Why doesn't someone run a bittorrent tracker as an onion service and then put up a reverse proxy for clearnet users? Would make takedowns impossible.

Sounds good do it

OK then. Asuuming that's Nginx, what will you put in the proxy_pass directive?
>>
>>60173047
proxy_pass to a tor proxy with a rewrite rule to the onion address

What /g/ think of this kind of design ?

My brain isn't too small to remember what they are. It's just that my computer should always care precisely what I'm saying to it. Javafags do not understand this.

What are the best type of jobs in tech industry? Can we rank them? Like

1. Programmer
2. Web developer
3. Network engineer
4. System administrator
etc.

Network Engineers work the hardest and get treated the worst. We are truly the niggers of the tech field.

I work as a janitor making $8 an hour for a tech company. I'm always seeing people work out problems with technology from afar and it amazes/interests me, but I feel too insecure to even try entering the field. I know a bit about programs, somewhat.

I'll see them try solving equations or brainstorming ways to fix their code on many days. Sometimes I read what they write on the board when making my rounds and I try to understand it. I often am able to solve many of the "complex" problems they're working with and can solve them in my head, with just a couple of minutes in passing. I never say anything though. I am invisible pretty much.

What do /g/? all I do is clean up messes all damn day

It's always good to have an interest in something, anyway.

I'd recommend by going to the /sci/ wiki and reading the recommended textbooks on programming, before moving on to more advanced materials.
Brush up your mathematics if you need it, plenty of resources on that in the /sci/wiki too.

Godspeed, anon, and good luck.

Has anyone had experience with buying open box on Newegg? Just curious how they are if shits fucked. This board is out of production and I didn't feel like spending 3x as much on amazon for it new in box.

I have an Asus sabertooth x79 I got open box that's still kicking. It came in a plain white box but included it's 5 year warranty card so there you go.
>>
>>60171407
fluxbox is better 2bh
>>
Didn't get an open-box motherboard from new-egg but from a different UK company

The board itself looked fine, no faults with it, booted into my OS just fine, but it had this really annoying, distracting capacitor whine

Fortunately it was under warranty so ASUS took it in, but I had to pay for shipping three times

The first two times, they simply just reflashed the bios, and sent it back to me, which took two-three weeks each time, eventually i got them to agree to look at it for a third time and they finally just gave me a different refurbished motherboard. The whole process took just a bit over 2 months

so while I now have a great motherboard for a reduced price and has worked flawlessly since, there may be problems that aren't immediately apparent with it and were not noticed by the seller's quality control and testing, which can be a real pain in the arse to get fixed if it has a very specific problem

It finally has a non-autistic interface, and streaming 1080p videos from my laptop to my tablet worked on the first try.

It seems that all those millions of pounds and euros they're getting from their pirate TV services in Europe are being wisely invested.

I prefer text based layout and could care less about cover art. The new interface screenshots are very cover art centric. Can you make it text lists only or should I just stick with confluence?

Are curved TVs actually the superior way to view TV/movies or are they shit?
9 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>60169314
desu you forget it's curved half of the time, it's gimmicky as fuck. it's reasonably rare that it makes it look more expensive though, so if you want brownie points with your friends then go for it
>>
>>60169314
They're terrible if you actually watch TV with anyone, since only one person will be in the correct center. Ultrawide monitors can get away with this since only one person sits at most computers, and at a much closer distance than a TV.
>>
>>60169314
None. Pure marketing meme sold to normies just because it is possible to manufacture such screens.

So my university decided to pay for me and my friend to compete at the CTF portion of the National Cyber Summit (https://www.nationalcybersummit.com/cyber-cup-competition/), the problem is, my friend and I have never done a CTF. So /g/, where can I learn to do a CTF in a month, given that my primary skill is programming in C++?

Also, CTF thread.
9 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
That's like asking how to study for a Jeopardy challenge. The knowledge needed for a CTF is usually random trivia mixed with basic problem solving skills

Lmao good luck faggot. If you actually want to try to do this, start doing other ctfs. PicoCTF is super basic to intermediate, well explained, and has a lot of content.
