Ive made a few threads about my car stalling and idling at 500rpm. CEL says cat and throttle motor lock. I was going to start throwing parts at it (new o2 sensor, new cat, new throttle body) but when I got home I had the idea to unplug the tps and see what it does.
Idles at 1000rpm with it unplugged and 500rpm with it plugged in.
The tps is new, Ive also tried one from the junkyard and the same thing happens. Ive read that it could be the connectors to the tps or the ecu itself.
The parts are adding up. Is there any particular order I should start throwing parts onto the car in?

Avast ye landlubbers and keep firing the parts cannon!
>>17473302
Look up how to reset the idle. It usually involves shorting some box with a paper clip. Happens every time you unplug the battery in a Miata.
>>17473302
>CEL says cat and throttle motor lock
huh?
Why are there two different jug designs? Also, do any of you use this?
probably one is an old design?
yes I use this in anything turbo'd or m1 0w-40 otherwise
Ran it in my old 6.0l. 5 gallon oil changes are fun.
No complaints. Oil temp and pressure stayed right where it should with it. Truck started well (oil pressure controlled injectors) and ran fine, even with my abuse.

Been contemplating running this in my Forester XT. I really don't think Amsoil or Motul is worth the premium for how I drive.
Hi /o/ I don't usually post here but I need some advice. My beautiful blonde daughter is turning 16 next month and I want to get her a nice looking used car, particularly a convertible. I'm looking at either a Saturn Sky or a Pontiac Solstice and was wondering if there was any particular reason to choose one over the other? She likes them both but prefers the Solstice.

An unknown virus is spreading way too fast and the world governments have admitted that stopping the spread is almost impossible. The widespread zombie invasion is gonna reach it's peak level in an estimated time of 1 and a half month. (Or Hard mode : 3 weeks)
2 Questions.
>What vehicle do you buy/mod or buy and mod?
>How do you prep it up keeping in mind that you may not be able to get out of your vehicle any time soon unless you find a safe place?
Be really creative. Work that madman brain of yours!
I am safe. I have a brick house, German doors and windows and a pile of canned food in the basement. How the fuck do you nignogs expect a vehicle refueling infrastructure to continue existing for more than three days while the world turns into chaos? Le ebin gasoline raids off parked vehicles while fending off zombies with your badass one handed fireaxe? Congratulations, you've survived another day if you're not shot dead on the spot.
>>17472590
You indeed have a point. But I was just assuming people would head to the country sides or more non populated areas in search of a more safer place but reaching there will be hassle because of all the objects on the way which includes(zombies running at full speed of course, broken down cars, etc.)
At some point of time, you still gotta go out searching for supplies once your stock finishes. You definitely need a well armored car to move around.

I'd get a sailboat (ideally a fairly fast one)

>Semi automatic transmission
WTF is this supposed to mean?
What kind of transmission is this?
a semi automatic one
Manual requires you to clutch and change gear.
Automatic does it all on its own.
Semi-automatic requires you to change gear but "clutches" for you. Most automatics have a "manual" mode which is in fact a semi-automatic mode. The one with the UP and DOWN or + and -.
>>17472388
Wait
This isn't a meme, this is a real transmission?
So they have those still available today or these are legacy?
My 12-13 year old neighbors decided to borrow their mom's car and fucking nailed the garages at my apartment, narrowly avoiding my garage.

Ouch. That is going to be an expensive repair bill.
The hell? Were they trying to be dagumi?
>tfw too poor to afford moving out into an apt with a garage
Should I just save up for a mortgage on a house while im able to live at home? When I move out I'd ideally like to get an apt/condo with a garage but I know that's not gonna happen until I get a job that pays more than $10/hr even if COL in my area is very low

Been a c4 owner for about three years now. When I first bought the car c4s where widely regarded as trash by everyone (especially c5-c7 owners). Lately though with RK doing the vette kart and MCM doing the F&F c4, I've been noticing a slow change in the general attitude towards them. Am I the only one? And will the c5 soon take its place, or will the fact that it ushered in the gen III SBC save it the same humiliation? I believe it will.
>>17470309
The C5 is widely regarded as one of the best looking Corvettes and it has the power to go along with the looks. It isn't like the C4, which was heavy and slow from the factory.
I bet that the C6 will eventually take the C4s place, mainly just because it's ugly (and its almost entirely driven by boomers).
I believe there is a growing appreciation for all cars RWD and manual (as well as growing 80's nostalgia) because enthusiasts are realizing the whole world is against them and petty fanboy fights isn't worth it anymore. The C4 ZR1 also easily shuts up the europoor criticism of only using pushrods.
However I don't think the c4 will gain as much respect as a C5. There was so much more engineering put into the chassis and engine that took Corvette up a notch.
>>17470355
Pre 92, the year the LT1 was introduced, the C4 was defiantly underpowered. But over weight I have to disagree with. Curb weight for my 93 is roughly 3000lbs. Maybe for import guys that's heavy
>>17470378 honestly the c5 is basically a c4 with a LS swap and a transaxle, the tech jump from c3 to c4 was much larger in my opinion
