Hello /tg/, I've recently gotten into tabletop games, but I missed my chance to join the most recent D&D game some friends started. So I wanna try something online.

Thing is, I only roleplay girls, because I like to draw them, and because they're fun to draw. And this site, Roll20, typically does voice chat in roleplays.

So I figure this would be a good place to ask, is there a free voice-changing software that's decent enough and can make me sound like a girl? Does anyone use any in particular that they would recommend? Google turns up some sketchy as fuck results, and the ones I've tried have been too buggy to do anything with. And if there's something that's not free but works really well, I could take a look at that as well.

I was running the Victor III in that game. We ended it 2 turns after I popped my 2 ASROC's, judging by the picture I they would have tracked (1nmi. search radius from impact location, picture looks to be from 1 or 2 turns before the launch).
Of course we both had fish in the water after that, as he had a solid hit on my location at time of launch, and I had a bearing based on his evasion of incoming missiles and the passive lock I achived with a really lucky roll early on.

That's pretty much the same problem I have. I get a neat tagline or concept for a setting or an aspect of one, but I can't extrapolate from it to make a full world, or fill in enough gaps that I can run a game with it.

What ideas has it been most recently for you guys?

For me, it's a...

- Space Fantasy based on every HFY trope and story that isn't shit (surprisingly few) and a couple of good space superstition threads.

- Heroic Fantasy based on American history and folklore, as opposed to European.

- Superhero game - something street level, like Daredevil/Jessica Jones, where they finally build up to the big bad, for him to be just a guy with powers like theirs actually trying to change things for the better, and giving them the rundown on why beating up on street level crime is just getting their vigilante jollies off.

Has anyone ever played an RPG campaign as a necromancer?

I really want to play a game as a novice necromancer and slowly build power and influence, establish a cult, raise undead, craft dread magic items, take over the world, and become a lich. Maybe something like the events of the initial stages of the Warcraft III campaign but as an RPG.

Anyone ever played in a game like this, or run a game like this?

Currently you’re en route to a parking orbit around the planet, which you have yet to name. Recently, I've come up with a idea for a bbeg that I'll use for a future campaign. But I am having trouble really balancing him out, how should I keep him dangerous but keep it to where the party can defeat him?

My idea for this reality warper bbeg is that he/she started to fuck with a setting's version of reality by having it slowly alter to our version of reality, for example lets say it's a Kill La Kill campaign. If Lady Satsuki tried telling him something from atop her tower, like she does in the anime allot, neither party would be able to hear each other because Satsuki is to far up for either of them to be audible to one another.

Of course, it simply starts off with small shit like that, things that would be minor annoyances, but it would eventually escalate and start pulling shit like "super speed using up tons of calories" or "super strength but no super bone density". Inserting "realistic" consequences for powers and actions where they normally would just operate by the setting's version of "reality". How do I make it to where the party can reasonably defeat him without him/her being a pushover or overpowered?

As for weaknesses, depends on what will make a good campaign - do your players want lots of fight scenes? Perhaps they only encounter the bbeg at the very end and only fight his minions or monsters incidentally created by him.

Do they want secrets, puzzles and roleplaying? the game is about evading and hiding from the BBEG while uncovering his past / how his powers work?

Main thing to focus on is what would make a good game for someone else to play, a cool villian in a bad campaign is useless, and should probably be in a story.

I was originally thinking a little bit of column a, bit of column b. Equal amounts of action and roleplaying. Like the bbeg endangering some innocent bystanders with his fuckery and the party having the options to help them, maybe afterwards finding out they have developed a fanclub from their heroism. The problem with the bbeg being that he/she always uses a disguise when he/she fights them and they don't know who he is or what he is planning. In other words, Kill La Kill action when they finally uncover and fight him/her mixed with LA Noir/Batman style investigations to find out who he/she is and how he is going to carry out his/her plans.

Heck I've even been thinking about giving them opportunities Assassin's Creed style to find out his/her weaknesses or opportunities to help make stopping his/her plans easier. Such as looking into where his/her emergency hideout is through interrogation so you can wait for him/her there in case he/she manages to book it, or slip the news to Gamagori so he can wait there. Finding out his identity is just the bare minimum and the various ways you can make screwing him over easier is the icing on the roleplay cake.

Alright /tg/ I just got the go ahead to do some demo nights for Guild Ball at my lgs. I don't usually see generals on here for the game, but I've been having a great time with it and I think the new league rules are looking like a ton of fun.

My question for you /tg/ is when you started which guilds looked like the most fun for you? I only ask because the store owner said he'd grab a few starters so that people who are interested could grab one right then and there.

Guild Ball is a fantasy skirmish game similar to Blood Bowl, but instead of American Football, it's Soccer.

Both teams are composed of one Captain, one Mascot, and 4 other players. (six total models on each side for a full sized game)

Gameplay is quick paced with the largest mechanical difference from other wargames being alternating model activation. You activate and perform all the actions you can with a model, then your opponent does the same, you continue this process until all models have gone, then the turn is over.

This video will provide a bit of insight into what the game looks like, as well as giving an overview to some of the other mechanics.
