I made a loaf bread for first time today and let the yeast do its thing for 3-4 hours and it came out with an alcohol smell. is it safe to eat and or how can i savage this bread?

Thanks!

That's perfectly normal.

Yeast eat sugar, then piss out alcohol and fart carbon dioxide (that's why the bread rises). Adding yeast to bread is no different than using yeast to brew beer or wine. You always get CO2 and alcohol.

They go out for lunch together while I eat in the pantry alone.
Born in the wrong generation.

Just had one of these for dinner. Pasta came out good after a minute in the microwave and then added some olive oil, butter, shredded parmesan cheese and seasoning.

I'm not opposed to boiling pasta the traditional way but it is a lot more convenient to use these packages, and it didn't seem to be inferior to pasta I boil myself. At $2 per 8.5 oz bag am I a cuck or is this a decent price to pay for convenience?

Also, pasta general I guess.

I think the price is decent, just don't eat these as a complete substitute from cooking dry/homemade pasta

I think for convenience sake, if you really are in a bind for time, they're decent.

But seriously, use a pan or something for sketti if you want it done fast

Depends how much your time is worth. It's about 4x the price of regular dry pasta.

I tried pic related recently, it didn't cost much more than regular pasta and the texture was actually really similar. It tasted like regular pasta with chickpeas. Would recommend. It seems healthier and it doesn't have texture issues like whole wheat pasta does.

>I hate to eat leftovers and I have minimal cooking supplies
>I hate to eat leftovers

Step 1: stop being a spoiled little shit bitch and learn to make food that leaves good tasting leftovers you can re-prepare easily like the rest of the Western World you fucking waste of human flesh sack of dogshit. 'I hate to eat leftovers' what kind of spoiled first world ass problem is this jesus fucking christ this isn't India you fuck you got a refrigerator

What food habits disgust you, /ck/? I went on a date a while back with a girl, she ordered fried chicken. Several times throughout the meal she sucked the grease off her fingers, fellating each finger down to the base, and ending the disgusting action with a satisfied *pop* at the end. It was all I could do to keep myself from vomiting all over her. Never saw her again after that.

I'm with OP on this one, that does sound really fucked up. For me I hate people who chew loudly, and it's much worse when you get the literal mouth breathers awkwardly trying to breathe and chew with their mouths open at the same time.

Barring some kind of medical condition that makes it impossible to breathe through your nose like a normal person there's no excuse for that shit.

Only other thing I can think is my girlfriend's habit of not finishing a coffee or tea while it's hot, then remembering it's there like an hour later and drinking it at room temperature. It's not the end of the world or anything but to me it just kinda grosses me out. Coffee and tea should be served very hot or very cold, not lukewarm

My dad buys a lot of pork but I only know a few ways of making it taste good (to me that is, he's not picky) I'll share my favorites and hopefully you guys can give me some of yours?

Usually with porkchops I make a glaze of peach, apricot, and apple jelly and mustard and then just broil them until it's carmelized.
With larger cuts I make pulled pork with a dry rub of brown sugar, chili powder, coriander, salt and pepper and throw it in a slow cooker with chopped garlic and onions and chicken or beef broth.
They both work well but those are the only good recipes I know.

I like to rub on some salt and brown sugar and let it sit for 20 min then put it in the oven at @220 for 45 min to get the chop to rare, then pan fry in some olive oil with Thyme or Rosemary or both and some butter.

My Mom used pork cutlets, I use pork shoulder. But anyway you bake the pork and pour a can of Campbell's cream of mushroom soup in. And serve with mashed potatoes using the soup as gravy. Pleb possibly, but delicious, I even replace my Thanksgiving gravy with the cream of mushroom gravy.

The store nearby sells three kinds of full-grown carrots.

Bagged
Bagged (organic)
Non-bagged that you have to pick up and put into a plastic bag yourself

Which should I be buying?

NO

You can't get fresh produce ever again. Nor can you eat out at restaurants. Everything that isn't Great Value food will instantly turn to sand in your mouth.

The recipe calls for 1 cup sprouted chickpeas (I didn't sprout them, just soaked them overnight).

That 1 cup of dry chickpeas I soaked overnight, is now basically 2 full cups since they all expanded & got a little bigger.

Do I go with 1 cup of the soaked ones?

Or do I go with the initial, pre-soaked measurement of 1 cup? (even though they're basically 2 cups now)

I'm thinking it's the former, but I just want to make sure.

>>9098001
depends on the recipe.

If it says, take one cup and soak them overnight, do that.
If it says take one cup of soaked chickpeas, do that.

From what you've said it sounds like the latter.
>>
>>9098018

When you say the latter, you mean the latter of the options in the post you just wrote, right? (as opposed to the OP)
>>
>>9098048
Yes.
