Also people should debate on Sandslash and Alola Sandslash form lines viability, both of them are known as shitmons, all have terrible stats and BST and medicore movepools, where the Alola one has a better movepool and debatable STAB over the Ground one its defensive type and speed are pretty much the new main weakness.

Best you can hope is Fissure + Sheer Cold scarf luck based sets.

Just enjoy their designs, I think both forms are quite good designs in general.
Just expect mirror type moves like Rollout / Ice Ball, Earthquake / Icicle Crash etc

It makes no sense if you try to pull the Darwin excuse. For that alola form to make sense according to the Theory of Evolution, the Alola islands would have to be covered in snow, yet only a small area is. Sandshrews and Sandslashes would just move to wherever the ground pokémon of Alola live, since they're already adapted to that area and have skills to survive there.

Even if we create a scenario where there wasn't a ground type area in Alola, they'd never move to a snowy territory and learn to adapt, that would be a radical change. That would be like making them breathe underwater and become water type because they lost their homes. They'd go to the biome that resembles the ground area the most, so probably a jungle / forest.

This. The way they try to explain the reasoning of them suddenly becoming the entirely opposite element is just fucking stupid. They might as well just tell us, "we couldn't think of any good ice type pokemon designs, so we just recolored old pokemon".

I hope we get some good alola form pokemon, because I really like the idea, but given Gen 7's track record, I'm not holding my breath.
