Alright lads, what could I keep in this?
It's a vase, about 1/2 of a gallon in my measurements.
I live in an area where it's quite warm in the summers, and I could probably figure out a simple heating solution in the winter if it comes too it (I live in an attic, so it's always quite warm)
Could I keep a betta? An apple snail or two? I want something that's kinda visually interesting, so I don't know if I'd want to to just put some feeder shrimp in there.
If I change the water weekly (Or as often as needed) and keep a close eye on water conditions and heat, could a betta chill out with me?
I was thinking beta,.aka Siamese Fighting Fish.

If you want to keep a fish, why don't you actually buy a small tank instead of doing the equivalent of locking someone in a cupboard
>>2380916
So would something like a small snail be better?
Could ants ever achieve sentience? What would it look like?
>>2380761
An even bigger and industrialized ant colony, but the (((hierarchy))) elite ants living in the nicest caverns would have all of the honey and nectar for themselves as they legislate to import foreign ants from neighboring mounds to take up the jobs of the natively-hatched ants.
>>2380773
I don't think you're taking my question very seriously
>>2380773
>ants
>honey
stupid?
There's a stray cat that always is hanging out by my back door. I try to scare it away, whatever, it never leaves. NEVER. It keeps bringing dead animals and shit and it's pissing me off. What's a good foolproof way to make the cat fuck off and never return?
>>2380659
I guess if you kill it it'll never come back.
Otherwise, try a water hose.
>>2380659
If you put it in your house and keep it as a pet it can't return but stay.
I mean it's already bringing you gifts OP. You may as well put a ring on it.
That cat likes you, man. It probably thinks you're playing hard to get. Try making friends with it and get all clingy, then it'll probably leave.
What animal has to put up with the most bullshit to reproduce? I'm voting the emperor penguin.

I bought a new toy for my hamster. He is happy. Look at him.
>>2380529

>>2380529
>tiny little shit cage
He's not happy at all. But whatever makes you sleep at night, asshole.
>>2380535
I don't think a Ferplast Mary is tiny for a hamster
What is it about these animals that makes people want them as pets?
>>2380458
attention whoring. literally none of the animals in your picture should be kept by a private person
Why would you even want a pet owl? All they do is sit on a branch and go “hoo”.
because they look good on pictures, just like Shibas.
My cat never stays still long enough to have her picture taken and this was the first time in years someone was able to take one. Since it's a really nice picture too, I thought I'd share. Cheers.

>he's that guy that likes both cats and dogs
this is just morally wrong, it's either you're a catfag or a dogfag, you can't be both, it's like being straight or gay, you can't be both, it's one or the other.
>>2379381
Ehhh, you can anon. It's called being bisexual.
>>2379381
>>2379665
I'm bi and I do like cats and dog equally....c-coincidence?
>Pigeons lactate
Raven's bills are not good for tearing flesh; they cannot open carcasses.
When dealing with a squirrel, they may often choose to eat through the squirrel's mouth and effectively turn the squirrel inside out while crushing bones and pulling the innards out through the mouth.
>>2379303
Pigeons lactacting is a misleading wording. It's not much like mammalian milk, and they don't "lactate" as in milk being produced from mammary glands/nipples. They just regurgitate a secretion from their crop (a pouch down towards the bottom of the throat).

>Cub Petting is a practice by zoos and other entertainment facilities for paid photos and time with big cat cubs.
What are your thoughts on this, /an/?
There's been a lot of controversy surrounding the practice the past few years claiming that it's unhealthy for the cubs, they're often drugged and abused, and specifically bred for this purpose then sold off as pets or "hunting" targets. I'd like to hear different opinions and facts but 90% of what I'm seeing on Google is from places like BCR that are pretty militant about the subject.
>>2379243
I went to a cub petting thing that was at a mall magic show performance. Probably about 10 or something at the time. They were all wet for some reason and just laid about sleeping. Looking back on it they seemed overall unkempt and malnourished and were probably put under so they wouldn't get rough with the patrons. I only pet a tiger cub that could probably pass as a corpse for a few seconds before giving up.
All in all it was probably my second worst birthday.
>>2379248
I went to one in Russia and it was the exact opposite. There was a young leopard, a few foxes some tiger cubs. All the animals were alert but not aggressive. They had thick sleek coats and perfect weight (not fat and not skinny). All in all they looked healthier and happier than 80% of the zoo animals I've seen.
It'd bring in more money for sure. I'd pay to play with a lion cub.
what's this shit about cats having brain parasites? is it just some shitty meme or is it something remotely scientific?
It's a meme with as much scientific basis as the earth being flat. Dogfags just parrot it here because they're insecure and need to try to feel better about themselves.
Weird how catfags are chill about preferring cats while dogfags always shit their pants in a fury if you mention not liking dogs.
>>2379133
Look up toxoplasmosis gandii my dude
>>2379139
it's weird how in every thread about cats some toxoplasma infected, retarded catfag brings up dogs completely unprovoked
How can we convince SE Asians and Chinamen that fly eyes and mosquito wings cure erection problems instead of rhino horns and tiger penis?

Yo, list some small, calm, have no prey drive, don't need to be walked that often, dogs.
The reason i'm asking for such specific dogs is that my grandparents want a dog but the can't handle hyper-active dogs.
Maybe a well bred pug?
>SMASHED
>>2378844
Judging by the traits you listed, your grandparents don't want a dog
