What books does /an/ like to read?

Pic related changed my life.

I haven't read many /an/ related books. The Tiger by John Vaillant is the main one that comes to mind, real good book. Read The Jungle Book a while back also.

Here are some that are on my to-read list:
Just Life by Neil Abramson
Felidae by Akif Pirinçci
Fifteen Dogs by André Alexis

In Australia budgerigars are found in flocks. Of course cause it's their native land, but I've heard there are flocks of budgerigars in US, particularly Pheonix, Arizona. Can anyone confirm this? Any other cities with flocks of budgerigars?

We have flocks of feral parrots. Quakers and Amazon's from the top of my head. Feral budgies also live in Florida but don't seem to be a problem with the native birds.

I found this optical illusion, I don't know what to do with it, so I'll leave it here because it seems board-relevant

This is blowing my mind and I hope I'm not the only one seeing it.
Do you see it?

I had an aquarium with several crabs and one of them died (probably during the night). I thought it was male based on several guides but I noticed that under its abdomen there were some eggs.
Is there a way for them to survive or they are done for? Do they need something aside some good ventilation or not being infected by any shit (until they turn into larvae)? I'd like to know because I wanted to have more of them and they are probably difficult as fuck to get in the wild.
Pic related is the species. And it was exactly like this except more orange.

When i was a kid my dad told us we were going out for chinese. We get to the parking lot and we see about four large fully cooked crabs thrown on the ground. My dad picks it up and makes start eating it. People were looking at me like I was disgusting and my dad was there looking at me like he wanted to kick my ass.

Post your hamsters!

Also is it normal for a hamster just to be able to be still in your lap for like 20 minutes?

Yes a ham can be calm if its hand raised and feels comfortable on you. It may even cuddle in for a nap.

What is this on my cat's chin? He also has some smaller ones near his junk.
Don't know if it's related, but he does have some fleas. I gave him medicine for them but it doesn't look like it's working.

How do I break my dog's addiction to chewing these things? He knows where I keep them and will cry for quite some time in front of where I keep them in the hopes that he'll get a pizzle. He loves carrying one around with him at all times.

give him a tiny piece and then hide them somewhere else

my dog gets the protein shits real bad if he has too much at once, so it's important he doesn't get them too often/for too long

What would a good, suitable enclosure for a praying mantis be like?

Thinking about getting some eggs to hatch some for both my garden (because its big and getting pests around the fruit trees) and as pets.

Ducklings grow up really fast. If you can keep it for maybe 6 weeks- 2 months it will be big and strong enough to take care of itself at the lake.
It looks old enough to eat and drink on its own. soggy cereal or bread should be ok, just dunk it in water first. no fancy stuff. Good luck little ducky!
