You're not. I do it all the time. The animals are just native wildlife that I observe; they're not my pets or anything. I have imagined quite a bit of detail for my island.

On the windward side at the top of a rocky bluff, just on the edge of the forest, is a cabin that gets bright morning sunshine. It's a long walk from the main house through the woods, so I normally ride an atv there. I pack coffee, some food, and some water, and some comfy handheld vidya in my backpack before riding out there. Then I sit in the warm sunny cabin overlooking the ocean while eating breakfast and playing vidya in complete relaxing isolation. If I look out the back window of the cabin toward the woods I can see a pond where the stream coming from the woods pools before it flows over to the cliff and rains down into the ocean.

I think of this place to clear my mind and relax myself sometimes when I'm taking a shit

Less of a mansion and more of an underground lair with a sub pen and robotic staff, but yeah, I wouldn't mind long relaxing walks and feeding foxes, sloths and fruit bats in my spare time.

Yes. Put some food in there while you're at it. Will give the tank a chance to cycle while you're away. That way you can ease into stocking it in August instead of having to wait until September for it to cycle properly.
