The douche I bought this truck from didn't tell me how to get these security lugs off. I tried lug stripping counter threaded sockets but they won't bite into the chrome. Does anyone know what brand/style they are? What do I need to get them off?
>>17463164
Give it back, Jamal
>>17463164
have you tried just looking in the truck for the key?
Someone help me explain why a Fiat is a terrible choice for a car in America. He's not listening to the JD power rating or any sort of reliability rating website.
>>17462621
White people always get the weirdest tattoos
Why is this
>>17462621
They have a history of poor quality and shoddy engineering.
If he doesn't listen to documented proof of why they're bad then theres probably no hope for him, sometimes its best for people to make their own mistakes no matter how hard you try to forewarn them of it.
>>17462631
The same reason niggers get tattoos that are just as black as their skin, making you wonder why they bothered in the first place.
I don't know anything about physics, explain to me why we don't put these on cars
They do on high end cars
>>17462452
>They often consist of a metal flap that is lowered against the air flow, thus creating drag and reducing dive speed
>drag without downforce
Great idea, Boris.
But we do.
ITT we say the things that piss us off about our cars.
>Pic related
>Sunroof only pops up 1"
>Rear windows don't fully open
>Can't switch off LED backlight on radio/climate screens, screen is too bright
>>17462377
Screens got a dimmer
>>17462386
What? Shit thanks my dude
>>17462400
I think it's in the options somewhere.
>>17462044
That looks really good. Wow
>>17462044
At a price like that there's probably some issue with the car that the guy doesn't want to deal with and he just wants to dump it. I'd say stay away
>>17462044
every single day he has it he started it up rain or shine and revved the nuts off it while cold and dry
every random addative from "that isle" has been in the tank and oil
headgaskets and turbos about to fail
transmission probably wrecked
rip clutch
about to fail smog from failing cats
subaru only has the reliability meme because of their upmarket female drivers who let the shop do every bit of work ever even suggested to them, which would ensure that nearly any vehicle would be reliable. boiracer did not do this, boiracer revvs the nuts off his turbos when its icy outside and the car is cold, boiracer changes his oil every 20,000 miles while doing this.
Why are 2005-2009 Mustangs still expensive on the used car market? For a 12 year old design they're still pretty overpriced compared to anything else made in 2005-2009.
>>17461914
Most of them are less than 10grand? What do you consider expensive?
Meanwhile e39 540i's & e46 330is still are at or above 10 grand, and M models are more expensive still.
I don't know but that's the only generation of mustang that doesn't look like hammered dog shit.
>>17461971
Funny, I'm entirely the opposite. Foxbodies and sn95/new edge are just about the only mustangs that don't look like total garbage to me.
A few friends are going to go to this race track sometime next month. They will be bringing an S2000, a FRS, a 240, and an RSX. I have the choice between either a 09 BMW 335i sedan or a 05 Pontiac GTO. I could also borrow my brothers g35 if needed... but ive never been on a track before. Any opinions of which vehicle would be able to keep up with the group better?
Slow driver in a slow car is faster than a slow driver in a fast car. I imagine your BMW has less power but a better balance, so I'd take that because it lets you learn how to drive fast and approach limits more safely.
Im not sure about my skills. Havent raced anyone except for a few drag races on straight empty roads. I can cruise through the canyons around me at a decent speed but i feel like tracks are completely different. The s2000 is the only guy with track experience though. Also typod my 335 is an 08 not an 09.
>>17461677
Thanks i was kind of thinking the bmw would be easier to push. Probably gonna be behind the pack either way.
what site do you guys use when you need to replace a part? Is there anybody cheaper than RockAuto? I bought performance pads and drilled and slotted rotors for 137 shipping included. Just wondering if you can get cheaper
I don't care if a place was a fraction of the price of rockauto. Their website, customer service, and timely shipping is worth any price they charge.
>>17461562
I do agree the website is an easy layout plus I got my stuff in 4 days which was nice, idk about the customer service. I was just wondering about their competitors because most sites i went on wanted $80+ for one rotor when I got them for 47
>>17461562
>tfw shipping to Canada
Does anyone else unironically like the prius? It is one of the most impressive automotive inventions and is unapologetic about what it hopes to achieve: excellent gas mileage. Everything on this car is engineered for maximum efficiency, the shape is an acquired taste. It may seem hideous but it was literally engineered for maximum aerodynamics, again for maximum efficiency. I think that car "enthusiasts" hate on the prius because they
(a) Either don't understand it
(b) are too broke to buy one
or (c) because they're betas who can't form their own opinions and instead rely on hivemind circlejerks
it's a car for people that don't like cars
which means it should be selling like crazy in modern times when people really _really_ don't give a shit about cars and take no pride in owning one
>>17461494
You aren't wrong. Chevy Volt is better. More electric range
Thoughts on a shit BMW 318 as an entry level track beater?
https://charleston.craigslist.org/cto/6176516801.html
I've never been to a track, let alone driven on one. I know miatas are meme (and realistically ideal) but I just don't like them.
Anyone?
>>17461423
Good choice but lack of power might annoy you
>>17461518
I thought about looking for an M3, or at least a 325 or 326, but I figured it might make sense to learn my way around a track in something that's a bit under powered as a first timer.
So, /o/, why exactly do we hate Haldex again?
Because you touch yourself at night.
It's like FWD except heavier with more drivetrain loss and less reliability. Give me proper AWD or don't give me it at all.
>>17461008
"""AWD""" that reacts too late to be any good when you need it.
Subaru Symmetrical AWD may be a meme, but at least it's constantly putting power to all the wheels all the time instead of just the fronts.
>cool cars in your neighborhood you wish were yours
Post cool cars parked in near your house.
Serious question, what plant species is that bush in the background? I love the texture.
The blue one next to my red one.
Old, shit picture, but this used to be parked on the fucking street in my neighbourhood.
Just a 996 GT3, sitting there, presumably someone's daily.
Why do German/Japanese cars always lack a sense of humor? Why can only Anglo countries (USA, UK, Australia) make silly cars?
Silly cars are for silly people. We aren't silly.
The SLS was pretty silly, and especially everything Brabus touches is ridiculous.
Also RUF.
>>17460639
what do you mean by silly? I'm not trying to be mean btw
Looking to buy a car, found out a VW polo 2013 1.2 TSI witk 41.000 Km, the owner is asking for 9K€, I'm interested but I'm afraid that I might choose wrong, any opinions on this machine?, the price is touching the roof already, I will see if I can get the car for a lower price, at least 8,5K.
>>17460418
get a civic for 3k
>>17460425
I wanted to get a honda, that's for sure, well let me rephrase that, I would love to get a honda, awesome machines that are built to last, those Nippon cars are top notch, but don't get offended here, I kinda feel the ones boring looking (2000- 2011) and the older ones already to chewed if you know what I mean
>9k for a fucking 2013 polo
wasn't that thing like 12k new? lel
So i went for a remap on my car yesterday , after about 3 hours of waiting around after the tuner said it would take about an hour he tells me my car needs a new ECU. What the hell happened ? i took in a working car and now it wont start.
>>17460398
you should ask the shop what happened
be like "hey, so uh, why is it not working" and they'll be like "the ecu broke" then you be like "when did it break?" then watch them get all pissed off
>>17460398
They bricked your ECU.
>>17460398
It's their fault. Get them to pay for one. They reflashed it incorrectly and now it's fucked.
