What do you think makes a mobile armor /m/? A mobile suit has a pretty obvious definition as a human shaped war machine with high mobility via AMBAC, thrusters etc. but from what I can tell a mobile armor can basically be any size, any shape and doesn't even need to have high mobility as the name mobile suggests. I've looked up the wikia out of interest and their definition didn't help. Mobile armor seems to be a catch all term for one person or small crew fighters that aren't mobile suits and really just a franchise specific name for space fighters in the same way Star Wars has snubfighters.
Ginormous, impractical super weapon piloted by unstable female antagonist who die near the end.
Any mobile weapon that's smaller than a battleship but bigger than a contemporary mobile suit. The Psyco Gundam is classed as an MA despite being humanoid in form because its size is much larger than a Gryps-era mobile suit.

To add a corollary, the Cosmic Era setting also uses the term mobile armor for their spacefighters. It's the only setting that makes any significant use of fighter craft, so it's the only setting that uses the term MA in this manner.

What's he looking at?
I hope the launch sequence of the flauros is half as good as his first launch.
How is it possible that mechanics don't know how to pilot Mobile Suits? They work on those things, they know every little detail about about them and yet don't know how to pilot.
Would you trust your car to a mechanic who don't even know how to drive? I wouldn't.
>>15013532
Think of professional racing. In some versions of motorsports there are pit crews which are dedicated to vehicle repairs. Do they know how to drive? Yes. Are they good enough drivers to compete? Not necessarily. That's about it.
>>15013532
Do you think all army mechanics know how to drive tanks or fly planes or something?
having knowledge is not the same as applying it.
How can I get this working on an emulator?
Do I need to know any Japanese or is it a straight-forward shooter? Does the plot follow the anime closely or will I be lost in the story?
I don't recall needing to run the game with any specific settings on PCSX2. It had some slowdown in a few sections, but that was a couple of years ago.
>>15013446
It's basically a series of missions that follow key parts of the Votoms storyline, along with a handful of extra missions relating to side story material. The game itself is straightforward, with an arcade-styled game structure where you complete levels and upgrade your super fighting robots.
10/10 anime game. Virtually flawless.
>>15013475
Sweet! Are there any other guides for translating stuff like shop menus and shit?
Is First Gundam appropriate for an 11 year old whose parents allow him to watch Dragonball Z?
is it the dragonballz with blood or censored?
>>15013329
Whatever airs on TV these days. I'm no sure myself anon.
>>15013326
If you want something more DBZ just let them watch G Gundam. If they're "conservative" then put on the dub.
>Hollywood Gundam trilogy by competent Director.
>Artsy/retro/cool teaser trailers before popular blockbusters
>Nostalgiafags and Children want to see it cause Giant Robutz
> Already strong female roles in a Sayla, Matilda, Mirai and already multi-cultured crew for PC generation
>Competes with Star Wars
>America/West loves the villains and heroes/robots
>Has amazing box office because above reasons
>Merchandising makes oceans of money
>Gundam is now not only a relevant franchise in west, but a huge lucrative cash cow
Pic related, opening shot of film accompanied by "From Sleep" performed by London Philharmonic Orchestra w/ narration :
"It is the year 0079 of the Universal Century. A half-century has passed since Earth began moving its burgeoning population into gigantic orbiting space colonies etc etc"
It's a nagging question, but yay or nay on a film series? Do you want Gundam to only be for patricians or let the pleb neogeek culture have a slice.
How is this even a question? Nay I say.
JJ Abrams should direct. The combination of intense action and engrossing, absorbing emotion seen in the opening scene of Star Trek is exactly what Gundam deserves.
>>15012666
Falls flat because it's giant robots from Japan and it's based off a cartoon that no-one takes seriously.
Who does it better?

>>15012448
Why?
>>15012443
Someone took their time, made this Reddit tier image, posted it on a Mongolian throat singing board to ask who's better.
Wow
Would tanks made with the same material and technology as mechs made mechs obsolete?
Nope.
Next question.
>>15012060
A tank with thrusters, legs, and arms is basically a mech.
>>15012099
What if just thrusters?

An engineer contracted out to work with Solbrain is murdered. Shortly after, a cute girl claiming to be a detective fiction author begins approaching Kamekichi and asking questions about the case. Could she have done it? Or is she after something else?
An Ogisawa episode, one of my favorite writers for the series. This is one of the cutest episodes in the series, and the funniest too. Considering that it is about Kamekichi, who only occasionally gets screen time, it's all the more entertaining. Both of the male characters in this series get paired with characters who would make good girlfriends for them, but of course, you can't pair them off without diverging from the main storyline, and I guess kids didn't come here to see relationship stories, so this is as close as you're going to get.
Kame-kins, as you might guess, was "Kame-chan". I needed something cutesy for her to call him, since she does it from the very first meeting. Note that there's one time that the Commander calls him it as a joke!
Neat! Thank you!
>>15012050
Thanks for the continued effort.
Thanks once again. It is funny how Oogisawa would go on to write episodes for the Conan anime.
Also, it's nice to have a nice, silly breather after all those serious episodes.
Not a joke: It's actually done.
How long has been now, really? 3 years, Mr. UQ says. Good fucking god
It's over though. This is the final episode of the show, sourced from the Bluray rips as encoded by RX782, resubbed from the shin-getter release by UniversalQuantifier, and nothing of any apparent value done by me.
Discuss. Shitpost. Doompost. Ia, Ia, Ide! Idk.
Just know that a batch is coming. I have my trusty team of cracky engineers working on QCing the series VERY fast at incredible hihg speed so we can get it ready to batch and put it everywhere it needs to be.
Christmas present perhaps?
Well shit, thanks Kaxie.
Oshit

Holy shit, why is bird so lewd?
IBO confirmed for most OP armor.
Is this a next IBO thread? Former one is on page 2 and is well over 300+ replies
Ah fuck it
I would like to say anyway that comparing Iok to Patrick is fucking slunder to the latter, at least Patrick was a decent, maybe good pilot and Iok is so shit that jollyhorn made a special railgun so he can be very far from battle, so yeah
Lmao he's a loserI fucking hate him so much that I hope he dies sometime soon
>>15011541
It's probably the strongest anti-beam defense without being an I-field variant that's for sure. It's like the anti Phase Shift. How strong would it be against conventional weapons from other Gundam shows or something like GN imbued blades?
What was her relevance to the overall plot?
Sexual tension.
>>15011467
>HEY MOTHERFUCKER, I'M GONNA FUCK YOUR SISTER
>>15011467
>relevance to the overall plot
She's waifubait. It wasn't that hard to figure out.
Also, it gives Char an enemy that he absolutely refuses to kill which leads to some ex machina moments.
What are the perks of using Gundam eyes as opposed to mono-eyes? Are there advantages/disadvantages to using different kinds or shapes of sensors?
Also what purpose do blockages in the middle serve? This is also on the Jagd Doga, mind you.
>>15011265
Binocular vision gives more accurate range readings.
>>15011271
Helps the pilot manually center his camera.
>>15011265
The eyes aren't even the main camera. That little window above the V-Fin is the main camera.
