Your GM tells you to make a character embodying your magical realm right now. What do you make?
The twist is that it's not ERP. Your GM wants you to make a viable character concept that can be used in a normal game without it being ERP or blatantly obvious.

A human (bard, other personable character type) who's always hitting on members of other sapient species largely regardless of how strange-looking they get. I'm ready to accept them getting comically shot down significantly more often than they get by on sheer charisma.

It's been a week since you were taken under Master Tikran's wing formally, the woman continuing to train you in the ways of the Force and in lightsaber combat. Every day you've been growing by leaps and bounds, many in the Academy are concerned or amazed with how fast you've actually been developing your skills, wondering just what you really are. From a new Apprentice to an actual Padawan within two weeks of coming to the Academy, it's practically unheard of, the process normally taking months, if not years to be made official.

Tikran has said that she will not be the only one training you though, not just yet at least. As much time as you have been spending together, she does have several council duties to attend to, while the woman is still currently on Tython, she's not able to train you every day, instead entrusting your training, for the moment, to a friend of hers.

Master Vesu.

While the man isn't on the Jedi Council, he's still a tremendous force to be reckoned with, having told you several stories about his time fighting against the Sith during the war, how many he defeated because they allowed themselves to fall to their anger. Aside from telling you those stories though, or correcting your style in Makashi, he doesn't speak all that much.

As you finishing sparring with Renari, the girl still currently your only friend at the Academy, Vesu speaks up from the sideline.
>>
>>43896079
"Zev, don't be so eager to be agressive. Makashi is about control and swiftness, let your enemy make the mistakes. Renari, you need to focus on more deft strikes, Djem So is a powerful form, but you can't allow yourself to be left open." The Zabrak says with his arms crossed.

It's been like this for the past two days, the two of you training under Master Vesu. Renari hasn't been officially taken on by Tikran yet, not like you were, but from the way the woman was speaking, it wouldn't be too long before that could change, and you'd have a Co-Padawan under your Master.

>"Are we done for the day, Master?"
>"Let the two of us go another round."

"Most people have wards." Elza explains. "It protects them from just about anything. But, in his infinite wisdom, Thomahar the God of Magic made it so that wards will not exclude things vital for survival. So a basic ward will allow air to flow in and out, light to reach you, gravity will still have an effect. This spell right here will allow one to get past a ward using these weaknesses. It allows you to gather up the air around you and launch it at an opponent. Now, variations of this spell can be used for all kinds of things. Who can give me a variation?"

>She looks out to the class. Ajna raises her hand.

"One could gather water from around them."

"Yes, one could do that. And it would take less energy than creating water. What's another?"

>Illya answers this time.

"One could gather energy."

"Possible but the amount of energy needed to store it would make it pointless unless one were to be saving it for later. So, it does have it's uses."

>Tali raises his hand.

"One could gather something like fire or light. Make it dark."

"That is indeed another way." Elza says. The bell rings. "Alright, class is dismissed. I'll see you all in two days."

>The students pack up their belongings.

Alright, orb. We got the whole day to ourselves. What should we do?

“Yeah,” you say cautiously, eyeballing the skimpy clothes she picked out for Willie. You can't imagine Little Miss Band-Aids and Braid wearing *anything* like that and not melting into a puddle of embarrassment on the spot. “How about... no.”

Shimakaze pouts at you. “Maybe later? She could be *ever* so fast-”

“Just-” you close your eyes and point at the water. “JUST GET INTO THE GODDAMN WATER BEFORE I KILL MYSELF, BOTH OF YOU!” You point for emphasis. Yuudachi pois with disappointment when Shimakaze sets the clothes down gently on the ground - she really did pick them out, it seems.

You unmute your headphone as they head out to join the main group - it seems that Sammy's been wrapped in chains attached to Hamp and Sendai's kedge anchors. She's still making pretty fair progress anyways, swinging at the end of her anchor chains as she puts her rudder hard over, biting the air as Shimakaze breezes past. “Okay, go ahead and resume practice, I guess - and Hamp?”

