My interpretation is: there is a desbalance in what you re seeking, you are not choosing that person whisely. You'll eventually reach that person, but it will be a difficult way, as your enviroment might be unfavorable to this. Your mind might be sorta disturbed or not following the natural order in regards to this question. You have to work in an equilibrium of all factors to choose that person.

This question might be worrying you and so you might be choosing the wrong one right now. The way is now hard, but eventually you'll find that one (but not so easily now in your state). Relax evaluate everything about that person, and don't force it.

I too have experienced what you are describing. Many of my dreams seem to come true, sometimes immediately and sometimes years later. For example: I used to have recurring nightmares about a terrible event taking place in which a dark tower would fall and many people would die. After 9/11, I never again had this nightmare. Other examples are less intense, and therefore less memorable. As for your paranoia, it could be a manifestation of your dreams or vice-versa. My advice is to push away your fear with positive feelings of empathy for these strangers you are seeing. Imagine that they have the same hopes and fears that you have. Chances are, most of them want to live in peace just like you.
