To my knowledge I have subs for all of L-Gaim, presumably thanks to the magic of OCR.
However, that's the main reason I didn't touch L-Gaim's Bunnyhat encodes, besides the fact that some determined anon was promised he would work on it...and I assume disappeared like they all do. No, I'd need a Japanese speaker to proofread the scripts. And even if I/we/anyone gets that fortune, are the BDs ripped?

Anyway, that's some beautiful art. I do love his style.

Just about to release the third disc. Wednesday? And hold me to it, I should be able to get the 4th disc done in the next week after. I forgot FINALS were a thing with the thanksgiving promise. My last one is Tuesday and everything should fall into place after that.

There's a lot of work if a person wanted to do it _really_ well.
You could just take the existing audio, stretch it to match the runtime and call it a day, but the VHS wobble makes it a little bit off from the R2 rips I played with. Nothing big like the bits dropped from Kamen Rider Kabuto for the dub, but still enough to make it a pain in the ass

Fuck, Kogawa's art is timeless to me. Thank you Kaixe & UQ, I've only watched up to episode 5 after getting spoiled years ago on this show, so now's the perfect time for a full run-through when that batch drops.
I may just wait for a confirmation on Be Invoked sub status to be on the safe side lol

I just choose shows I like that are unknown or overlooked by western anime fans, regardless of genre or target audience. There's no real strict criteria besides that, my goal is just to bring old classics at least some of the attention they deserve.
Looking back at how things used to be only 5-10 years ago, the situation has fortunately improved quite a lot and thanks to fansubbers and companies like Discotek just about every notable mecha show is now available in English. There are still some exceptions out there but I hope you guys won't be horribly disappointed in case I decide to pick up something not /m/-related next. There's plenty of other anime and manga I'd really like to translate as well.

If I may suggest a far future goal, Armor Hunter Mellowlink could use a sub scrub, but it's obviously not a high priority item for anyone considering all the shows that are still lacking subs of any kind.

I know Daironeri has timed subs ready for the Dunbine OVA, but they need to be checked and double checked by a native English speaker at minimum, and preferably also by another translator altogether.

Long story short I forgot I had access to the Ideon raws due to shifty. I downloaded the creditless ending theme, ran it through x264 with the settings you used for the show.

However it looks...different from yours. I've never messed much with Avisynth before, but I imagine that's what you used to make it look so different. So
1. What kind of settings did you use for the show? If I were to release the ED with the batch it has to at least look as good as the rest of the episodes you encoded.
2. Do you have any pointers on how to teach myself? Any guides, perhaps? It's honestly embarrassing being ignorant. I have used your site for the record.
