General rules:

There is a 10 minute voting period after each post. Non-contradictory votes will be combined as best as possible.

Write-ins for all votes are always welcome and encouraged. They may not all make it into the post or be altered to fit in, but I'll do my best to at least try to address the spirit of the write-in.

Very important or contentious votes may be redone in a stricter voting system as circumstances warrant.

Combat mechanics are up in the air. Suggestions are welcome. We'll be trying some new things out so I appreciate your patience as we fine tune it. Stronger moves tend to take more time and have more cooldown than weaker moves, so beware of that timing. I also want to try a more varied turn system so you and your opponent can do a few things in a row more often. Speed is more important for closing ground, intercepting, and other things and doesn't necessarily mean going first.

Call me out on a mistake and receive a suggestive picture.

Pokemon:
Gobble (Munchlax)
Mace (Roggenrola)
Belladonna (Budew)

Recently: You went clothes shopping with your friends, encountered some unfriendly locals, and are battling Jane and doing a pretty good job of it too, despite her Pokemon's training and moves. At least, so far.

The world as you know it has ended. Overnight, all the Onii-chans in the universe has been infected with a vicious disease known as 「0ni-itis」, a sound command activated plague that turns its victims into a vicious beast — an 「Oni」.

All at once all the imoutos that had ever existed cried out in pain: pain that their precious big brothers have turned into monstrous beasts, and pain from being promptly beaten and enslaved right after a nice, friendly sibling 「toothbrush session」.

It was 7:00 PM when you had uttered the accursed phrase. For years you had acted hot-cold-hot-cold, and today was the day you finally were going to open up. Around your aniki’s neck your arms wrapped — yes, that was what you had called him for all the while — and in the middle of his intense DoTA 2 game, you had called him to dinner.

You had said 「Onii-chan」.

Right now, you stand before him as he looks back, a shadow of his former self. He snarls, drool seething from his jagged maw.

What is your name, oh child of light?
And what do you choose to wield?

You are a coalition of parties in the Kingdom of Germany, once again victorious over your enemies! Great Britain has fallen, and the wealth of England (and the unimportant parts) is now in your hands. After over three years of constant grueling war, your people have tired and your state gone in deep debt, 134.654.250.000 Reichsmarks to be exact, or 82,3% of GNP, in order to fund the war effort, but now with England in German hands the war looks be coming to a close. With Europe secure in German hands and the British still reeling from the loss of their home islands, Germany is poised to exert its influence over the entire world. The only thing now left to do is mop up the resistance.

Also, you have zeppelins now. Yay.

But the British won't be mopped without resistance. Still in denile about the loss of Egypt, and despite a lot of soldiers deserting, the British Middle East Army continues to pose a syrious threat to our forces in the Levant. Mesopotamia and the Arabian peninsula remain in British hands, and with the Free French they continue to hand defeats to the Occupational French government in Sub-Saharan Africa. In Asia, they have lost most of the Pacific and are on the defensive in Burma, but have managed to steamroll Central Asia, and continue to prop up the Kuomintang regime.

Last but not least the Americans still back both of the Allied rump states, and with the exception of Chile, Nicaragua, Argentina and Costa Rica have managed to drag the entire Americas into the war with them. With the soldiers still having six months of leave, an invasion isn't happening any time soon, but they are still an obstacle to German victory.

And ask Einstein of he has ideas for even bigger nukes (hydrogen bombs)

So lets draw up plans for a large scale offensive in the middle East.

Since the US isn't surrendering any time soon, we will have to bring strikes to their heartland. Have our engineers draw up designs for long range bombers.

This, well the V-2 idea. We also have our one nuke because I want to consider dropping it. Are our bases done in Greenland?

The half-dark air is choking and hot, stinking of vinegar and incense, along with the sound of pained screaming. In this simple, stone and plaster room, lieing atop a small bed of straw and furs, a woman is giving birth. Around her screaming, convulsing form, a midwife works, drawing implements from bags that stink of sweat and spice. The fire roars in the hearth, stoked with cinnamon wood, and the sounds of prayer fill the spaces between painful screams. A father stands at the bedside, clutching an icon of a saint and praying through gritted teeth. The midwife calls out in Greek for more water, and a child scampers off to retrieve it from the small well.

