Why do fudds go to walmart and find the shittiest scope to mount on a decent rifle and try to make money off it?

So, I finally got around to seeing Dunkirk (1958). It has unconvincing miniatures, stock footage of Stukas, a Bren gun, and predictable story arcs, but was enjoyable. Apparently, no one renewed the copyright, and it passed into the public domain.

U-S stands for serviceable, and is not a crack at the United States. They also depicted all the civilian pilots as patriotic volunteers, and never showed anyone pressed into service.

Fuck my ass. They already have their own store and website why do they feel the need to come on private seller turf and spam their many .380 Tauruses that you need to be 21 to buy?http://www.armslist.com/store/97
On our local gun classifieds, there are like 15 private sellers who repost the same shitty ads every single day without any kind of price drop, as if nobody saw them the first time. It's always something shitty or a terrible deal, too, like a Glock 21 "with extras" for $700 or some Kimber pos.

I really love the smell of Cosmoline, can I wear it as deodorant or would that give me skin cancer. Been looking for cosmoline scented candles or deoderant. Any suggestions /k/ommandos on deodorant or candles that smell like #9 hops or gun powder also?
I would marry anyone that smelled like LPS 2

I've been looking into possible magazine tube extension kits for the moss 500 but im getting a little confused.
reputable sites like nordic and vang sell tube extensions for 590..nothing for 500, yet independent review sights say these systems fit the 500? Is that true? Ive also heard about the 500 magazine tube being pressfit, so Im not sure exactly what to believe
Anybody have experience on this?
Pic related.
You have to buy another barrel, because of the way the mag tube retainer is made.
>>34727356
thanks for the info, how exactly is it made?
>>34727391
its how the barrel attaches to the magtube on a 500 its closed
on a 590 its open with a cap
the magtube isnt pressfit its threaded on
you can add an extension to a 500 if you replace the magtube with a 590/835 magtube but at that point you cant reuse the 500 barrel and have to replace the barrel with a 590/835 barrel
uou end up with a really expensive hybrid where its cheaper just to buy a used second shotgun
Are there any vids on YouTube of people shooting pistols like so? I kinda want to see what would happen to the thumb
>>34726904
I did it once, the slide stopped short.
check out Mattv2099 on youtube, he does it too
>>34726963
Thanks I just watched it
Thread is kinda useless now, nothing happens really
it pushes your thumb a few centimeters. there's a video of a guy holding the slide during firing too. there isn't much actual force involved, it just sucks if it grazes your hand.
Which would be better for a daily carry, a VP9SK or a USP9 Compact? Money isn't an issue, just looking to get something really nice to have on me daily. I don't want a fucking M&P shield friends.
>>34726011
I've had the USP9c and I currently EDC the P30sk. I prefer the P30sk and shoot it better. For the next size up I carry the P229.
That being said between the two options presented I'd carry the USP9c as I prefer hammer over striker.
>>34726011
>Which would be better for a daily carry, a VP9SK or a USP9 Compact
completely subjective, but since you are looking for opinions. I would chose a USP9c LEM as I prefer AIWB carry and enjoy being able to thumb the hammer on the reholster

Hey guys. A couple of years ago my grandfather gave me a percussion Hawkens by Tradition in .50 Cal, and I've got in mind that I want to take a black bear with round ball. What powder load would be good for taking one down? Feel free to share any stories you have or showoff your guns or whatever, I hardly ever see Black powder discussions on here anymore. I'm also seriously considering getting a steel frame 1851 Navy, either Uberti or Pietta. Leaning more towards the Pietta.
>>34725833
For .50 cal rifle, 80 grains is probably your sweet spot for hunting. You could go down to 60 and do fine, going above 100 isn't going to do a damn thing for you but kick more and make you fly off target. Use real black powder if you can, avoid Pyrodex if possible.
>>34725992
Yeah I've heard stories of people using 80-90 grains of powder with round ball knocking Nigger Bears on their asses, and I figure that would do more than enough for white tail and such, too. My rifle has the 1/48 barrel
>>34725833
Never understood the desire for the 1851 Navy. Why not go with a Remington 1858, or Colt 1860 Army? .44 is awesome, and it's a tough gun.
I'd agree about leaning toward Pietta. Pietta's QC and general quality has been increasing for about the last 10 years. Uberti has unfortunately let a lot of real crap slip through. Most of it's just fit and finish, but Uberti has not done much to maintain its "premium" status for years now. Pietta seems to have worked hard to overtake them, and still charge a whole lot less.
Okay, slightly deranged thought: with active close-protection systems like Trophy and Arena using radar to detect incoming rocket weapons, would a practical counter be ARM-guided kinetic kill weapons? Say you take something like a Starstreak (or LOSAT, HVM, CKEM, whatever) hypervelocity kinetic missile, but replace the FLIR/laser/etc guidance system with a miniaturized anti-radiation seeker. Workable system or product of an overtired jackass with the flu?
>>34724627
Possibly, but I don't see the need for guidance when the missile needs less than a second to go from the launcher to the target.
What went wrong?
The guys who panned things having a very different ideas of how things were supposed to work than the guys executing it, followed by severe mission creep, poor planning and hoping to have the advantage of surprise long after you first had a bunch of battleships show up and start making noise.
