What's a good set of math questions I can build around stock charts? I want to create an assignment that gets kids to do a bit of technical analysis, but I'm finding it hard to fit into the curriculum. There aren't a lot of basic functions present in stock charts due to estimation, and I can't have a class just on ratios like P/E. Can any anons who have a background in econ and math help me out here?
>>8616699
Wow, seriously? You are asking us to do your job? Management material. What a shitbag.
>>8616717
Maybe you can't read. I'm asking you for ways I can relate TA to math. I've already got two assignments planned for our unit on functions, but I think they're boring and don't do anything really interdisciplinary. I could just give the kids those ones to work on, but I want to try something different.
Besides, Li Feng, you're shitposting on 4chan--it's not like you have anything else better to do with your day.

So you didn't deny it. You're asking /sci/ to do your job. How lazy can a person get?
>Besides, Li Feng, you're shitposting on 4chan--it's not like you have anything else better to do with your day.
That's true.
Yo guys.
I know that It might be super easy and I am just fucking stupid... But I never have been good with chemistry calculations, or any math related stuff...
Can somebody explain to me how the answer is "C". I have an exam on Monday, and I am panicking, and this is only one of the first calculations.
halp, I don't want to fail... ;c
goys?
Why so lazy? Check the text, lecture notes, past exams, past homework, google. Ask your friends and TA.
Does sci have have any collections like the ar/k/ and the /g/entoomen library
>>8616329
Why? Collecting pdfs don't make you smarter. And we have library. Any non-troll anon on /sci/ studies in a university.
I collect autism and concentrate it until it's so dense that it just implodes and bursts out.
>>8616347
well, I have weirder hobbies myself
you telling me this is the best the founder of google could do
>>8616035
Google doesn't have a great track record in terms of hardware. I think glass was just before its time.
I am sure we will see a better iteration in the future.
>>8616035
By the way, they are called Alphabet now.
>>8616035
I'm confused, is that a wine glass of DHMO and some human teeth? ..or popcorn?
How does /sci/ feel about use of nootropics?
What are the best?
>>8616034
Fuck off druggie.
Choline. Can vouch for it myself.
>>8616034
Tried sunifiram for several months, didnt do shit for my memory. Caffeine is the best nootropic by far.
Thoughts on Herpetology?
its cool
>>8615678
>herp!
>>8615678
I just watched Lemony Snicket, and that made me really interested in herpetology.

99% of people will fail to understand it and a lot of those will angrily reject the concepts on the principle that anything they can't understand must be bullshit.
also the show rocks.
what does "size of infinity" even mean
>>8615606
>t. brainlet
I guess I'm a really, really slow poke, but there is a "new" PBS Studios channel all about math 'n shit. It's called Infinite Series.
Just sharing. If you guys have any other good autistic channels to share I'd like to check them out too.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCs4aHmggTfFrpkPcWSaBN9g
Is this what qualifies as marketing these days? Posting on /sci/.
> Infinite Series
>>8615503
it's going to turn into a finite series wen pbs funding gets cut.
Should NASA get more funding?
Yes. And Trump wants to cut it.
All space endeavours should be internationally verboten and be punished via gassing the whole country
prove me wrong
>>8615263
But Trump loves NASA, though. He wants NASA to be about space exploration again.
What would it take to simulate the growth of a baby?
Be more specific.
>>8615197
Assuming we had the compute power, what prerequisite knowledge would we require to simulate the interactions between cells from sperm + egg all the way to fully developed fetus?
>>8615221
The point of my question was that in fetal development you can give steroids to speed up the development of some systems, i.e. lungs.
In embryonic development, let's take differentiation out of the way because it becomes complicated as fuck, you are confined to how fast your cells can double their organelles. What you can do is speed up the going through the three 'check-points', or mess around with cyclin concentration. Add the usual growth factors like vegf, fgf, bmp etc and it 'might' work.
How do fans make air?
>>8615047
They don't.
The angled blades creates a pressure differential that causes air to be drawn to the region. Air on the blades experience higher pressure and tends to push the air in a direction perpendicular to the blade
>>8615047
the same way a vacuum cleaner removes it, but upside down
>>8615047
They steal it.
What's the cheapest way to get a container for liquid nitrogen
break into next university
You can get a shitty foam transport container for cheap, but if you want one of those fancy storage ones? Be prepared to pay out the ass.
>>8615051
will they even sell you nitrogen if you go with a foam container?
why the do we care about gravitational waves?
we can see black holes slightly better now? whoop dee fucking doo, why haven't we decoded the human genome yet?
>>8614918
To confirm GR.
>>8614918
Understanding GR
Actually observing black holes directly
Insights into cosmology and the evolution and fate of our universe
It's cool shit OP
>>8614918
>why haven't we decoded the human genome yet?
clearly biologists are all incompetent
>A-anon would you tell me some interesting scientific facts before I sleep ?

Can type 2 diabetes be considered a 'voluntary' disease?
>>8614387
There are a lot of people that do not fit the stereotype in your picture that have developed diabetes as well.
No, OP, diabetes is not 'voluntary'.
Can alcoholism be considered a 'voluntary' disease?
>>8614398
Yes, absolutely. People choose to start drinking.