“Hmmmmmmm?” he says, leaning over a bit to check out Shimakaze's ass - firm, round and easily visible as the sea breeze lifts her miniscule skirt. “Could you cover Shimakaze up with your coat?”

“Aw, Willie's a good girl,” Hamp says smoothly between sips of coffee. “She'll stay on the straight and narrow, no worries.”

“I was more worried about Sammy.”

He glances at Sammy, who's face is turning beet red, coal-black smoke pouring from her stacks as the links of the anchor chains begin to elongate and stretch under her full and absolute power. “Hmm. Okay. Here I go to coat the ship.”

“Sendai...”

“Yes, Admiral?”

“Have you ever heard of radar?”

Sendai's face falls faster than Trump's poll numbers. “T-the abyssals h-haven't had radar so far-”

You hear Hamp's smirk; a kind of rustling of lips against his Starbucks lid as his mouth shifts. “Yeah, how long do you expect that to last?”

Sendai draws herself up to her full height - which is even less than usual, given the exaggerated effect of your optics. “L-LISTEN HERE, YANKEE! FANCY GIZMOS AND HOKEY A-SCOPES ARE NO MATCH FOR A GOOD RANGEFINDER AT YOUR SIDE!” Sendai crosses her arms, the corners of her eyes crinkling as she squeezes them shut against the hated truth. “Radar is unreliable! The antennas are huge and easily struck by shellfire; they're easier to knock out than optics are! Turn them on and you reveal your position to anyone with a direction-finding loop, which is every ship and every plane besides! They're just electronic spotlights, except they're even easier to shoot out and you only get one! Keen optics and star-shells let you attack while maintaining the advantage of surprise!”

“Yeah, hon-”

“D-DON'T CALL ME HON!”

“-the problem there's that cruisers and battleships are built around long-range gun superiority. They don't care if they reveal their location as long as they get a good fix on yours.”

“Not all radars can lay guns!”

“They don't have to, as long as they show you where to look, and where to send the star-shells. Effective five-inch range is a bit further than effective torpedo range, even with Long Lances.”

Sendai's mouth goes all wavy as her composure buckles at last. You see her eyes glistening with barely-restrained tears before she closes them again, her shoulders slumping with defeat as she heaves a bitter, stoic sigh into the mic.

“T-there's no helping it...” she says faintly, dropping to her knees, head bowed. “I... I have no role now, unless you give me one.” She lifts her chin, turning her wide, sparking eyes onto you. “Admiral... please... please take care of me.”

“Settle the Sheeeeeeeik,” Hamp says, his mouth rolling right-to-left as he slings the slang sideways at you. “Damn.”

“Y-YOUR MICROPHONE IS ON Y-YOU SHAMELESS YANKEE PIG!”

You sigh. “Okay, just, uh-” you sigh again, struggling to get your brain back on track after whatever the *hell* that bullshit was. “What if I told you how to fool radar?”

Sendai gasps. “W-what!?”

“Fool it. Spoof it. Use its limited information against your enemies, and by this deception move them how you wish.”

Sendai's staring at you like you're the Second Coming of Amaterasu. “Such... such dark sorcery exists?”

“It sure does. Hey, Hamp, care to help me out?”

Through determination, magnificent application of superior technology, and unwavering courage, the Tau defied the odds and the overwhelming might of the Imperium. Upon Mu’gulath Bay, the Imperial scum were once again broken and sent fleeing back to their Emperor. It would have been a great and decisive victory for the Empire but alas.....

The Imperials, refusing to graciously accept their defeat, have enacted the unthinkable. They unleashed a weapon of mass destruction on Mu’gulath Bay. The world was set to blaze. Millions of Tau died alongside the surviving Imperial forces that could not have been evacuated (estimated to be 50% of the surviving Imperial forces). The devastation did not stop there. The blaze blossomed into a great conflagration that expended and covered the entirety of the Damocles Gulf in a corrosive sea of plasmic flame. The Tau Empire is cut off from its newly won colonies and worlds and the rest of the galaxy.

