Just read the news:
Apparently Alan Wake's being removed from ALL stores, physical and online, because some bullshit licensing issues.

Just thought I'd give people a shout, especially as it & its DLC are on big sale now. I bought the game from GOG ages ago, but I put the files to download again in case the game really is gonna be gone for good.

Does it get better after the park going to lovers peak or whatever it was? Im not exactly digging the combat and Im betting the twist is "you were a story while it's being written" so the story isn't exactly grabbing me either.

Really depends on the person. I found the later segments more memorable than the earlier sections, and the DLC was way more entertaining.

The combat's hit or miss, but it's really not a shooter game per se.

>FPS dropping below 60
>lock the framerate to 30 and plug in the controller for the "console experience"
>it looks like a slideshow and you can barely see shit when moving the camera because of motion blur
>aiming is really clunky and you can't keep up with the enemies that move fast

How can you play like this console bros? Playing a first person shooter at 30FPS is a pretty god awful experience.

P.S.
In the end I've managed to get a somewhat stable 60FPS by setting everything to low and playing at 900p resolution. This is way better than 1080p, high and 30FPS, unfortunately consoles don't have an option for that.

Every since I switched to primary PC gaming in 2010-ish, I have a hard time enjoying console games...even the ones running at 60 FPS as I now play almost everything at 1440p/100-144HZ smoothly on my 1070 .

ME2 fucked up by allowing nearly everyone on your crew to die.

This meant they couldn't put too many resources into developing their role in ME3 because not everyone would be experience it.

That's the main reason why almost every character was written into a minor role.