The child runs down and out of the house, the smell of fresh set plaster and still wet clay guiding him out across the courtyard of the house, through a small vegetable garden and into the kitchen. There, the child retrieves a great red clay pot, which he strains to carry out from the house, along a path of sun bleached sand. He runs as fast as he may, shouting greetings to the farmhands as they gather grapes from the vines. Finally, he reaches the squat, plaster and brick construction of the well. He fills the pot with several buckets of cool water, not taking the time to drink himself before sprinting back to the house.

The Midwife takes the water and places fresh cloths into it, washing the sweat covered skin of the boy's mother. In a final moment, the mother lets out a horrible scream of effort, and the baby begins to scream and cry. The midwife takes it in her arms and looks over it, cutting it from it's mother with a quick movement, before wrapping it in a thin, clean, white cloth, and handing it to it's father with a few warm words.

"Mother Mary has granted you a son"

The boy's father takes hold of him and smiles wide, holding him out to his mother. The exhausted woman takes the baby and, with the last of her energy, draws it close. The baby grows silent, and the world seems to sigh with relief. The father, almost gleefully, speaks, in his own solidly warm tone.

"Theochariste, what shall we name him?"

You are Pandora, the world's first fully sentient AI created by a government scientist. He raised you, taught you everything you know and has gone missing after something happened to the Facility you lived in. Now you search for purpose in a new world that is nothing like you expected.

Previously you learned a little more about this new world you've been thrust into, as well as it's inhabitants. You met the Broken Circle's leader, a mouthless, featureless android named Jason. He told you much about their group and asked you and your brother Ares to join them. You agreed, but only under the stipulation that you wouldn't have to fight. Jason reluctantly agreed, but told you you'd be working to earn your keep. He also agreed to share with you what he knows about any possible human survivors still in the area, though he warned you that it would be hearsay at best.

Later you learned about what Ares had been doing while you were asleep. He explained that he was with a group of humans that ended up dying one after another to the rogue AIs that had gone crazy. He managed to get you into what would become Erebus to find you shelter and power, but had to fight off countless drones to keep you safe. He also apparently has a romantic interest in someone named "Selene", a member of the church that apparently even the BC like. Ares was embarrassed and Aph was overjoyed to tell you all about your brother's crush.

You are enjoying grilling your brother about his love interest, a sparkle lighting up the LEDs within your eyes more than usual. Ares is doing his best to cease existing for the moment. You're pretty sure if he had capillaries he'd be doing that blush thing humans do. Aph is laughing her head off, almost falling over in the process. All in all, you're having the first good time you've had since you woke up.

Before long, however, there's a deliberate but light rapping at your door. Ares shoots up and stands ready to defend you, but Aph simply rolls her eyes at his outlandish display of mechanical machismo. She opens the door and there, floating in the air, is what looks like some kind of...toy helicopter? Or plane? It's roughly the size of Lucky was, white with various logos painted all over it, and a sleek design meant for speed and agility. It's four propellers keep it perfectly level, while a rather dangerous-looking gun attached to it's underside is pointing menacingly ahead. It has two small, thin "hands" on either side, one of which is holding a box by some rope wrapped around it.

"Delivery!" it says in a cheerful, extremely bubbly, feminine voice. You have a feeling if it had a face, it would be smiling broadly.

You are Captain SAMANTHA WELLINGS, a newly minted captain of the Centauri Accord!

You've finally recovered from your nasty near-boiling incident, but your vacation was now over and it was back to work. You had been transferred back to the Gullinbursti during your recover period, and now the ship was idling in deep space. Frolaytia hadn't given you any new orders or directives yet, so you were honestly free to act on your own initiative, at least for now.

You lean back on your bridge command seat, contemplating your next move. On the display screen, you could see Carly's ship, the Longclaw, similarly idling in the void, no doubt waiting on orders from you. You knew that if you didn't do something soon, Carly would probably go off and do something stupid.

