>tried befriending it by giving it food, it only makes it hiss much louder
>it ate the food I gave it anyways
What should I do guys? Not sure I want a hostile stray cat hanging around my house. It could attack and bit me or my family.
Any suggestions?

It's just being protective of its kittens. Not gonna attack you unless you mess with the litter or get too close. If you want just keep giving it food, like scraps of turkey, and it may warm up to you.
