I just signed the petition to bring Snyder to direct the Batman and I believe everyone here should too as well:

The reason that I want Snyder is because: his Batman was the best thing about Batman V Superman. I loved the violent Batman suffering from nightmares and it would be great for Snyder to direct a prequel (if the Batman is a prequel to BvS or if it will have flashbacks, then seeing more of Batman violently killing and another scene of that giant bat tormenting him would be great).
There isn't any other director who could make the film work (apart from maybe Chris Nolan).
Any other director is just going to make it "Marvel like" with too many quips and the tone will be all over the place. Snyder is the perfect person to make the tone for a Batman film work.
Even if you didn't like Snyder's over use of CGI (the 3rd act for me became too CGI fest) still, any other director won't hardly make it practical at all and at least Snyder made sure to make the Batmobile practical. A director like Chris Nolan I am sure would make sure to make almost the whole film practical but I doubt he would be directing the Batman.
So in the end, the only person who can make the Batman truly work is Zack Snyder and this is why you need to sign this petition.
I agree, Superman good to make haunted and tormented as Snyder tried to make him in Man of Steel but Batman is the definition of haunted and tormented and that is what Snyder does well.

I like contact, super comfycore, but I was always bummed out that they gloss over the whole "machindo" aspect from the book, really showed that the actual contact part was just icing on the cake, and the process of a world uniting to build the machine itself was the real gift.
