The good kind though, with Mr. Rogers and Bob Ross. Oh, and somebody post the /tg/ is not a place thread. The one we post when we need hope for the future of the board.
Happy birthday everyone!

This week's Monday Meeting Notes:
http://theonyxpath.com/cough-back-in-hack-the-saddle-cough-cough-again-monday-meeting-notes/
>Question
How do the spalts celebrate valentine's day?
>>51729434
Which is why I said that it was the weakest Arcanum by itself. You can definitely get up to some shit with prime as a secondary Arcanum.
>>51729410
Rip the still beating heart out of some wyrm asshole and give it to the person they fancy
why do people like WtA over WtF?
>Question:
When should a child reach adulthood not just in terms of the law and society, but in metaphysical terms as well?
>Situation:
Plot-important child NPC in a fantasy rpg is going to become an adult and trigger a plot-important magical event, thereby providing a time limit to the game's scenario.
>Issue with Loss of Virginity as Mark of Adulthood:
Allows sex with the child as a viable method to hasten the magical event, which is problematic for reasons including, but not limited to, my game featuring sex with a child.
>Issue with Rite of Passage as Mark of Adulthood:
1. Depends on the rite being the true metaphysical mark of adulthood despite rites varying by culture.
2. Rite could be hastened or delayed to change time limit
(not necessarily an insurmountable problem)
>Depends on the Setting:
Fuck you, I said "should" which implies I'm looking for opinions on what *should* be the case, not what is the case in the setting.
The setting is my personal setting that I won't bother going into a detailed description of.
>Brief Setting Description:
A rational and methodical reworking of my ignorant and inaccurate perception of Forgotten Realms and real world mythology.
>Comic in OP Image:
1. Illustrates the issue of how ephemeral the transition into adulthood is.
2. I don't know the artist or their works as I just found it on a Google search3. I don't give a flying fuck at a rolling donut if you are triggered by "Tumblr Noses"
>Possible Additional Discussion:
Creative Quest Time Limit Methods
Child NPCs
Plot-important NPCs
Plot-important Events
Timed Events that Trigger Independently of the PCsplease not child sex or statutory rape
adulthood is when you lose hope and stop trying without direct threats to your life

Right there with you, anon.

Rite of Passage has been a thing for thousands of years in every culture up until the modern day.
Use it.
Anyone ever play or run a game set in Hyboria? How'd it go?

Last time on Song of Swords:
Sentient space parrots except they're made of evil tar
Anarchists may endanger Song of Swords!
Another addition to the hallowed SoS copypasta repertoire
Chironic History Lesson
Song of Swords is a a tabletop RPG centered around realistic medieval fightan' with a ludicrous variety of weapons and fighting styles, centered around a dice pool system. It's currently in beta, and can be used for both fantasy and historical games. Kickstarter is supposed to happen really soon, they have a website made entirely out of corn!
Call of the Void: Ballad of the Laser Whales is a pulpy sci-fi tabletop RPG about fighting space-nazis and hunting giant whales with harpoons made out of the moon. Its combat system is more modern, based in the early 20th century, but can probably handle combat up to the present day.
MEGA folder containing current version of the game and all supplementary materials. At this time the latest version is v1.9.9:

Did Jimmy ever give a rundown of how the Way of Five fits into religion? Is it its own thing, worshiping the tar, or is the Way separated from theology?
The document continues to update for Sword & Scoundrel, the new name for Band of Bastards. Unfortunately it is not yet in a playable state.