Earth Caste research in creating shields that can withstand trips through the Damocles firewall proved to be promising. Ships managed to get through the wall. However, causality rates are high.

Shadowsun and Farsight bid farewell to each but not before Shadowsun warning Farsight that there will be a reckoning between them in the future. Farsight returned to his Enclaves to find under the shadow of Leviathan. The fight is far from over.

The future of the Tau that was once bright with promise, after the great victory on Prefectia, is now...blurred with uncertainty. However, The Greater Good endures and with it so does hope.

Enough talk. Now time for some new fabulous art!

It's been two days since you came to the Academy, forever altering your life and the path it's going to take. In the past 48 standard you've learned quite a bit about yourself, made a fairly interesting friend in the daughter of a Sith Lord, impressed at least one member of the Jedi Council, and even picked up a rather interesting little training saber that most others shy away from. Renari told you that the dueling saber isn't a popular choice for many Jedi or Sith, at least as far as her memory goes, because of how unique it is in the subtle differences to properly use it. Not many people using one, or the Form that it's most commonly associated with though, that can give you an advantage.

You still haven't actually spent a night in your own room since you got here, only stopping by to pick up the outfit that was waiting for you. The street clothes you came here in are nice, and you aren't giving them up, but Master Tikran was rather adament that you at least try to blend in a little bit, rather than going full force with how... 'unique' you are compared to the rest of the students at the Academy. Really though the woman has been a great help to you, she's not officially taken you on as her Apprentice, but she's been the Master you've so far spent the most time with.

Currently the two of you are walking together through the halls of the main building of the Academy, having just finished a session of meditation practice in the library, a skill that she had told you would be vital if you were going to have full control of yourself. It's something you're slightly having trouble with, letting your mind relax enough to the point where you can simply surrender yourself to the Force and all, but the Togruta woman says you're making good progress.

"Tell me, Zev." She starts speaking as you round a corner "What do you believe is your greatest advantage when you're forced into combat?"

===========================

When we last left our dear 'hero' Zev, he had just finished having the lewds with his new friend Renari, a girl that identified herself as Sith despite being literally surrounded by Jedi on a daily basis, likely not the most effective way of making friends in a place like this, but it apears to have worked with Zev so far! Though, unfortunately, due to their rather questionable decision to actually follow through with the full lewdness, Zev and Renari were caught by a Jedi just as the 'fun' was starting.

While on Nar Shadda something like this would have likely resulted in someone being shot, Zev sadly lacked a blaster at his side, thus, through his usual smartassness, and the presence of Younglings not too far behind the Jedi, Zev and Renari were left in peace. All is not well for our hero though, as both he and his new friend have been ordered to report to the Jedi Council, only time will tell what may come next for Zev... his next actions could be quite important for the young man's future...

Standing atop the great staircase in the middle of the Academy, Renari is standing at your side as the two of you look up at the incredibly large door in front of you. It seems as though it was carved out of a special sort of stone and would be incredibly heavy to even attempt to move... though considering the Jedi are the Jedi, that could be intentional. No better way to discourage someone from intruding than to make it so they literally can't unless they have the power to move this sort of thing out of the way.

"So... I'm gonna guess we just knock and hope they answer?"

You ask your smaller companion as you stand there with your hands in your pockets.

"Yup."

Renari simply answers, the girl's hair still appearing to be quite a mess after your earlier activities. There's a distinct feeling in your gut that this could be quite the important meeting, if the Jedi Council is actually as important as it sounds... well, it's highly unlikely many apprrentices on their first day would be brought before them, right?

You are John James Green, mutant vagrant.

“You’re sure? You’re sure it only works like… like that?”

You’re facing a wall. Behind you, a pink-skinned girl with the physique and the demeanor of a fantasy pixie thing is tugging on a pair of jeans. You can’t help but feel your blood quicken slightly – you can’t see Megan, but you don’t really need to. Your nose, your ears, even the way the cool air of the downed apartments plays at your skin; all of them come together into a pretty comprehensive picture of your surroundings.

