So IMO aim hearing a lot of stuff about how loose/baggy pants will blow up and dominate the mainstream, do you think this is true?
I think it is true but it really bothers me as skinny jeans are IMO the best jeans and I love the baggy top skinny bottom.

A big part of the emergence of skinny jeans was the decreasing sexual taboos in the United States, especially when they overrode the notion that slim fitting pants were inherently feminine. That having been said, threshold has been crossed and I believe that slim and more likely slightly tapered will be the new mainstream - Levis now places the 511 on an equal level as the 501, as crazy as that may sound.

So I was away from /fa/ for a couple years and recently came back and it's been kind of interesting to observe what seems to be /fa/'s hivemind on fashion. It seems to me that current /fa/
>is wearing all black, or predominantly black
>is big on the "edgy" designers like Rick and Yohji (although most clearly can't afford either but at least are inspired by them)
>is big on urban techwear and utilitarian inspired stuff. Boots are still big, and the idea of carrying things like flashlights and knives and even guns on their person
>is okay with sneakers but despises streetwear otherwise, particularly the big, famous Japanese brands
Do you agree? Anything else to add? To what extent is /fa/'s collective taste guided by overall trends in the industry and to what extent is it different? What do you think accounts for this?
