Is hype destroying anyone else?
I've never wanted the new Pokemon game this bad, I've never been this hyped.
This legit looks like it'll be the best Pokemon game to date.
I just wish I could go to sleep and wake up in November.

I'm with you, OP. The new pokemon are refreshing, region looks fun, cool new features / shake ups to the series. Looks so much more promising than gen 6 so far.

If the full Kanto dex (barring things like maybe Legends) gets an Alolan form I'll be pretty hype.
Alolan Dragonite following Dragonair's color scheme and Alolan Golem that's maybe a fireball/meteor would be wicked.

So since there isn't too much focus on Mega Evolution, is it possible they're just being saved for post game? The main game is focused solely on new content, and the post game is for Megas/Introduction of new ones.

This is my theory.
You will be able to find mega stones throughout the game a la ORAS.
The main focus of SM will be stones. Mega Evolution will not be emphasized.
You will be given a mega evolution bracelet SM postgame.
You will only be able to wear one bracelet at a time. Thus, during pokemon battles, you will have to choose between using a mega evolution or using a "burst" attack. You will not be able to use both.
Lastly, I do not think there will be new mega evolutions, but it is a possibility. At the least, we will see the known mega stones return.
