Mark Gatha (Domon, Mega Man X) is NOT dead. If you read that rumor earlier and are the kind of person to read the OP of a thread and then ignore the thread then you missed the important part of the story.

Tomino hates Victory Gundam.
Squall is still dead though.

I wonder if rebels or terrorists also have this problem of a lot of undisciplined fighters just fucking everything up.

Watching Zeta rite nao, biggest problem of the AEUG is that Bright doesn't slap people enough. Emma and Wong try to keep up but they obviously don't have the same efficiency that Bright had...

What is wrong with IBO? I keep trying to get into it, and yet I cannot. I simply find it to be insufferably boring compared to most other Gundam shows I've seen. This strikes me as odd since I am normally a big fan of slower character driven gundam dramas like 0080/Turn A. In theory, IBO has all the elements I normally enjoy...
1. A large cast.
2. Plenty of development for those members.
3. No recycled animation, generally solid art.
4. Fresh mechanical designs which aren't stealing heavily from the past.
And yet now I just can't get into the show. I'm forcing myself through each episode and it never holds my attention. Is it just me? What is this show missing that kept past Gundam entries interesting?
I feel like there is something very wrong with IBO, but absolutely cannot define it like I easily could with other flawed entries like SEED, or AGE or even ZZ.
What am I missing here?!
(and before this descends into heavy trolling, I consider ZZ flawed but have grown to love it for what it is. SEED/Destiny/AGE had a lot more notable issues.)
Do you care about the characters?
I feel that the reason why IBO is boring is because of two main things.
One, almost all the characters are so damn downtrodden and melodramatic. I'm not expecting a story about child soldiers to be cheers and smiles, but it feels like IBO relies too much on "ugh look how horrible things are UGGHHHH"
Two, the stakes aren't high enough. There's not a big war, or villians that have some grand ambition. Rather, there's a lot of politics and office work.
Hopefully with the awakening of the living, laser-breather mobile armor, things will get more exciting. I just don't get IBO has all these crazy, cool super robot things (living machines, Graze Ein, giant swords, maces and scissors, demon robots), yet the narrative is so dismal and dreary, and so slow paced.
Alright /m/, how would you feel if Sunrise decides for 00's 10th anniversary decides to pick between one of the following scenarios and which regarding them, which would you prefer more to see:
- OVA series focusing on the Innovator Wars and its affect on humanity going into space post-00's Awakening of the Trailblazers movie
- OVA series focusing on prequel events regarding the Solar Wars and a younger Ali-Al Saachez's involvement during the initial stages of the construction of the Orbital Elevators
- OVA or Film series focusing on Aeolia and Eternal Ray's lives and the lead up to the creation of Celestial Being
The innovator conflict (not war) was very short according to the writings.
The solar power wars would be a legit subject, since you have plenty of shifting in between alliances for the Union, AEU, and HRL. Celestial being was said to keep their involvement completely minimal, so you'd end up with a nice world War mech series rather than a Gundam show.
Aeolia's building of Celestial being would work much better as a novel with illustrations of the gn drives and such.
>>14996254
Well the Solar Wars did last like 20+ years or something so it would be nice to see it finally fleshed out.
>>14996239
Number 2 since there's so much we don't know about the Solar Wars, and possibly weaving in the circumstances of each of the meisters' recruitment into CB (I'm not counting mangas/side stories).
As for sequels ideally I want to see a series/OVA (with a new cast, but cameos from the old) less focused on wars and more on deep space exploration. The ending of the movie already sets up that particular scenario going foward so why waste it?

AHAHAHAHAHAHA HOLY SHIT

but it's cute

I don't know why they keep letting the mechanical directors get away with this fucking faggotry. This really shows Sunrise and Bandai have stopped caring.

All of his friends are complete dicks. Emu was playing down to their level this episode.
Actually come to think of it, I think Hiiro was the only one acting reasonbly this episode.
so /krg/ have you gone physical on someone due to videogames
Is Iron Blooded Orphans pretty much "Gundam: The Phantom Pain"?
Why are we still here Orga ? Just to suffer ?
I don't know what that is. Do you mean the phantom menace? Prequels sucked.

What is with people trying to fit MGSV into anything?
And to answer your question, no.
Unless it has a shit ending.

Evengelion is the aborted result of a depressed individual yearning for love and success. It is a completely masturbatory splash of low budget animation hyper-focused for otaku merchandising. Self-referential to the point of parody, this anime is chock full of near plagiarist homages in a hodge podge of diluted and undirected plots which ultimately collide into an unimpressive and ambiguously empty finale. The ensuing End of Evangelion movie only furthers these repulsive traits, a Frankenstein patchwork of references and lifted imagery that eventually ends like a certain manga that deeply impacted the director's youth. A fitting conclusion to a self-indulgent series made by a man who just can't grow up. Its passive-aggressive jeers and jerks at its own audience only further solidifies the repulsive nature of Evangelion.
Is he right?

What's the deal with this blue ball that seems to keep showing up in different sentai shows?
It's as if Toei recycles props so that they can save their budget for other things. Impossible concept to grasp, I know.
Fun fact, the train set from the New Den-O movie was recycled for the first episode of ToQger (the Shadow Line train that Right ended up on), and Deneb's tiger costume from the candy selling episode was re-used for the Zyuman kidnapping episode of Zyuohger (alongside the bunny costume from the Zed introduction episode of ToQger).

More filler from the worst gundam entry
cute bird
Ballistic only IBO
2016 - 2016....
It was a good run but there has to be beam spam in Gundam somehow.
I'm tired of ANN handing out false information like carbon dioxide
you already posted this on /a/
>>14993420
and a topic is being made here, what's your point?
>>14993422
my point is that your autistic crusade against IBO is pathetic
The manga seems like the most convenient way to get a basic understanding of the characters, but it seems like people appreciate the toei filler. So what is /m/'s consensus?
Probably watching or reading it retard
Anime-wise, Shin Mazinger and New Getter are probably the best entry points if you don't want 70s mecha anime. Although with Getter, nothing beats the actual manga.
Manga is the best by far.
First two OVAs were very good and New Getter was okay. The 70's stuff I didn't like except some of the Kanada animation
Is Mikazuki the most chill MC ever in Gundam?
