What is it called when you have a 'friends-with-benefits' type situation with someone but you do all of the romantic things without the commitment of a relationship? Talk on the phone for hours, meet up on the weekends to spend time together, etc.

Both of our feelings are mutual, but we 100% can't be together in the end due to our circumstances so we're just enjoying the time we have.

But we're having difficulty describing our relationship just for the sake of it - we're more than just fuck buddies but we're not boyfriend/girlfriend.

I'm whiny and complain a lot, at least that's the impression I get from other people
it seems like people are extremely uncomfortable around anyone who expresses negative opinions of any kind but it must happen with me all of the time
what am I supposed to do? Bottling everything up and wearing a mask all day would be absolutely exhausting...

How do you do it?

How do you start dating, whether online on in person, when you are in your thirties, have never had any kind of dating experience and are generally too chicken shit and socially awkward to even bother messaging anyone online? Your too fucking old to put it off anymore, have no one to talk to because you have no friends and you're possibly suffering from some kind of anti-social personality disorder but you still know that you need to start doing this in order to feel happy.

The fuck do I do to force myself to take any kind of step? Or should I learn to just live alone forever?

How can I stop being so fucking insecure about everything?

There's this girl that has been texting me and if she takes too long to reply I already begin to think how uninteresting I am and how she probably prefers talking to other people instead of me, like it have alwys been I'm always the one left behind.

I'm studying guitar and 3D modelling for a while and have been making some really good progress, but that doesn't seem to help me, I'm always looking for validation. Specially if you consider I'm a almost 23 khv.

Be me taking a shit in bathroom
Sister asks me to toss the phone charger cord to her. The cord is a white shitty Samsung one that can tear at any given moment. I tell her that tossing it can tear the outer layer cause she did that to mine before. She throws a temper tantrum cause she doesn't want to walk and get it from my hand

How dold I live a structured life without becoming completely obsessed? I'm always constantly trying to self improve but naturally I get stuck and fall back on old habits and often end up beating myself up about it. I start trying to follow strict regiments and build up patterns but I try to do too much and when things don't go to plan it messes me up. This can also lead to a lot of procrastination. I can't stop reflecting on all the mistakes I've made and wasted time and I dwell on that instead of trying to change, or it at least gets in the way. I want to live life in the moment instead of setting so many goals in the future. I'm rambling here, but if anyone can connect with any of what I'm saying and has advice, I'd love to hear it.

Hey /adv/,
I need your help. How can I become better at communication?
I'm not talking about holding speeches or something like that.

But I lack selfconfidence when starting a conversation asking question and I get super nervous.
I recently sarted a new job after working as a freelancer for a long time. Written communication is easy for me, but talking is difficult.

When I try to explain something in team reviews, I talk way too fast, making it really difficult for other people to follow my thoughts.

And during breaks I don't know how to start a conversation or what to talk about. I'm bad at small talk. I didn't experience many good things in my life, so I lack stuff to talk about and I don't have many interests.

That leads to many awkward silences and that then again lowers my self esteem a bit.
So how can I learn to become better at small talk and to become less nervous when explaining stuff?

I'm in my 10th week at that job now, probation time is 6 months. I don't want that they decide against me later on just because I didn't communicate well enough. So I'd rather try to improve myself now :)

Any tips?

Hey /Adv/. A couple months ago I was driving home at around 2 am and was pulled over. I received no punishment and i wasn't in violation of any laws and was let go.
My question is, did this officer break any procedure/law? He was heading in the direction i was coming from and made a U turn at the nearby intersection i had just crossed and started following behind me, not on my ass or anything. While we were still moving at 40mph, and without his red and blue lights on to initiate a pull over he shined his spotlight directly into my passenger cabin, temporarily blinding me! It hit me in the eyes from all of my mirrors, and i happened to be glancing at the driver side rear view mirror at the time. I legitimately couldn't see the road. I reacted with my arm to cover my eyes and swerved a bit in that moment. That's when the traditional lights came on and i pulled over. My eyes were still watering from the initial flash of light. I made no complaints of this to him. He was relatively nice and things went well, i was pulled over because he claimed i had my brights on but I didnt. the brights on my vehicle required manual activation through and arm behind the steering wheel that id also use to signal. it must remain held back for the brights to operate. I wasn't doing either of these things. What i did wrong i suppose was that i had lights on that you'd use while driving in the rain, due to the previous day. a
Although their brightness isn't much different than my standard lights. He asked me a couple times if i had drugs or was on any i replied no and nothing was searched. I don't plan to take any serious action but I would like to hear some opinions.

So basically i'm making an amv i guess you could say, and in the project a lot of the clips i'm using have random parts where at the end of the scene it flashes a blue screen for just a couple of key frames, sometimes after i add an effect like shake onto the clip it also shows the blue screen. At first I thought it was just a PC problem I was having with Sony Vegas bc my laptop i'm using is shit, but when I rendered it and played the video, it still had the blue screen. Whenever i look it up all i get is videos and forums about actual "blue screens" as in green screen shit. Btw the clips I used didn't have the blue screen, it was when I put them into the amv is when they got the blue screen. My project is in 60 fps and the clips i used were 29 fps but i used velocity and the Twixtor plug-in to make it look nice (I don't know if that information helps but there you go..
