Welcome to Academy City. The time is evening, the weather is drizzly, and the date is January 29.
You are Kyril Torikov, Level 3 telekinetic ‘superhero’ and you had just been released from custody by your boss. It helped that she was also law enforcement. You were too but not in your civilian persona. Your day job was running a protection racket. It was complete with things like managing employee ‘retirement plans’ and ‘dispute mediation’ with local law enforcement. At least now your civilian self could boast of having been arrested, if only to be taken in for questioning. You had nothing to do with all those dead whores that had been popping up.
As the sunset it was time to get to work as VERDICT. Tonight you were attempting to foil your nemesis, Lupin IV and her attempts to make off with a potential ecological disaster. The plan was to give the master thief exactly what she wanted, and then some. It was certainly better than trying to deny her outright. At least here she had given you a time and a location, tonight and at the Silver Smile Social Club respectively. Dictating the outcome was easier with those two variables known.
The question then was where exactly you needed to be to stop her from making off with her prize. Being present for the ‘handoff’ would allow you to personally intervene. Though, given who you were up against, Lupin IV most likely had something to deal with you face to face. The other option was to sit back with an anti-material rifle and hope she didn’t mind being shot at from several hundred metres away. It also meant that Nayuta herself would have to go and make the drop off but your boss didn’t have a problem with that.

Manipulating two nations to fight one another and destabilizing the region before calling in the army he's been preparing for years (some of which he'll 'recruit' from the manipulated) to sweep up the refuse.

If a robot or android, knowing it is effectively immortal be perfectly fine with doing more dangerous tasks? If its body gets destroyed it's as simple as loading a backup into another body or simply taking the protected memory from the destroyed body.
Or perhaps they might not like the idea of being considered so 'disposable'?

Depends on how reliable said "immortality" is. If there's a risk of permanently dying, they might not like it so much. They might also be bothered if they lose short term memories that didn't have a chance to be backed up. It's pretty awkward to be doing something, then the next second you're waking up in a new body with someone telling you that the last week of your life got deleted when a truck ran you over or something.

A while a go we had a server for minecraft called Parnatha. Lots of /tg/ presence. It got shut down because of lack of funds and time.

Pretty simple. We are playing a Pathfinder campaign but ONLY using the basic book.
The druid of our team wants to multiclass with barbarian and I was wondering if this would be a good idea and if you could help me with the ways of doing so (remember, only basic book).
Also I was wondering if it is possible to use your rage powers while in animal shape.

The best way to build this is to quit the fucking game, and play something else.
The second best way is to just focus on wild shape fighting and just mention his character is just really angry.

Gygax messed up anyway -- medieval lamp oil was vegetable oil, and if you try to light it without a wick, it'll just extinguish the flame. Even kerosene will do this, and that's way better than period lamp oil.

The kind whose role in the setting, goals in life, and general attitude are more mundane. I'm tired to death of chosen ones, exiled royalty, and fulfillers of destiny.
Somebody make a quest where the MC's goal is mundane. Like perfecting the recipe for the realm's most delicious stew. Or improving his lot in life by going from deckhand on a merchant ship to owning his own trade lines. Or researching enough magical theory to make his friend a phylactery so he doesn't die of fantasy-AIDS, because bros do that kind of shit.

You are Tsukuda Ryouta, a Shinigami of the 12th Division.
Almost two years have passed since Urahara Kisuke, the Captain of the Division, had you graduate prematurely from the Academy to have you focus on more specialized training for your future post. Unlike your time in the Academy, your duties stand out in the 12th Division - you've received the unique, semi-official rank of a spiritual investigator; your duty is to investigate paranormal occurrences in the Human World. It pays well even though it's unofficial, far better than most graduates could normally hope for.
Those two years were mostly spent studying rather than physically training. You occasionally had to practice the basics with an instructor, to make sure that you wouldn't forget the things you've learned from the Academy, but that's as far as it ever went. Urahara Kisuke didn't have the time to tutor you personally, though he devised your studying program himself. In addition to that, there was also the Shinigami Research and Development Institute's primer: their rules, several courses on the equipment they use, advanced terms on spiritual composition, a more detailed study of the world's balance, human history, the physics of the Human World... There was a lot to go through, but you won't feel lost outside of Soul Society anymore.
The barracks are comfortable and you didn't have much trouble getting used to the new conditions. Your neighbors haven't asked for much more than your name and you make sure not to bother them unless you need to.
You haven't had any contact with the people you knew back at the Academy. They've graduated by now as well, so it's not surprising if they don't have the time. You probably shouldn't bother them for a while.

"A Shinigami named Ito Satoshi, 8th Division, has been persistently reporting Hollow slayings when none had actually occurred according to our readings. He's upset because we're withholding the bounty, but we can't even determine which Hollow he'd slain. It might sound surprising, but many Hollows look very similar to each other, so a description doesn't cut it when it comes to identification. But on the contrary, our readings are usually good enough to accurately determine such a thing."
Urahara glances at one of the monitors, the one showing Area Number 4851 in the corner of its display. It must be the location you'll be heading to; all it shows is a green grid with a few blinking dots on it.
"Your mission is very simple. If he's lying for the sake of a paycheck, well, tell us, and we'll make sure he's reprimanded. If you feel like getting him to stop yourself, it might be worth a try, I suppose." The Captain smiles, shrugging a bit. "But if there's something more to it than that and it's us who need to check our equipment, well, please figure it out for us, Ryouta-kun."
He takes something out of his pocket. It's a small phone. You've heard and read about the concept of cellphones, but you've never actually seen them.
"This is an experimental communications device that we've developed, the Denreishinki. It actually did really well in practical tests, so we've been pushing to supply every Division with them. In addition to allowing us to constantly maintain contact, it also detects Hollows and has a set of other various functions. Here you go."
You flip open the device and press a few buttons to make sure that it works. It seems to function just fine.

Mind you, it's not a quota or anything like that. Just if you happen to get the chance. Your mission and well-being naturally take priority."
