Traveller is a classic science fiction system first released in -2545 Imperial Calander (So, 1977 Solomani). In its original release it was a general purpose SF system, but a setting was soon developed called The Third Imperium, based on classic space opera tropes of the 60s, 70s, and 80s, with a slight noir tint.
Though it can support a wide range of game types, the classic campaign involves a group of retired veterans tooling around in a spaceship, taking whatever jobs they can find in a desperate bid to stay in business, a la Firefly or Cowboy Bebop.

Most dicepool modifiers are abstracted. Same for shooting at/though cover.We also tend to forget that wound modifiers affect Initiative

I try to simplify the Matrix as much as possible. I'll usually ask for a Hacking/Cybercombat roll to gain access to the system, then Matrix Perception to fin what you're looking for, then Hacking/Cybercombat to do the thing you want to do.
I changed the Marks into a system of "User level". 1 Mark gets you guest access, 2 Marks give you user access, 3 Marks give you admin access. This works for entire PANs/WANs.
Astral Projections move at regular speeds. Fuck you spirits, you already have broken stats, tons of armor and can move through walls, you don't get to blink around the place like you're the fucking Flash.

Not much really. Most of the cringy things happen deep in the shadows, and my group is made of newbies. We play before the nano-apocalypse, and I'm going to have it limited to Boston, with just a few headcases escaping confinement and being hunted by all AAA corps, forcing them to leave the planet.

No one liked how common magic is supposed to be, so my game has awakened being several orders of magnitude more rare.
No CFD either, I'm doing my own AI and nanotech plot.

Well we know from End Times that Lileath's plan for the Bretonnians is that, if she can make her new pocket world with her lover and daughter as head gods, then all of her damsels and grail knights that have ever existed will be granted godhood and become the human pantheon. So while she does use them a pawns, she wants to reward her favorite ones.
She still kills all the boys with magical talent and doesn't give a fat fuck about peasants though. One of her spheres is manipulation, she's not a nice girl.
However, the Brettonians DO find out about all this in the End Times. The knights' response is to completely abandon the alliance between all the non-chaos races that is trying to stop the end of the world. They just completely give up on anything because of how much they hate Lileath over their entire existence being a treachery. Hell, on their way home they even find an injured Lileath and they basically just spit on her and leave her to die. They are not happy.
Duke what's-his-face, who does stay behind in that alliance, even accidentally revealed Lileath's plan to Bel'akor when he had an earlier confrontation with her over her bullshit. This leads to Bel'akor invading Lileath's baby pocket realm before it can grow into a full replacement for Warhams world, killing the two elves and all the human souls before they can even do anything. The whole thing was for nothing.

What's your character's drink of choice?
Fine Caar Whiskey? Indescribable swill the engineer made in the reactor room? The classic Gargle Blaster?
Speaking of space alcohol, would wine from other planets taste different? Fancy wine folk talk about a wine's terroir, how it tastes like where it's from. Would space wine have a different terroir? Could certain planets' wine be desirable on the interstellar market? The same goes for other fancy food like cheeses and shit.
I'm just wondering if stuff like that would make a viable trade good?
