Soon you will be much more comfortable around strangers and feel ready to speak.
Go to Toastmasters and sit in on a few sessions. They train people who are nervous how to speak in public. They teach methods of controlling anxiety and speaking with strangers and it is usually free.
Take an adult extension class that involves a little group work, like cooking. This will also help you get used to interacting with strangers.

Set a simple task for yourself that you must do every day, like - take out the trash.
Set a time you will do it, then set reminders and alarms.
Do it every day.
Making a new daily habit takes about 7 weeks, so keep it up.
Once it is a habit, add another simple task, like showering every day. Then another, like brushing and flossing twice a say. Easy, simple things.
Now you not only have a few new good habits, you are psychologically building a habit of *completing tasks* and *success*.
And bigger habits and habits that are once a week like - walking for 20 minutes every day and saving 5% of your money every check.
After 6-12 months of this getting tasks accomplished will seem easy.
Then you need to make a plan. Write down your three biggest goals. Break each goal down into individual steps. Then figure out how long each step will take, finally, start the first steps.
Keep the goals and the steps and the time estimates written down.
Every week review how you are doing on the current step. Every month review your estimates on time. Every quarter review the entire plan and see what needs to change.
Success, meeting your goals, and getting what you want will be a habit.
