Which one do you like the most?

the Blue one
The green one.
I finished my last project and now I'm looking for something new. Call me retarded but I love the concept and the look of the Pontiac Fiero. I want to turn one in to a little racer. Some one any experience with this car? Is an engine swap the only option to make it fast? Or does classic n/a tuning (ITB, CAI, Racing cats) will get the V6 over 200hp?
Swap in a 455
>>17466792
I've wanted to take one and swap in a supercharged 3.8l V6 forever. But the stock v6 is pretty anemic and would take a complete ground up rebuild to make serious power with

>people at work know i am in need of a new car and that i am actively look
>just out of typical small talk of asking me how my search is going i tell i think i found something
>show them a pictures of blobeye WRXs
>they all think it looks weird and ugly
>ive already put my deposit in and holding onto it already
lmao not that it matters, i cant wait to pick it up and cant wait to tease the girls for being haters.
but yeah why do girls think they look weird and ugly. i think they look mad cute and cool.
even my sister says it looks strange.
are wrxs really strange and weird looking cars? what is it about them?
it seems to be only girls who think this. most dudes like how they look
>>17466765
>most dudes like how they look
That's because most dudes are faggots with shit taste. Why do you think most dudes like the Miata?
>>17466765
fuck what they think, WRXs are god's gift

>All men are gay.
Y'know I hate to say it but I think I have to agree with you there.

Only if they stop making crap cars

Maybe Nissan will rebadge it as an Infiniti for the American market. I would think a little sportscar like this will do well in the US. It's faster than the GT86. The price has to be significantly lower than the Porsche Cayman tough.
i just spent over $100 on a toy version of my car
do you have a toy version of your car?
>>17466236
I bought a trueno model for 5 bucks and a mx5 model from the mazda factory itself for 20
How would one go about finding models/toys of malaise era shitbarges?
>>17466236
yes i do. id post a pic but its at my moms house in a box somewhere.
same color also
Is the existence of crossovers/compact SUV's a result of just the manufacturer(like one day the Product Head says "We'll add a crossover to the lineup bois!") or market demand?
Also do you like crossovers?
>Whatever the answer, please also say a reason as to why you chose your answer.
>>17466231
market demand, basically women ruined the car market, just like they basically ruin everything they come to.
I don't like crossovers since they are useless, look ugly and basically have nothing speaking for them
Market demand. Consumers literally want everything.
>I want to fuel efficient
>but I want to be sporty
>and I want to be safe
>and I want to be practical
>but I don't want a hatch or a wagon!
>can I have AWD too please
>>17466231
People want that high seat but don't wanna drive this.
Something "sporty" and "active" is also good to market something. As more and more people by these higher vehicles people with normal cars have to switch because they can't see shit on the road anymore.
School me on the 2L-T engine.
>be murrican
>wanting a old school 4runner as my DD
>found one in great shape and price
>only thing is it has a 2L-t engine in it
>these were never officially imported in america
Are these engines shit? Would it be too much of a pain in the dick finding parts? I would like to find one with a nice 22RE in it, but I have no had much luck on that. I already have a old Toyota pickup that is my current DD with a 22RE in it and I am pretty confident in my wrenching abilities on that engine, not that it ever needs anything major.
>using the 22re as a measure of reliability
Way to set the bar low
>>17466150
Literally one of the most reliable engines ever made.
http://www.milneroffroad.com/toyota-uk/4runner/ln130l-2-4td-4dr-11990-111995-european-models/ln130l-engine-service-items
Here is a site with plenty of good, cheap parts for that engine, even tho it means ordering from the UK
The 2L-T is quite legendary in my part of the world, having been used in the 4Runner, and much more notably in the HiLux and HiAce. Rock solid engines that are easy to tune if you want some extra power
Pic related has survived 22 years and nearly 400 000 km's of shit terrain, hunreds of drivers, cold winters, tough work and with nothing besides a yearly oil change and whatever it has needed to pass inspection
Most girls couldn't care less about how sexy a 370Z looks or how much power a Viper has, but they'd love a VW Bug or a V6 Stang. What cars actually attract girls?
>>17465917
really expensive ones, and comfy crossovers with lots of cupholders and butt warmers
Ones that get you to a stable job and back.
expensive ones with social status attached to them

When did /o/ first start driving?
13 here. Father let me drive a shitbox truck to learn manual by myself. Honestly one of the best memories of my childhood.

started learning clutch and general driving on a old shitbox Lada sedan on my summer vacations.

Why so late?
Does a Mustang make sense for a first time buyer? I have been indecisive about purchasing one since it will be my first car that I purchase. I feel that I am not worthy, that I should just stick to iceboxes and such. Push me off the ledge /o/. Tell me it's gonna be ok.
>>17463953
No.
If your poorfag then no.
Why wouldn't it be? A cheap V8 Stang would be better than a Civic. At least you'll have fun and actually have power should you need it

I had a dream about an El Camino that was replaced almost entirely with Honda parts. I've been thinking about it all day, and now I need to know. In theory, is it possible to swap various parts out in an El Camino with parts from Honda or Acura cars (engine, transmission, motor mounts, etc.)
Even if it's a shitty idea, and would ultimately impact the performance of an old 1970's El Camino, what would be the ideal parts meant for any Honda or Acura vehicle that could be stuffed into the truck? What modifications to the frame would be needed?
It is in fact a stupid idea but it would be theoretically possible to bolt an El Camino body onto a Ridgeline frame. That would be the simplest way to accomplish your dumbass idea. The rear suspension could probably be modified to match the wheelbase without chopping the frame. It probably would end up a bit taller, too.
>>17463553
I see
What about just changing the engine out with an s2000 engine?
>>17464099
It would require extensive fabrication. Expect $10,000 just in parts and labor alone not including the engine or car. On the other hand you could probably pull off my suggestion for under that price including both donor vehicles
It seems like what you actually want is a modern ute though. Consider importing a Holden from Australia. Pic related is 25 legal for import now. You can probably get some kind of a more vintage looking front clip if you really want 4 eyes, steel bumper etc.
What went wrong?

Had they not made so many missteps with the Pacer they may have lived well into the 1990s. Hell, they might have still been around today.
