Hey /tg/,

A while a go we had a server for minecraft called Parnatha. Lots of /tg/ presence. It got shut down because of lack of funds and time.

I'm going to start it up again on a new world, many new features. Any of the old players out there? Or any new players interested.

Pic related is the new map,
Here is the old thread for the OLD map.

Hans, hunter, targeteer, mercenary from the Old World
>Ok.

Ironfist, warforged warlord/fighter

Grash half-orc fighter
>Only if you can beat me first!

Corran Finn, failed jedi apprentice, smuggler, entrepreneur, on the run from the Galactic Empire since 14
>If you can find me again, I might even think about it!

Father Alejandro of the Castillian nobility (thean priests can actually marry)
>So, not much change from what I do already? See my father abut it, he might have some qualms about it, since you don't seem to have noble birth.

It turns out that the gods were simply heroic, highly accomplished mortals - maybe sorcerers or actually possessing some kind of supernatural power, but maybe not, and certainly not divine.

Too cliche, or still makes for a good twist (at least it beats "they were advanced aliens" by this point)?

There are a few ways you could play with that and have it still be interesting. Maybe the gods are all mortals who have, through, substantial deeds, been believed in by enough people that something of them has survived and grown, becoming more than human on their death.

They don't know how or why it happens, and they are themselves questimg across the plane for the source of their divine power - some to capture, harness, or abuse it, some to defend and uphold it, some to simply understand it, each according to their nature.
>>
>>43996510
>certainly not divine.

That's not really something I'd want the narration to take a stance on.

Fuck it, can you stand?

You are Brianna la Croix, exiled necromancer, and you are standing up in a waiting room, somewhere, with a triumphant look on your face and your arms folded across your chest.

"You look awfully satisfied for someone who just killed a man in agony," Lora drawls from her bench.

"Y'know what, you can crouch down and lick my -"

"That an order?" Lora interrupts, raising an eyebrow.

"Be careful what you say here, heritor," the angel advises in the same tired, distant tone that she always keeps.

"You keep using that word," you note. "What do you mean?"

"You ever read a dictionary?"

"...I hate you so much."

You sit back down and scowl at Lora, irritably. "You going to be of any help this time?"

"I dunno, am I?" she asks, quirking her eyebrow yet higher. "Depends on what you ask."

Your eyes activate to the sight of a rocky ceiling. It is pitch black, save a strange blue glow emitting from your chest

You have no memory of who you are, other than that you are Generation One Golem, an experimental Golem build by a team of Gnomes and Dwarves in an attempt to create perfected artificial life. To what you remember, you were deemed a partial success. Beyond that, you remember nothing.
You sit up, and your internal night vision activates.
You are in some sort of cave. The wall the far right of you is made of rubble, and has cracks of light peeking through it.
Beyond that, there is nothing in the room you can notice.

These threads go really fast when people are bitching about Mage. But this thread let's try NOT doing that...

Most of the resources from the starting post are out of date or broken, so we should work together and make a new batch of resources. If you've got a house rule (1e, 2e, or even oWoD) feel free to share it. What do you do in your games to make things run smoother? Does anyone want to stat up some NPCs? Maybe some monsters? Do you have any homebrews to share? If anyone has advice on making a Chummer style sheet generator, that'd be super helpful.

Here's the images I use to start threads http://imgur.com/a/oerTd

I'm also currently working on updating Geist to 2e, since I can't wait another ̶t̶h̶r̶e̶e̶ two years. Feel free to make suggestions.

SPEAKING OF MAGE!

So in my game my changeling player is trying to find a vampire elder in torpor that he can wake up and then recruit to overthrow and replace the prince in the local court.

Such a vampire exists, and he was staked, then locked in a sarcophagus, and locked away by the prince about 100 years ago. He is being kept in a secret chamber underneath an abandoned lumber mill outside of the prince's immediate territory.