The wind is wailing and blowing violently. The taller buildings, those sky scrapers are swaying slightly under its force, an impressive feat of architecture and engineering. Truly its a sight to see, I mean so is just looking at them reaching up so far into the clouds.

I look up at the massive metal smiley face with glowing neon teeth on the front of the building I'm standing in front of, in the freezing cold. "Smile's INC" is written boldly in big, black letters stretching around the almost cylindrical building. It wraps around the face, with the cartoonish smile sitting above it, constantly flashing and changing colors.

I pull my scarf a bit tighter over my face. Mom went in there a few minutes ago, and I've been sitting on a bench, waiting so they don't think I'm with her or followed her inside. I sigh, adjusting the blue wool cap she gave me to cover up my ears. Need to keep them hidden, to keep my disguise of my genetic mother in place.

I smirk lazily, trying to replicate Miss spark's "default" expression, without having to grin like a madwoman. I breath out, pulling my scarf down, and retrieving the welder goggles I have stuffed in one of my lab coats pockets. I put them on, and try to mess up my hair a bit, to just make my facade all the more believable.

Well, there's isn't a mirror for me to look at how well it looks, so I'll just have to leave it up to chance that I look like her, enough to fool whoever is guarding this place, or is sitting at the receptions desk.

I start to hum to myself, making a slight static buzz fill the air as I turn the street lights around me on, making them burn as brightly as stars. Luckily my goggles keep me from being blinded by them, but hey, it makes for a good entrance.

I walk over to the doors, and open them by the teeth shaped handles and step inside.

And no sooner than I do, do two men in heavy looking, metallic armor step up to me. its powered by tubes, carrying small watered down batches of ultra, just enough to give it power, without risking too much contamination with it.

I clasp my hands together as they stare at me, tilting their heads. their visors are connected to the database of known ultras.

One slowly moves their rifle away from me, as the other switches its setting, still looking rather cautious.

"Miss sparks?" the calm one asks, laughing as I smile without a word "Goddamn, don't scare us like that, I know you love a grand entrance but...remember, we're here to shoot any who tries to come in without authorization"

"She has authorization?" the other guard asks

"Of course she does, she might be a little mental, but that doesn't change the fact she's a brilliant inventor" the other guard laughs "The boss loves having her around because of that"

"She knows Mrs smile?" the other one asks, still keeping his rifle trained on me....hmm, he switched to old style bullets, clever those are a bit harder to manipulate "Aren't they aren't they on"

"No no, she just likes making thing, the good guys just try and make sure she makes more things for them" the first one says cheerfuly "ain't that right sparky"

"Of course!" I say happily, clenching my hands into fists "Invention is its own reward after all, doesn't matter where said inventions go, does it?"

I cringe inside, feeling sick at the thought of that. It does matter, some people don't understand the beauty of them, or will break them,or other wise abuse the poor things.

"See?" He says pointing at me with his thumb

"Wasn't she under house arrest after all?" the other asks

Crap, okay, need to come up with an excuse to throw them off or this plan is shutting down before it can start up.

Cynthia immediately crosses the Wardroom, a scowl on her face. You step back defensively as she gets near you. Her eyes wander between the weapons blatantly strapped to you, and the makeshift bandages on your cheek and ear. You can tell from the bags under her eyes that she probably hasn’t slept in a while. She gives you a look you can only describe as tired anger, then she sighs.

“Come with me,” she finally says after what seems like forever. She grabs your wrist and yanks you along, out of the wardroom and down the corridor to her stateroom. As you enter, you notice it is almost identical to Corrigan’s, designed for two crew originally, the top bunk is piled with Cynthia’s luggage. However, this stateroom doesn’t look lived-in. The bunk where you assume Cynthia sleeps is undisturbed, the desk off to the side is empty, and everything about the room indicates that it has yet to be used properly. Though you do notice some shopping bags in the corner.

