H-hype? Sorry, I'm just a bit frightened after last time. God, we screwed the pooch, there.
Now let me tell you right now guys, this thread may run pretty short, depending on how much you guys decide to do. I will be stopping short of The Lastsince I haven't actually seen it
This thread will cover what happens in the time leading up to it. Just a heads up

To all of the lovers of White Wolf Games,
>It is with sadness but understanding that we must remove this site from the Internet, having received a command to do so by one of the lawyers of Paradox Entertainment. Per their terms of service, not even a single word concerning their game systems may be placed upon the Internet without their express consent. It does not matter if this is a simple list of Merits and Flaws with absolutely no definitions and page numbers referencing where they are found, or if it is a set of instructions on a system for their games -- it must be removed if it is associated to White Wolf Publishing. So to all of you I wish you a fond farewell. I shall leave the links above, as I still love their games even if they do not love us trying to help others to understand their games' creation rules. I shall continue to support their projects, and I hope that you do as well.

Don't you want to play an Acanthus™, strongest and bestest of all mages, way better than those despicable Obrimos (euuuuurrrrggggh) apes?
Okay so first off I'm not advocating for either side of the Martial vs Caster debate but one of the martials biggest arguments is that Casters can perform amazing superhuman feats while the Martial can'tbarring magic items and a lot of Feats
So my question is how would you buff Martials without nerfing Casters in any way in order to eliminate the perceived disparity
What even game system are you talking about bruh?

Everything is going better than expected. I am gathering so much useful data. I'm expecting Spess Mareen Republican Commando to end sometime October-Novemberish due to the delays we've sometimes had, but I think everyone's having fun so far. And as the late game begins it lets me try out weirder enemy mechanics.
It's certainly given me idle time to start considering the start of Solaris: Binary Soul, at the very least.
An anon also kindly created a massive 2E combined armoury spreadsheet. Its absolutely insane. Its in the homebrew folder too.

A note that I will be updating the information bins after this thread.
You are Tom Gainer and things got a bit fuzzy. Taking a moment to clear your head, you remember you and your Super Union partner, Cicada Killer, we entering the burnt out husk of a restaurant. You discovered what the skeleton of building previously was after examining a partially intact sign proclaiming "Yung Sim's Mongolian Express #3." A muffled moan from behind the counter brought both you and Cicada Killer to alarm and bravely and heroically burst down the door into a trap. Behind that door was indeed your Super perpetrator, but you aren't sure whether it was or was not Melissa McNiel. The features of her face were similar, save for the bright red skin and horns. Another large difference was the fact that this woman was more akin in size to an Amazon of myth. She had to rival Jim in height.
You didn't have time to study more of her features after that, as your memory comes to an abrupt end. Those were the last things you remember.
You take the time to look around you. Where are you?

Most every judge I know would just flat out ban it from use. Technically speaking, it's a Forest- it is named Forest, so that's what it is. However, I have seen maybe one or two people in my entire career who consider this to be an interesting novelty to put into a mono-green deck. Every other person has wanted to use it to confuse their opponent, which is why I would say "Just go get normal Forests from the store's draft box".
Let's try this shit again, keep it civil this time.

Would you be comfortable playing a roleplaying game on camera?
Would you try asking them not to film it? What if they recorded you without your knowledge and shared it online without your consent?
I'd be a bit flattered to be honest.
It's perfectly reasonable to ask them not to if you're not comfortable with it, and it's perfectly reasonable to kick them from the group if they did it without your consent. That shit's creepy yo
What kind of roleplay we are talking about?
So, I'm confused about guns in the mid to late 1800's. So, we have powder and shot guns and rifles, and everybody is using them. Then, cartridges pop in in the 50's and... powder and shot firearms keep being produced? For decades!? What the hell happened? Was the industry resisting change?
I mean, i understand the military going "holy shit, we don't want to replace our 50 million muskets! Shit's expensive!", but what about everyone else? Did powder and shot firearms become inexpensive in the wake of new technology, so you had every cheapass with one? I mean, why would any company produce a brand new model cap and ball revolver when they could as easily produce a new cartridge loaded revolver? Was there a huge demand for them?
>>47621803
Not sure if /his/ or /k/...
>>47621831
It's for my mid 1800's game. I don't think either of those boards will be able to answer the follow up gaming questions. Like, would there be a mechanical advantage to players using cap and ball weapons? would they even be cheaper?
It seems to me like powder and ball firearms in this era might end up being trash loot for PCs...
>>47621803
They didn't have mass production back then, you know. Each rifle was hand made. It took about 2 days on average for a rifle to get made. ball and powder was also easily replaceable - you had to either buy really expensive cartridges, or make them yourself, and that was not easy stuff to do.
It took an industrial Revelation for that shit to be made cheap.

reposting from last thread:
I read some of lovecrafts works and I loved them, I also like this concept about madness letting one see things others normally can't, So I was thinking that for one character I am playing, on a non CoC campaing, he slowly starts going insane, at first hearing whispers he dismisses, then starts being paranoid about a lot of things, things get worse and worse, his dreams are not even nightmares, but a collection of random events, ranging from historical events, everyday situations to cryptic messages and or warnings, easiest way to visualize it: someone took a bunch of film rheels, cut them then mixed them into one big mess.
The character looks like it may never recover, then next day, he's calm and happy, as if every single one of his problems was magically solved overnight. Friends assume their help worked wonders, but in reality, the character realised insanity was a good thing, but at the same time, it was not for everyone.
Now the idea may sound stupid I know, but how would I expand on the last point, the whole "is still insane, but doesn't show it, character does best to pretend he recovered sanity"

Stompy has edged out Mono U Delver as the most popular deck on MTGO. Get wrecked Delver.
(It's only by one more deck in the meta, but Delver has been king for a long time... and it doesn't take into account UB Delver which is objectively worse than Mono U)

If you don't already have some homebrew version with friends, follow the MTGO card pool and banlist (and please spread this to your friends that start playing with you). Currently the only place Pauper is officially supported by Wizards is online, and they have a card pool and banlist, therefore that is the format we should be using offline on paper as well, since decks and cards can transfer to games between each other with no confusion.

The bottom left has a box, select MTGO Pauper, all cards in the card pool and banlist are taken into account.

If you have no local paper competition, but want to play a vast amount of Pauper, it can't be beat, even if it is a clunky GUI, you learn quickly.
Some good decks for newbies include but are not limited to:
>Burn
>Elves
>Goblins
>Stompy
>Slivers
>Affinity
>Mono U control
>UB Teachings

This is what happens when WotC doesn't regularly ban cards to force a meta change, the meta evolves on its own. I'm all for banning stupid cards, but to force a meta change? Nah son.
Green is going to be super popular with Mongoose and now Stompy being the confirmed king Delver killer.
