It's a setting, with multiple settings within it.
All of them feature the players as warforged, with elemental abilities.

I made a simple hypergeometric probability calculator. I found an online calculator that helped me out a lot, but I got annoyed with having to go to the page so I made a commandline application. Actually figuring out the odds helped me understand deck construction better than anything else.

I don't. Everything GW have shown regarding 8th tells me that I'm just not the target audience any more. Which is sad - this is a game I've played for over 15 years, that I've put an enormous amount of love and energy into - but whatever. Times change. I'm going to move on to something else.

The DM has the final word in this.

That being said, a good DM lets people roleplay their characters, not alignments. I would imagine a paladin torturing some orcs for information in a fit of rage after they raided some village and slaughtered everyone. If he was disgusted and horrified at what he did afterwards, he wouldn't fall. But that's how I usually handle alignment restrictions: if you can roleplay it well, and it makes sense in-universe, I'll allow it. Characters at their lowest point in life could make up some interesting story opportunities.

That being said #2, I really fucking hate alignments and DnD in general, and I would play a better system any day.

I think they're a neat idea, but I don't know how they'd work outside PbtA games without simply saying: 1. taking turns in a conversation is something you do anyway, and 2. these are all things GMs do anyway.

I like low HP, HP as meat points, wound thresholds, and rerolls to represent plot armor.

Healing fixes HP, but wounds are more difficult to heal.

Depends on the nature of combat in the game
If combat is the meat of the game then it's best to simply wave away injury for the most part.

If every combat is story significant than I'm inclined towards "injuries" mixed with an hp-like stamina system, so any damage received is delt as an injury like "broken arm" and x lost stamina or " leg gash" and x lost stamina or a punch to the gut which just deals stamina damage, all stamina being lost resulting in incapacitation but not death, death requiring a fatal injury.

It's sort of depressing that now HH players are stuck with baby marines.

Desert Twister and Beast Within for removal.

You could also put in Liquidmetal Coating and then Naturalize whatever you just turned.

I don't play Magic any more, but you might look into my favorite deck archetype, Tooth and Nail.dec.
