Which caliber would be better in a civil war scenario?
power vs weight vs availability
308 would get good results down range and go far for sniping
but vs armored targets 223 is as good, plus i can carry more
but even then, I can access way more 7.62x39

If it must be leather, I've heard good thing about Hank's gunbelts. I needed one quick so I got a $20 Uncle Mike's one on Amazon. It's black nylon and closes with velcro. It's lasted 3 years of near daily wear and it's still in great shape. Also, velcro adjustment is really handy for ccw as you can always get the perfect size.

Not leather, and pricey at around $90, but Tuff Products Cobra belts are great gun belts. Stiff, sturdy, and well built. I've been using one for four years.