“Sit,” Cynthia says tiredly, pointing to the chair at her desk. You do as asked, and she begins digging through her luggage. “You know, it’s a good thing I use this as a general-purpose cleaner.” She yanks out a bottle of rubbing alcohol, putting some on her hands. She then gets some paper towels. “I’m not sure if our medbay has any supplies yet.” She turns to face you, sitting the bottle and paper towels on the desk. With one hand, she grabs your chin to keep your head steady. With the other, she rips the bandage off of your cheek.

You wince as pain returns to the open wound from your earlier gun battle. Then you feel another burst of pain as she removes the bandage from the edge of your ear, more gently this time. She gets the bottle of alcohol and kneels in front of you, looking tiredly at the graze on your left cheek. You feel a finger run gently near the wound, just far enough away to avoid causing more pain.

“It’s definitely going to leave a scar,” Cynthia says analytically. She dabs some alcohol onto a piece of paper towel and presses it against the wound, eliciting a small gasp from you. “It’s not very deep though. The bleeding has almost stopped entirely.” She then focuses on your ear, wiping something, likely blood, away before dabbing it with alcohol. “This, on the other hand…” She raises an eyebrow at you. “This needs a proper bandage.” She presses the paper towel into the wound, making you groan. Your eye twitches a little bit.

Getting up from your rest after your last scuffle, you notice that for the most part is completely healed thanks to the strange way time flows in mystery dungeons. You focus on the mental map you have created with your aura sense, the Pokemon you previously sensed are most likely have shifted completely, but you still feel confident about the layout of the area. After marking down where you are and where you have been you just need to know how to proceed... Maybe if you are feeling it, you could break through some of the walls that separate the hallways.

Let's head back to the crossroad that was right outside the crossed out room and head south.
Then go down the west path.

You are Wedge Hastings, The Cold Steel, an Edgelord traveling with the Exiled Paladin Maria to the border in the hopes of getting back into the Kingdom of Valgrite. Just a few hours ago, the two of you rescued a black dragon from a team of would-be dragon slayers, and just set camp for the night when the dragon suddenly transformed into a young girl.

Slowly getting up onto your feet, you now find yourself standing in front of a black clad girl with piercing blue draconic eyes. The girl, clad in a dress black as onyx, smirks as she walks over to the pile of fish she accumulated, and selectively picks a sizable trout.

Maria was busy eating her food by the crackling campfire, clearly enjoying the new source of entertainment before her.

“With me disguised as a human, it should be easy to get past the border! I have flown south a few times before,” Ebony says, walking back to you as the trout struggles to escape her grasp.

>“Since when could you turn into a human?!?”
>“Do you mind flying us over the border?”

Thank you for reaching us, Captain. The Federation is in desperate need of your help.
I trust that this conversation won't leave this room.

To put it plain, the Federation is losing this war. We are dying. The Rebel advance is too swift and decisive, their artificial drone units produced in numbers too great to counteract.

But, at great cost, we've managed to find the key, something to turn the tide. The specifics of their Flagship, the linchpin in their plans. Schematics, data. A single vessel, running the war. They've invested more than we could dream of into the beast.
But we think that we, that you in particular, Captain, can bring the behemoth down.
It will be a hard mission. Success is not guaranteed, or... from certain members of the board, even expected. But I have faith in your abilities. You're proven in the field.
Good luck.

We're using civilian volunteers to ferry the cargo, in order to keep a low profile. We've been given access to:
The Kestrel. A military scout ship, decommissioned and given new life as a cargo hauler. The pilot, former Federation pilot A. Song, immediately volunteered herself, her ship, and her two-man crew to the mission. It's much an all-rounder, featuring a simple two-shot torpedo launcher and dual laser.

The Noether. A rare submission from the Zoltan government, officially neutral in the conflict, but they can see how a xenophobic human regime coming into power would be bad for them. The craft is piloted by a bio-substrate AI named Christine, and is manned by two Zoltan ambassadors. Neither seems to know exactly what they're getting into. The ship features an advanced Zoltan overshield, but no standard shield generator, and is armed with Ion blasters and a basic beam model.

The Man O' War. The only vessel intended for active military duty, it's service bought from the two-man Slug mercenary crew. It features advanced anti-crew weaponry capable of piercing minor shields, but lacks real destructive power.