“As far as I know.” You say. “Believe me, it’d tell you if I could just lay on hands.”

“Lay on what?”

Y’know, like… like one of those faith healer types.” Quacks, you add, inwardly.

“Oh.” She laughs nervously. “We don’t have many of those sorts back home. Um, you can turn around now.”

You shuffle about awkwardly.

Looks like she’s tidied her mattress up a bit too. There’s a small pile of old clothes that she’s attempted to shove behind it, out of sight.

“How’d you know to come, anyway?”

“Laura asked me to.” You pause, and add: “I heard you helped me out. Thought I should return the favor.”

Megan blinks in surprise, her wings perking up slightly (the damaged one sort of flops about a bit).

“She did?” The color of her skin makes it hard to see, but you can smell the blood rising to her cheeks. Jeez. “That’s super cool of her…”

There is a moment of awkward, almost standoffish silence, before she speaks up once more:

“So, it, uh, it has to be blood?”

==============

You are Zev, a street rat punk kid from Nar Shadda that grew up with nothing more than your wits and a blaster at your side to protect yourself. It wasn't an easy life, and one that probably wasn't going to have a very happy ending, but it was the only life that you had ever known. Only through pure luck, something that always seemed to follow you, had you been found by the Jedi Order and brought into their ranks. Not to say you exactly fit in just yet, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, as your unique behavior and way of going about things has already brought attention to you, though it remains to be seen if that will actually be a good thing for you in the long run

The rest of the older new initiates were tested for what combat ability they might have, though none faired as well as you did against the apprentice known as Jerridan. A redheaded girl seemed quite eager to combat you as well after the showing that you gave while in the ring, but Grandmaster Satele Shan told her that she would need to wait. As you watched the rest of the bouts, when it was the turn of the Zabrak male that you came to Tyhton with on the ship, you did your best to cheer him on and offer a bit of advice, though he was still defeated.

When all the bouts were finished, the Grand Master dismissed the gathering of Jedi and Apprentices to announce that dinner would be served shortly, and that you would be free to eat alone if you so chose. This was when the redheaded girl from earlier once more caught your attention, as the two of you ended up as some of the few stragglers to the rest of the group, looking much calmer than she did earlier, the girl locked eyes with you and thumbed back towards the Academy, nodding her head as though she wanted you to follow her.

You don't know who she is, and the way that her attitude changed from so cheery and fight happy, to someone that seemed to be so serious was rather strange. She appears to just be an apprentice as well, so it's not as though you'll have to do as she wants you to, but if she's that interested in talking, it could be a good idea.

Putting together a jungle-themed undead army for KoW, mostly because all of my years of playing Fantasy I've never seen any undead themed undead besides the Zombie Pirates for Lustria (and those could be anywhere).

I'm looking for a few things.

A. Eagle helmets like seen in this picture. The closest I can find is some Mayan warrior, and that's just a bunch of feathers with a beak.

B. Jungle plants that don't look like plastic vomit, even if it's a tutorial to put them together. I've seen a lot of people with jungle terrain, but the only good ones are some project on CMON (Welcome to the Jungle) and terrain by a professional terrain company. I want to do basing kind of like this though.

Hey /tg/, how do you destroy a magical artifact which is so powerful that it can regenerates itself even when thrown in the core of a sun?
Asuming our level of technology and magic at best?
(Pic not even barely related)

Does it need to be destroyed or removed from the equation?
You could just send it to another plane, or put it in a bag of holding and dropping that into a portable hole.

Throw it into a black hole, let some other turd burglars deal with it. Just chuck it with a railgun in the direction of where you don't want it to be and it probably won't be your problem.

In fact, if you could put it in a chest and enchant the chest with an anti-scrying/summoning spell, that'd be even better.

Disenchant it. Magic is just raw potential, let it fade back into the weave. Artifact crumbles into dust.