>We've cut down the number of maneuvers you need to juggle by a solid third. At the time of writing, the core list has 20, down from 32. Before you panic, we actually found a way to do this that actually makes combat more dynamic while not actually losing any of the options you had before.
So they say.
They thought 32 was too large a number of maneuvers to have. They'd balk at SoS.
Star Wars GM here. We've now run two games, and both have gone swimmingly. Ballad's autism works remarkably well for Star Wars gunfights, and Void and Way of Five magic is a fine stand in for the Force, albeit skewed heavily towards Dark Side powers. I need to homebrew some more Light Side powers, and I'm probably going to make both powers and Wo5 stuff run on the same pool of points.
Other than that, everyone seems to be enjoying it. Taking autism and using it for pulpy space adventures is so far a success.
Jimmy really needs to make ship combat rules, though. I've been bullshitting ship rules, but something for actual combat would be great.
This has been on my radar for a while now. Is it actually decent as a lore overview or just another fanfic with /tg/ memes?
>>51740367
Yes
I hope you aren't interested in things that aren't the Imperium.
>>51740367
It's kind of like 1d4chan's version of 40k with memes, and has its own ongoing story anout the emperor getting things back up and running.
Greeting, Americanfags on /tg/. I'm preparing to VtM game my GM sets in 90-s Texas, and making a bunker-dwelling paranoid gun-nut Malkavian. Can someone redpil me on the basics gun carrying/owning laws in US and how much shit I can get aways with in regards of bringing guns, using guns and fortyfying my "Iluuminati-proof bunker" untill cops come busting my ass?
Ask /k/, as figuring out how to get away with building a private fortress is practically what they live for.
>>51738747
Laws are for the Kine, Cassandra.
Go nuts. Er, nuts-er.
>>51738747
look up NFA items, anything less than that can be bought with a basic background check
>One of the recurring villains is a highly malevolent but (due to physical limitations) utterly harmless enemy that constantly tries and fails to thwart the PC's plans
Is this a good way to add some flavor/comic relief to a game, or one of those ideas that sounds better on paper than in practice?
>>51737854
Probably sounds better on paper
Unless you fudge dice rolls hard, I can't see this villain surviving contact with the party.
>>51737919
Nah, you just need to make them really fast and tanky, so they can take a few hits and then run away.
I want to run a campaign that takes place exclusively in The Warp (ala 40k/Fantasy) where the players play demons of Chaos (maybe Chaos Undivided?)
What sort of things do demons spend their time doing in the warp?
Is there food in the warp and/or do demons need sustenance?
Do demons fight each other in the warp?
Do demons have jobs in the warp?
If the characters are demons of Chaos Undivided can they never become greater demons?
>>517371718
1: Yes, emotions swirling around, lost souls, other (weaker) warp entities
2: All the fucking time, the gods are far more concerned with their intrigueing and warring with one another then reality.
3: Does soldier count as a job?
4: They wont become greater daemons, because greater daemons are part of a gods followers, undivided/unaligned daemons become minor gods in their own right.
>>51737211
Right, let me iterate on the job part.
Yes jobs exist, because people assume they do.
For example: Bloodletters, who have swords.
Who makes swords? Smiths, so daemon smiths must exist, and what do smiths need? ore, so daemon miners must exist (even if how or what they mine might be utter imposibility).
Because people know, believe, that swords need smiths and smiths need mines. etc etc.
>>51737241
couldn't that 'belief' thing work against the demons though?
like... what if all the people in the imperium started assuming demons must like bureaucracy just as much as they do so now the demons have to do a bunch of paperwork and they never get to make it out of the eye of terror for holiday
What the fuck was his problem?
>>51736953
he was just one of those shitty, bargin bin primarchs like Angron, lorgar or any of the tratior primarchs for that matter
>>51736953
Migranes, epilepsy and autism.
>>51736953
Grew up in a world where people were so corrupt that only intense violence kept them in line. Broke his spirit something fierce. Could also foresee his and anyone's death which fucked him around. When he meets the primarchs for the first time he sees their deaths or apotheosis forms and loses his shit when he sees the emperors future

None, his only friends are PCs and NPCs. Pretty dull guy, really.
Sneak attack with magic rays apply to all the rays or just one of them?
>>51737355
Any spell with an attack roll that does damage can apply sneak attack.

With things going this way, who else plans on jumping ship? Are there any other games we can play?

I plan on picking up RuneWars for my rank and file fantasy cravings.
Don't think 40k will die even if they DO butcher the lore as per the shitty bait-tier rumours, I just hope 8th doesn't suck ass.
It needs to die. The Imperium has lived for far too long. The time has come to break it into smithereens.
