"CoroCoro hints that Rowlet, Litten, Popplio and Iwanko all hide a secret."
From CoroCoro back in June.
We formerly thought the secret had something to do with, what we know now as Z-moves. But since Z-moves are something every Pokemon is capable of doing, this can't be the secret these 4 Pokemon share.
We've yet to hear more about what this supposed secret these 4 Pokemon share. Now with alolan variants confirmed, is it possible that these 4 have multiple evolutionary lines?
It was mentioned in the Alolan variant prediction that Rockruff has 4 unique evolutions, dependent on which island cliff it howls at. The starters evolutions, on the other hand, are possibly influenced by day or nighttime evolutions, or could even be gender-based.
Will this month's CoroCoro finally reveal the secret Rockruff and the starters share?

Half of gen 1 evolution were "it just got bigger", they should love it.

'Gyms' still exist guys, in the same format, they just have a different set up to add variety.

That's the break for story stuff and fights unrelated to the gyms, and probably where Team Whatever will show up to fuck shit up

>repeat on three other islands
That's gyms 3 through 8.The Champion is the leader of Team Whatever, and the E4 are their admins
I mean, it's just the gyms with a fresh layer of paint guys. It's GREAT that they are at least changing the way it all looks and giving an actual reason to go do these trials, and tying them more into the story instead of just being there for arbitary reasons, but it's still just the same 8 gym system, quit bitching about how THEY CHANGED IT NOW IT SUCKS.

And I thought that Charizard was supposed to have a type advantage over Venusaur. It is pretty shitty when the pokemon you are supposed to be strong against one shots you like that. I now see why Charizard is NU trash and I think Charizard Y should be there too because it is easily killable by a regular old Venusaur.
