My Sunday breakfast. Frisco sandwich & OJ. What does ck eat before Sunday school?
>Hardee's
>not getting biscuits and gravy
>not getting the "breakfast platter" which comes with biscuits and gravy
>>9236892
You are not wrong. But sometimes buttery ham and cheese is what I want.
My mom made me a bagel with jam before we went to the temple. Grape is my favorite.
wtf do I do to make this stuff more appetizing or use it as a component in a meal? I have three cans of this and I can't bring myself to eat this dressed up dog food
>>9236878
Try mixing it with some egg noodles and fresh veg or quit being a spoiled cunt and give it to a homeless person instead of whining that tinned food isn't haute cuisine.
give it to charity, don't eat that garbage
I like the stuff..
>work in boring office for main job
>work 5 days a week
>make $2000 a month
>be part time pizza delivery driver on the side
>work 3 days a week
>make $3000 month on tip, wage, and commission combined
>mfw

Why have you got to lie like a retarded faggot, fuck off.
>>9236760
Not lying anon, it's great delivering in rich neighborhoods
>tfw tried to bake teriyaki salmon for my parents
>it was a complete fuck up as "12 minutes at 200c" ended up with the salmon raw inside (i fucking hate this shit, you can't trust any recipe)
>still, my parents told me "it was good thanks for the meal" with a smile
I love them. Still i hope i didn't made them sick with my abortion of a salmon.
>>9236735
>using a new recipe when it matters
Why didn't you cut you piece up to check if it's ready?
>>9236735
>"12 minutes at 200c"
That right there is the start of your problem...get on the Fahrenheit Level.
salmon is supposed to be medium rare
Why vegans say little cows get killed so they could steal mamas milk? Wouldn't it be more profitable forbbig farm to sell them?
>when a flyover tries to type a coherent sentence
little cows just don't get bred

What's the protocol for chatting up other people when sitting at a diner counter?
I'm tired of just pretending to start at my phone like a millennial.
If you don't know already then don't try, it will just be embarrassing.
I'd say it's no different to chatting up people in any other place.

Put your hand on their thigh and slowly rub it while staring at them and smiling.
If you can't fucking swallow it it's not good jerky.
>>9236599
>you can't get any fresher than this
jerky isn't supposed to be fresh, that's literally the point
I made rye bread for the first time. It was like a brick but pretty good. Next time I'll prolly add yeast I did it with sourdough starter it was pretty dense. Good tho, I used caraway seeds and whole rye flour..
Any rye bread tips or bread tips in general ?
>>9236341
Stop making that pansy light stuff that the Swedes eat and make a proper rye bread. Dark, bitter and sour, plenty of cracked and malted rye. Good sourdough for the base.
>>9237046
Like this?
Its pretty tasty with cheese.
>>9236341
Rye bread is pretty dense by default due to lower amounts of gluten compared to yeast. Don't use too much flour (the dough should be moderately sticky) and allow it to rise 2h (if using yeast) and you should be good to go.
If you already have sourdough starter, go for it.
Is it weird to mix food when you eat it?
For instance, mashed potatoes and corn or green beans are served separately, as in not mixed, but I usually end up mixing them with my spoon and eating them together at the same time in my mouth. I also do this with beans and rice when I have hispanic food or with fried chicken and fries if I have that (also fries with mashed potatoes taste great). I even dip popcorn in nacho cheese when I go to the theater and they go together really well.
I've never seen anyone else do that sort of thing though. Would /ck/ look down on it? Maybe someone here does it too and I'm not alone?
>>9236272
No it's fine.
Anyone who has an actual problem with it is autistic.
I do it from time to time.
I have to, vegetables on their own violently trigger my gag reflex so I have to mix them with meat.
>>9236272
no one cares dumbass
How do you cook/grill your chicken wings?
Marinate, bake off, throw in the deep fryer to reheat and crisp up, toss in your sauce of choice.
dusted with baking powder on a rack over a drip tray in the oven
I want to find some truly unique food in new york that's not 4+ star expensive. Where do I look?
atm all I have on the list is baohaus and that one taco place on 56th street with the cricket tacos
>>9236123
>Where do I look?
The outer burroughs.
>>9236130
look, how about you just spoonfeed me the names of interesting restaurants in the city, and I'll agree not to spam jay-jay the jet plane porn tomorrow, okay?
>>9236213
Sorry. Haven't lived in NYC since about 8 years ago, and wasn't a native. There are thousands of sites dedicated to food in the city that would probably be more helpful than the opinions of /ck/ anons. It would have been kind of interesting to ask moot where he liked to eat, back when he posted on /ck/ - but it likely wouldn't have been very interesting.
From a hopefully future chef, i wonder what keeps a cook that only makes like 14$ an hour going.
>>9236097
what keeps me going is i know i wont keep going.. i've been getting 14 an hour for a month or so making salads and wraps.. 12 an hour before that making burgers and pasta and shit.. i've considered going to culinary school and trying to chef it up but its one of those things you have to work so FUCKING hard for and then you still probably wont get paid shit. So fuck it. I'll do something else.
>$14 an hour
Fuck, that'd be a 40% raise for me.
I work the entire line and know how to make/prep everything. I have a key and often close up the restaurant by myself. I also do much of the inventory, make orders, delegate to the other cooks/prep cooks, come up with specials/soups, and work with the chef on menu development... I make $12 an hour. I go to work everyday on adderall and Klonopin, and drink myself to sleep every night with lots and lots of vodka. Fuck, half the week I basically show up to work a little drunk, and time it so that the booze wares off right when the uppers and feel good shit kicks in.
The chef loves me and keeps talking about wanting to keep me around and make lots of money together when he opens a second location. Everyone else BoH really just sucks, and they probably wouldn't be able to survive if I walked away, but the chef already promised me a raise once we become profitable (it's a newish place), and I otherwise like the environment.
What do you think of my chocolate chicken mole, /ck/?
It was absolutely delicious.
is the whole oyster thing a meme?
Sushi is the sexy dish in this day and age.

Scientifically yes, socially perhaps not i guess it depends. Aphrodisiacs are more of a psych thing than biology
But don't forget the greatest aphrodisiac is money. Or just get the thot an instagram worthy meal that seems inaccessible or too expensive without you
I've been a(n ovo) vegetarian my entire life. I've been wanting to try out meat, but I'm not quite sure where to start?
>>9236053
chicken breast and lean ground beef will probably be the only things you can handle
in a year or two, seek out a legit nicaraguan take out place and get some carne asada
>>9236053
Eat a burger or some tacos...
A salad with steak fajitas or broccoli beef from chinese food.
Veggies and Meat combination is what keeps people omnivore.
>>9236066
>Broccoli beef
This, it is light, delicious and you can make the meat strips very thin to digest them better.