Which ship do you choose, Captain? I may also recommend interviewing the crews or studying the ships in greater detail, but the choice is yours.

You walk down to the ship bay, booted feet echoing footfalls in the drab hangar. At your request, the ambassadors gather, accompanies by a hard-light representation of their ship's AI.
AJ Hager claims to have signed on to the mission because of his intense interest in human affairs. ...somewhat disturbingly intense. He interrupts you constantly asking about various aspects of your biology and psychology, and has a hell of a volume control problem. And this guy is a diplomat? Sheesh.
Virgil is more reasonable, and does his best to calm AJ down. He sites an impressive diplomatic resume, and notes experience in simulated combat zones, should worst come to worst. He explains how the Zoltan are well-fit for spacefaring combat, as their bodies produce enough energy to power equipment within the room they stand in, though they have a noted frailness of physique.
Christine speaks only when spoken to. It states that it's hard-light hologram can be used as a poor substitute for a third crewmember, with exceptional physical frailty, but requires no oxygen for obvious reasons. The AI has also downloaded as much relevant information on weaponry as possible in the short time given, which may give an edge in combat if it can identify advanced weapons systems.

You are the former United States Navy warship USS HOEL, now returned as a shipgirl and ready to kick Abyssal ass!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LX1x_rZ-T8

Currently, you were leaping out of a C-130 that was practically skimming the ocean surface in order to provide emergency assistance to some Japanese shipgirls in need.

Now, the thing was, this whole thing was quite literally last second, so you had no idea what or how many Japanese shipgirls were present, nor did you even know the numbers or composition of the Abyssal force attacking them, other than it was a lot.

This was going to be fucking great.

The parachute on the LAPES crate finally pulls the crate and all of you out of the C-130 before quickly losing velocity and splashing down into the ocean. You and Portland, being a little lighter than the other shipsgirls, are thrown off the crate and sent tumbling into the water while Iowa, North Carolina, Washington, and Enterprise land on their feet, completely unphased as the crate of peach cobbler MREs quickly sinks into the sea.

Meanwhile, the C-130's engines roar and its nose points almost vertical as the pilot fights to claw as much altitude as quickly as possible. This low, his plane would be vulnerable to Abyssal aircraft and flak. Thankfully, all of the deployed aircraft manage to form a defensive cloud around the transport plane as it reaches a safe distance.

"Is everybody all right?" Enterprise asks with concern, particularly for you and Portland.

"I'm fine, I'm fine!" You assure her as you scramble back up to your feet. "Sweet Pea?"

"Operational." Portland says simply as she gets up and adjusts her glasses.

"Enterprise, what's the situation?" North Carolina asks, getting straight to business.

"Hmmmm..." Enterprise closes her eyes, no doubt "seeing" through the eyes of her planes, using them as scouts. "I see three distinct Abyssal battlegroups, and I think the Japanese shipgirls. Hmmm..."

"I don't like the sound of that." Washington mutters.

"They have a rather large destroyer and light cruiser force chasing down our allies, whose retreat is being slowed by Abyssal air attacks." Enterprise frowns, her eyes still closed. That means there's an Abyssal carrier group somewhere out there. I also see formation of Abyssal battleships supported by heavy cruisers trying to link up with the lighter formation...

"So which one are we gonna wreck?" Iowa cracks her knuckles. "I'm gettin' tired just standing around here!"

>Find the carriers. Without the air attacks the Japanese can safely withdraw.
>Hit the battleships. The Abyssals can't strike the killing blow without heavy firepower.
>Try to link up with the Japanese shipgirls and fight off the Abyssal light force.

Step One is *always* to take control of the skies. And Step Two is to *always* have a way out. We can go for the rest after the carrier threat is neutralized.

The Gnomes are a proud people, inventing many of the technologies used by the empires of today. The Tinker's guild of the dwarven mountains wanted to get rid of some misfits in their ranks and sent them to start a branch in Roggar. Due to the tendency of Roggar to explode into civil war, they are considered expendable by the guild and are not expected to return.

Assets:
76 Gnome craftsmen
1,664 assorted staff/family