The prince's chamberlain has a pet moros mage - they captured her and have used dominate on her so thoroughly, along with a couple of other disciplines like Despond, as to reduce her to a silent automaton for the most part. She'll eat, and breathe, and sleep, but she follows simple orders without a discipline even needing to be used at this point. For tall orders, the count or the chamberlain use dominate to control her actions directly.
She has the following arcana:
Death 4
Space 4
Forces 3
Matter 2

and a gnosis of 5

The count uses her to scry across his territory frequently, and has put up certain wards to alert him to the presence of certain supernaturals when they enter his domain. He's had her bind ghosts to a number of locations to serve as guardians or spies. The lumber mill, obviously, has a few powerful ghosts bound to the building - but what else could she be used for to keep intruders out of the mill and/or alert the Count to their interference so he can intervene? I'm not that familiar with mage, so help me out pls

>I'm also currently working on updating Geist to 2e, since I can't wait another ̶t̶h̶r̶e̶e̶ two years

Two years? Aren't you optimistic...
>>
>>43991853

I figure with death and space, she could perform a ritual letting her know when anything dead enters the lumber mill - making her aware of any vampire interlopers. This wouldn't work on a changeling, however. Forces and matter could potentially be used to fortify the entrance. But I mean with these powers at her disposal will it even be possible to infiltrate the mill? There are no vampire guards because the count doesn't want ANYONE to know about what he has hidden there.

Hey /tg/, I want to hear about the Magical Weapons, Armor, Clothing and other paraphernalia that your party has used. Doesn't matter if they're useless or overpowered, I just want to know about the ones that your characters have owned and found a use for.

Here's one from a campaign I was in a while back.

>The Goblin's Eye- A small ebony ring inset with a single beady black jewel. The band of the ring is inscribed with Fae Script that glow with a pale red light when the ring is activated which grants the bearer the sight of a Goblin. Goblins are a particularly nasty breed of Fae with the ability to see with perfect clarity in total darkness as well as ignore magical illusions.

Our Paladin wore it often as he'd been messed up by magical illusions before.

My GM gave me a wand of spinning once. I could use it only once a day. It was given to me as a joke.
>When you activate the wand (full turn action) you spin in place for three turns. During this time, any non-magical clothing or weapons are removed and folded neatly nearby, and you sparkle for 1d4 minutes.

Through shenanigans, I discovered the following:
>I could activate it when I was about to hit the ground from a stupid height, and survive falls
>I could activate it while grappled to escape a grapple
>I was fireproof during the spin
>Falling objects (even a floating castle that crashed into me once) ricocheted off me
>I could use it while stunned

The Hooligan Ring

-In Ages long past and forgotten the gods were want to contest each other on their personal prowess and the quality of their followers giving them instruments of divine quality for them to go out and complete tasks as a way of showing their worth.

One such god, the Hooligan God, was amused by the affair and sought to wield the hubris of his fellows to bring them low. He approached his greatest priest with the offer to do so and willingly gave his life so that his soul may live on in a ring of the Hooligan God's make and offered it to one of his fellow God's Champions.

The Soul of the ring was gifted with greater magic and the ability to cast powerful illusions to sow confusion and doubt building such schemes as it observed in whomever wore the ring bringing calamity to the other gods that amused the Hooligan to no end.

The ring still exists and moves from person to person sowing more and more discourd for it's own pleasure now being it's only reason for being as the Hooligan God and the other gods have long since passed into obscurity.

We actually just got a neat little artifact called the Plunderer's Plotter.

It's basically a sheet of parchment that automatically begins tracing out a map the interior of any structure the holder is inside. It only traces out the parts that the holder has seen themselves, but the real useful part is how it marks out living beings and notes changes to the structure. If I see a room with four Orcs in it, the Orcs will be marked on the map AND the map will constantly updated their position, even if I'm not looking at the Orcs. I can also drag my finger around the parchment to zoom in and out and look at different parts of the map should the building be very large.

It automatically resets when it's taken outside.
