editions and systems you should be able to compare and contrast on your own.
