W-wait a second, you're not seriously telling me that gyms are gone, right gamefreak? they literally cannot remove gyms from the games.
So we don't have gyms in this one or do we have both the alola island challenges AND the gyms, i would honestly preffer the former option, i'd be cool to have more stuff to do in the game.
Honestly if they remove gyms they'll lose a shit ton of fans, gyms are an essential part of Pokemon.

In ALL the games the main thing keeping the player going was clearing the gyms and reaching the pokemon league, they could replace it with 8 island leaders but there's only 4 islands and ONE (1) leader per island so it's like having JUST 4 gyms, that's flat-out unnexcusable.

Completely wrong, most casual fans will care because it's a key classic feature that's been there since the first game, they literally CANNOT remove gyms anon, gyms are so iconic for the franchise that pokemon go despite being a barebones game they STILL made sure to add gyms since the beggining since they knew that's what people wanted to see.
