I'm finishing up a summer job at my university right now. I ran out of food and ordered myself the pizza hut $10 box due to it being the cheapest delivery pizza I could get (that also came with dessert)
I ate five slices of the mini pizza they gave me and all the cinnamon sticks and it made me pass the fuck out. No joke, I ate this at like 6pm, I didn't wake up until 9am the next day.
What caused this? I've literally never been put into a food coma before. I'm a fairly small guy and waking up today I feel like raw shit. I'm staying far away from fast food and pizza in general. Honestly I think the only thing that I can palate right now is oatmeal.
Anyone have anymore food coma stories?

That's what makes it so good.
Hey guys, im going camping in the forests soon (Oregon) and I'm going there for a long stretch.
There won't be any stores to get food as I'm going deep in, kind of doing an old bohemian survivalist type thing (also doing it as a kind of detox but I won't go into that).
Usually I kill and cook the animals there but it tastes so bad. I won't bring any salt or anything so I'm wondering how the fuck do I make food taste good when I'm there? I would dearly love to know how to extract salt from water or something or find out if any fucking Rosemary grows there but I'm a bit clueless when it comes to that.
Any tips?
Thanks x

Why not take some salt with you?
They look pretty good and I'm seeing a lot of recipes on the internet.
So a hipster rice and beans and salad dish?
>>9241702
I often put a bunch of stuff I like in a bowl, some of it pressure steamed together, but I've never called it that.
>>9241702
Where I live they call it the KFC Famous Bowl. I had it once. Who's Buddha?
/ck/, do you clean your kitchen drains by yourself or call an expert?
I don't dump oil or food down the drain

This. My father taught me this when I was but a lad. Well I do because I'm a renter and lol I don't give a fuck. But if it's your property definitely don't, not only are you going to fuck up your pipes but also your septic tank. Those bitches is what will cost you far more than pipes or a plumber.

I have a tub of sulphamic acid, a tub of sodium hydroxide a tub of sodium carbonate and a plunger. My drains cower in fear.
I'm looking to practice my cocktail making, and I found a few interesting recipe ideas. I wanted /ck/'s opinion on exactly what brand of alcohol I should be using to mix them with; I'm looking for the most cost effective option.
When it comes to mixing, what brand of spirit would you recommend for
>vodka
>gin
>rum
>whiskey
>brandy

Admittedly a large part of this is novelty, a few fantasy-inspired recipes, so I'll post some of what I'm using.
>2 shots vodka
>1 shot gin
>juice 1 orange
>juice 1 lemon
>juice 1 lime
>shake
>garnish with a slice of lime
Drunk Dragon:
>1 shot vodka
>1 shot gin
>1 shot blueberry syrup
>serve without ice
>garnish with slice of pineapple
>garnish with small dollop of whipped cream

for home-practice?
Hi /ck/, I have a question.
I'm getting kinda tired of plain old boiled/steamed vegetables and i'd like to start grilling them in a grill pan.
What kind of prep can I do to make them extra delicious? Simple stuff to marinades and that sort of thing.
>>9241273
>grilling them in a grill pan.
that's called frying
>>9241273
What do you add to your steamed/boiled veg? I add salt and vinegar, never get tired of it.
You can do something like lemon + olive oil + garlic + oregano + salt/pepper. Just swap the ingredients out if you want something new like trying lime instead of lemon, butter instead of oil, ginger instead of garlic, etc.
>>9241273
I melt some butter in a small pan and fry/boil them in it with some salt for 5-10 minutes and put some lemon juice on it when I'm finished. Carrots/asparagus work great with this.
Put some balsamic vinegar on some lettuce, also works great. Make sure you don't drench it though.
Salad is easy to get it tasting good and it takes no time really. Learning how to roast potatoes well is fucking great too.
Tfw too embarrassed to ask for the crown but secretly it doesn't feel the same eating without one.
Who else /Burger King/?
>still uses based Heinz ketchup not shitty own brand
>actually has good flame grilled patties and varied vegetables in main burger
>good variety of anything you could want
>overall premium product fit for a king
Name a better fast food chain, oh wait you can't.

I always ask for the crown after they have complimented my shirt.

the escalation in this thread is faster than a democratic campaigner stroll through a black ghetto
>eat like 1kg of flour, 500g of sugar, 500g of shortening and a bunch of salt during cheat day
nothing happens
>try to eat 3 balanced meals a day with lots of vegetables
stomach already hurts after the lunch
Anyone like this? My body seems adapted to live in this century and be nourished by flour and sugar.
>>9241070
For how long have you been doing this balanced meal thing? Maybe your body takes some time. Im doing intermitted fasting atm, with one refeed/cheat every 2 weeks, feeling good.
Maybe you eat too much protein, Not everyone can handle 2g/kg bodyweight.

>For how long have you been doing this balanced meal thing? Maybe your body takes some time.
This. If I ate what OP posted I'd be constipated from the white flour and nauseous from the sugar. The bacteria in your digestive system needs time to adjust to different foods and during that time you can experience gas/indigestion from the food not digesting properly but after a while it'll stop happening.
>eat like 1kg of flour,
what cunt? do you just sit there with a spoon shovelling it in?
