I just picked up the new WQ. Going to try to paint everything before playing... If I achieve that, it will be a first for me.

Is Silver Tower actually good, or is it just peoples nostalgia talking? I already have a few dungeon crawlers, but I fucking love them and always want more- just feel like there would be no point if there's way better stuff around now.

It's fun, but honestly it does get kind of old quickly because it's constant fights of different flavors, then again it depends on your group I had a lot of fun playing it with my roomies because we'd rp light with it but then when i took it to the game store we were just chucking dice at it and trying to maximize our combat potential. That being said though I'm trying to homebrew some stuff for it but i'm not creative enough to do it by myself and would like some input! If anyone is interested i can post some of my homebrew heroes for ST

Whatever looks fun/appealing! Alternatively you can shuffle them deal them out into piles, build a balanced party (tank, disabler, healer, damage dealer), light some candles and commune with the dark gods, use a flow chart, lay them out and roll for one...really anyway you like

I feel that homebrewing for ST is kind of limited because of the set to hit values and hp, but that doesn't mean that we can't have fun with it! I also wish there was a more interesting way to do traits without bloating it with subtypes

This one i decided to try to make an ogre but still keep it with in the confines of the ST rules since gaining an extra wound plus an action seemed like it would be too good

This one is super rough, I think i might just remove the Storm of Blades and straight up make them 2 separate attacks with rules that read: when you successfully wound with Weapon X make another attack against the same adversary, and when you successfully wound with Weapon Y make an attack against each adjacent adversary. The biggest problem i'm noticing is that renown abilities are pretty hard to come up with

And finally the first one I made, this one has been tested out and is really fun the only thing is that his renown ability is really strong as is, still not sure where to go with it desu

Had fun when I played it. Had a near pants sitting g moment when the giant summoner popped up and was supposed to disappear the next turn, but rolled an ability to not so we ran like he'll till the tile disappeared (the pre-set encounter on the level with the grotling waves). No idea about replay-ability after you do a full clear though. Played the sigmar priest and called him blackus dynamitus after the fiendish gaunt summoner wu. Light of sigmar coupled with the talent to boost your dice is pure joy as you turn into a holy wmd
