I would explain it, but I really shouldn't bother. Not in a "oh I'm so cool look at all this esoteric knowledge plebs" but seriously, I don't even know if any of this is art related.
So don't criticize it as if it were art... but...maybe pretend you drew this, what would you call it?
Maybe it's everything that is involved with the gitting gud thought process manifest. lol actually
take a lesson, anything you see here? has nothing to do with gitting gud. Filter that shit out the second you see it, and go do more posemaniacs.
TL;DR- stay in school, and stick to one major. Avoid philosophy like the plague.

Shit, you're right. Thank you for pointing that out
Recently I've been branching out into oil paints and I'd like to do some master studies to reverse engineer technique. I've made a list for myself with paintings I'd like to attempt but I'm open to suggestions by you guys. Thanks and post away!
>>2906341
Just study something that makes sense for how you want to paint. If you want to learn glazing then don't study Sargent for example. It's best to not study a watercolor with oils either.
If talent exists, then the inverse of talent must exist. If there's one end of a bell curve there must be another. Statistically, a number of us here are just so awful we will never make it regardless of the effort we put in.
So how can you tell if you're really artistically retarded and should just give up for another pursuit?
Well, since talent is usually understanding concepts quickly, then the inverse would be understanding concepts slowly. Difference here is that people with talent usually are pro by a few years, someone without talent probably will be stuck for ten years plus I imagine.
There might be other definitions of talent, so share them if you have any. I'll give you the inverse.
>>2905536
Talent is basically having aptitude, this means you will learn stuff way quicker
The lack of talent may exist, but its not the deal breaker for anyone
>Do you wanna draw as a hobby?
Lack of talent will make you learn way slower, but you will learn and as long as you enjoy yourself everything is fine
>Wanna go pro?
Similar, people don't need godtier material to sell, you can get a following mostly by charisma actually
Besides /ic/ is full of retards who believe art is some exact math where you need X and Y to succeed, when art specially nowadays with the culture of ''everything is culture'' you can produce anything and call it art because someone else also will
So yea. But you can keep telling yourself you not gonna make it, or try to shit on others because ''muh talent'' at the end of the day thats really irrelevant anyways

It's like when black people swim in the Olympics or whites try to run the 100m.

crosshatching is impressive but it seems like you need weapons grade autism to pull it off

Nah. Just nah.
May he experience in the otherworld, all the creppy shit he created in this world!
Hey /ic/ how do I draw cars manga style? like Wangan Midnight or Initial-D
>>2905145
I'm trying to make my 1st mini comic just as a hobby, but I'm REALLY struggling trying to figure out how to draw cars manga style where it's only semi realistic and stylized
>>2905145
learn how to draw realistic cars then simplify it
>>2905145
Looked those up, 100% guarantee those are traced photos of cars. Add a bit of manga inking flair. Done
What are your thoughts on King Terry and the japanese Heta-uma (bad but good) artstyle?
>>2900692
I like it, reminds me of crap I doodle for fun that's intentionally thoughtless
>>2900697
Yeah I agree. It's pretty interesting to me since King Terry actually is a trained artist that consciously decided to draw like this.
>>2900706
This made me shed a tear.
Good stuff.
Now what book is this and is it worth reading the rest?
How can I do clean, detailed line art like pic related?
Is it just a matter of laying out the perspective properly and then grinding with click-shift-click in Photoshop?
Does anyone have any process videos or step-by-steps for this kind of thing? I really want to do detailed line art for environments like this, but it always looks so sloppy when I try.
Any advice would help, thanks!
>>2905411
Perspective but I bet the image was originally pretty huge to begin with so they could add all this detail and then scale it down.
Also lines will look cleaner this way.
>>2905411
wath circle line art shool tutorials on youtube, seems to be up your alley. they were helpful to me at least. throw some perspective made easy and practice manipulating boxes and forms too.
A T-sqaure, a set square and a lot of coffee.
New here. What is /ic/'s opinion on furry art in general? I am genuinely interested to know.
Art not by me.
>>2877698
If it's done tastefully and is well drawn I don't care. The problem is the word 'furry' refers to an aesthetic that is fuck ugly like your pic.
Only with taste.
I like it. I'm not a furry but I would gladly fuck one right in their horsepussy, dogpussy, catpussy etc. Heterosexual and sapphic furry porn is good clean harmless fun. Gay furry shit should be rejected for the degeneracy it is, however.
Just though I would share these here because I am finding them to be crazy motivational.
Sinix is going through all his sketch books. So far he is only a year and a half in but the progress is INSANE! (Especially book 3)
Check it out. Discuss etc.

gotta be bad before your good, always remember that bruh.
I guess he really loves drawing people. My sketchbooks are filled with mechanical stuff instead, or bugs.
>>2905047
>mechanical stuff instead, or bugs
Are you me? Post your work and I'll post mine. Just curious if we draw the same.
I can't draw people at all... Or faces...
I want one of those things you draw with a pen, poor af so here's the shittiest drawing on here made with my mouse.
>>2905766
Work a job
It's only like 20$ for one
I do, just can't afford to loose even 20$ rn, so i'm here jacking off too this drawing.
>>2905766
>I want one of those things you draw with a pen
You mean a tablet?
You all need to hear this, guy's dropping some real wisdom:

I bet a lot of you listen to podcasts or livestreams while you draw, mind sharing some you think other d/ic/ks might enjoy?
Rob Brown is also pretty resourceful.

Yes dear we all know already
What does my creativity matter if I don't have the ability to put what I can think down onto paper in a way that doesn't look horrendous
>>2904364
Photobashing is so overrated. Photos did not help this steaming pile of garbage at all.
Post the art supplies you love working with!! For me it's these kuretake watercolors. They life off the page really nicely, and they're super bright!
It's like it reads my mind.
>>2905122
Damn, I really want to buy these, just because they look cool, but then again, I already have a Lukas set in a portable metal box.
What's that feeling when you lay down strokes that don't waste time, don't waste material, and achieve the form you were going for very efficiently? I guess it is called 'roughing in' or 'blocking in' by most, but the name is misleading because what they consider rough still communicates much of the picture to come.
I just done it for the first time. I feel like I'm breaking a ceiling. Much of the artistic process seemed stressful to me, just going however and laying down whatever hoping to god it might capture some likeness, and then getting too excited over the fragment of likeness achieved, effectively stopping my work there. This time it felt almost logical.
>>2905094
Thinking in and seeing the whole rather then the individual parts is a big part of drawing/painting and blocking in is common in pretty much al' forms of painting.
There's a reason many concept arts work in blocked out silhouettes to go through many different ideas quickly.
>>2905102
So is there a book then? On roughing in. Because I don't want to go back to the hell that is unstructured process
>>2905094
that feeling is called having skill and experience.
