So I used to like dogs, and maybe even be a little more than indifferent to cats, but after 4 weeks living with one cat and having to pick up the slack of its rather neglectful owner, and now after 2 days of dog-sitting for an owner on vacation, I can say that I'm sick of these things.
>Constantly in need of affection
>Sheds fur all the fuck over you if it even so much as walks past you; can't wear good clothes around it
>Shits
>Is picky about where it shits
>Spends most of the day inside looking bored all the time, making you feel guilty for not entertaining it
>Wakes you up in the wee hours of the morning just to get taken outside for a piss
>(Tries to) Lick you with its filthy tongue
I swear I am never getting a pet myself after this, and I have a newfound hatred for neglectful pet owners who don't realize that animals get bored out of their minds too; if you don't invest in the proper toys and personal attention they need, you need to check yourself into a concentration camp, so you can learn the meaning of suffering.

Just can't be arsed to walk her mate

Looks like someone can't dedicate 6 hours of the day to a pet, how the fuck are you going to get a girlfriend anon?
>>2416617
I was thinking the same thing; it feels like pets are just gfs without sex. Fuck that man, lel
Just like the subject line states. A friend found this Lil nigga chilling on his car. It's the size of a quarter and all black. We live in the north east of the united states if that helps any.
Oh and it's not a jumping spider either. That's already ruled out

If you were in Europe I'd say it's a walnut orbweaver but you're not so it's probably just something in Araneus.

Q tip
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpg11B0g7_k
>a stray cat with its kittens just build a nest in an abandoned shoe closet at my house
>hisses and bares its fangs at me everytime i come close
>tried befriending it by giving it food, it only makes it hiss much louder
>it ate the food I gave it anyways
What should I do guys? Not sure I want a hostile stray cat hanging around my house. It could attack and bit me or my family.
Any suggestions?
It's just being protective of its kittens. Not gonna attack you unless you mess with the litter or get too close. If you want just keep giving it food, like scraps of turkey, and it may warm up to you.
>>2416196
Oh and I'd also suggest putting a bowl of water near the cat
>>2416195
How the frick did that even happen
What a load of crap
Can anyone help identifying this mutt (shepherd mix)? My gf (not me) is scared of german shepherds and her uncertainty about pic related's parents is the only reason holding us back from adopting this pupper.
>>2416115
pic related is her brother
Surely if you raise it from a puppy, it wont scare her?
>>2416115
Nobody can tell the mix from that pic you stupid fuck. It is just a fucking mutt. I wish you fucking retards would quit expecting people to be able to tell what kind of mix a dog is from a pic of a 6 week old puppy that has no distinguishing properties.
She is very tall
It can live indoors
The stem is dark brown with light dots
The leaf is rather long.
Maybe a type of Ficus or Pachira?
it looks like drugs.
reported to the FBI
Is this a black lab or a mix?
I'm not good with this

>Is this a black lab or a mix?
yes.
check its papers
What is this double-decked bug?
There are many of them in our backyard (where there are many plants).
Are they pests? Will they destroy the plants?

They are slow and don't fly often.
>>2415945
Nope.

some kind of weevil, maybe?
I've just moved in to a new house and am in the process of doing up the garden. Problem is there's a rat bastard living under the shed.
How can I persuade my mooching mouses cousin tenant to move out?
I'm in the uk, have a small dog and really don't want to put kill traps down because there are other small animals in the area. I also get that live traps just don't work as a humane option with rats.
Lift the shed clean off its foundation
throw a running lawn mower under it
dump the shed back upside down while screaming
Don't stop screaming for a few days
Guarantee the rat will go
>>2415924
Air gun.
>>2415924
>I don't want to live trap it
>I don't want to kill it
Get a smooth interior trashcan with no lips or surfacea that can be climbed and make a rolling trap with a 2x4. Bring rat indoors, isolate for three days, clean him up, remove mites or fleas and make him your friend.
Tiny live traps are bad, but a few paper towels, water and food in a trashcan and it won't give a fuck. It'll just think it fell.

They care about the food you bring, not you.
Every customer is nice to the chef, so that he doesn't spit in their food.
>>2415882
OP, the fuck are you on about? They act completely normal like when you come home after getting groceries.
Have you ever seen how a dog reacts after the owner returns after a week?
Fucking night and day difference.
>plan to get a cottage in the woods
>plan to get doggo or some ravens
>really want to let them roam freely around the house
What are the odds that they'd just gtfo to never be seen again? Any personal experiences?
it kinda depends on the dog, if you're absolutely set on doing this, you'd be best finding a breed with low prey drive and that has a strong guarding instinct but honestly if you lost the dog it'd be entirely your own fault. if you had a high enough fence around the perimeter of your land, you'd probably be fine.
can't comment on ravens though.
You'll have to just settle for feeding the ravens, but most dogs always come home.

why does everything take so long to be dleeted her?
For those of you who have pet bugs, how did you acquire them?
I'm located in the US and I'm having a hard time finding websites that sell live bugs for pets. I know bugs in cyberspace but what they have is pretty minimal.
I would love to keep scarab beetles. Any advice on acquiring or keeping them is appreciated!
>>2415761
try asking the invertebrate general, you know, where all the guy with the bugs are

does no one even bother with the catalog anymore?
i took my cat into the vet today because i noticed a wound with leaking puss
turns out he was bit by another cat. the cost of treatment is going to be around 500$
the drainage of the puss alone would be around 200$
then he needed the anesthesia, stitches, vaccinations, medication ect.
is this a normal price for this procedure or am i getting fucked?
>>2415722
>leaking puss
If they have to put him under to get the thing stitched up, yeah. Anesthesia is expensive. I think $500 is a little on the high end, but not by much. Nothing preventing you from calling a different vet and asking for a quote, though.
>>2415722
You're getting ripped off. My guy had his tail amputated, lesion next to his butthole sewed up, and antibiotic prescription for just under $200.
