Can fine artist draw without models?
Most of them can, at least the good ones.
The thing is, if you want a very realistic and lifelike painting you need to use models, otherwise you will have stylised proportions, stylised festures etc. Also no accidental shadow that make your work look more real.
When I get to the level of making huge nice paintings I do plan to use a model for the same purpose.
No, at least not better than Proko can.
Unless you're talking about a regular artist who happens to do life drawing at times, like Michael Hampton, because those can, since they've learned to draw from imagination, perspective, learning the 3D model of the body so they can draw it from any angle, etc.
Critique on her technique.
What can she do better?

It's already a masterpiece, no way to improve it

She could learn to lay down paint properly, for starters. I know this is just a meme post but amateur brush handling always autistically infuriates me. Probably because I struggled with it for a while and it always brought that impression of amateur-ness.
What's your process, /ic/?

I don't do anything all day and then get sad.

It's like that picture, but without steps 3 - 9

Any artist out there that can do a sketch?
I'd Like to see Trump with a brass horn jousting out of his pants zipper then curving up to his face and he's blasting on it aggressively with a strained face. Maybe some drool or something since he's straining so hard? I like the caption "TrumpEt:It feels good to blow yourself hard" but anything you want really.
What you should do is rephrase it to have an argument in it. Someone might draw it if you do.
I was only able to make a shitty viewfinder out of thin fragile plastic.
when I did the drawing hand exercise from the book, it kept bending.
what do?
I have no window panes to use for a true viewfinder, but I also want to do the exercises from the book
>>2904931
buy acetate paper,
thick enough to not bend, and really cheap
>>2904939
where do you find them? and what can I do on the meantime?
I wanna hurry up and improve my drawing skills.
should I just make do with my flimsy plastic?
>>2904931
You should just buy a premade grid viewfinder

Decide yourselves if you'd rather post only the art supplies/stuff you lug around, or all your EDC.
Could've been a cool thread if you kept it relevant instead of fishing for attention.

Amazing.
Never understood that dot art.
I want to start a patreon and do silly girly doodles and dumb comics that take 15 minutes to do and pander to popular mainstream lefty worldviews.
>hurrdurr trump bad
>hurrdurr i was misgendered
>hurrdurr i'm pansomething
etc
i really only want to do this for shekels and see how much traction i can generate after consistently doing these for about a year. the workload is minimal so i figured, why not.
question: since i want shekels i need to give patreon my real name and info (tax reasons). can my patrons see my real name, or do they just see the moniker/nickname i go by?
Why do you people think anyone would respond to something so blatantly insincere?
How long would you even be able to keep it up? Get a job.

All the talent in the world isn't going to help you if you're a lazy motherfucker.
what program is best for animation for mostly frame by frame animation?
what does /ic/ use?
is it good for pixel art aswell?
>>2907870
Photoshop supports animation, but it's pretty lazily tacked onto the program. I'd be interested in others' solutions as well.
got any tips and stories about working with oils either palette knife or brush /ic/? really want to head more into oils I just love all of the texture and richness of the colour.

Hey, does any of you know if there's a name for the artstyle of pic related? I absolutely love it: I love the sharp angular traits and its geometrical look. I'd love to look for similar art but I don't know the name of it. Sorry if this is a dumb question, first time posting on /ic/
>>2906482
Kevin Dart does similar stuff
>>2906482
Download Adobe Illustrator, your drawing style will become similar.
It and it's variations are pretty common amongst commercial illustrators for things such as advertising, book covers, magazine spots and so on.
Visit some art agencies webpages and you'll probably find similar artworks by other artists, if you want more, the search terms I've given you above should help.
Try these agencies too:
