Welcome back! You are elves of several varieties of color living harmoniously in a communist society on a large floating island.
In the last thread you have begun to make good on your promise to help the human captain Roderick rid the nameless island below of it's demon infestation. You have taken most of your able bodied population and mounted your giant falcons and ridden to war for the first time.

In a rush of wings and fury your people fly towards the demon occupied beach. As you draw swiftly closer the men let their jaws hang slack and issue a sound that neither human nor elven throats should be capable of producing. As the piercing ululation echoes across the beach your people open fire with their bows.
Each shot is precise, even those among you who are not hunters are familiar enough with the practice to easily fire at one or even two of the men on the beach in your first pass.
Every arrow finds its way cleanly into an eye socket or other vital spot. But contrary to what you expect the men do not drop dead, and their cry only increases in intensity.
As your first flight group circles around for another pass you clearly see several of your people get jerked from their falcons by some invisible force! Unseen claws tear at flesh and cloth alike as the hapless elves hang in midair while their MegaFalcons screech and hover around them frantically clawing and biting at thin air.
The second flight group has orders to swoop down and grab the undying men so they can be dashed to pieces from a great height, but you aren't sure if they will make it in time.
A quick glance shows you that ten of your people are so caught and you have a decision to make.

"I used to know a witch. Enna. There's another sunken witch, the one that's inside a
big ship at the bottom of the ocean. But I'm sure that's the one you are talking about."
Still sitting around the low glass table, now teeming with goodies like coffee croissants,
Vaal still sits next to Trash as she stops for a sip of coffee.
Who empties the whole thing at once. "Well, she had more of a relationship with Snacks
and Horny anyway. She ruled this old domain, with all the remnant of the Templar genocide...
you could really find any kind of folks in there. Anyway, she vanished with the wind." Trash
shrugs. "Horny thinks she's still down there in her domain, but it's not where it used to be."
She pauses. "Why do you ask me this, anyway?"
"Oh, I'm just curious." You say, cheerfully. "It's something I heard Ado say, I could't get it out
of my mind."
"Oh, there's also Maki, don't forget Maki." It's Vaal, her hand resting over Trash's knee. "A
very grumpy woman with height issues." She turns to Trash. "I recall her being your
neighbor."
"Ex-witch apostle. The witch was "Doodles"; Maki doesn't count." Trash says, almost
carefully. "One big black motherfucker. Witches pulled the craziest shit. They are
always a weird sight, but there definitively used to be more of them. It's been years since
I've last seen on-"
A blunt, squishy, yet oddly powerful sound cuts the air. You glance at the kitchen's door;
the hornmother is standing in front of the open fridge, staring downwards. Between the small
gap her black robe allows between her legs there's a dish facing downwards... and
tiramisu french toasts scattered all around her clawed feet.
She turns at you, blankly. Slowly but surely, her eyes start to wet.
(Cont!)
>>749877
Wait, we are already starting another thread? Also, Doodles is canon now. And a witch. Nothing can save us from this grim dark future.
You know what time it is!
>PATPATPATPATPATPATPATPAT
>>749877
A few minutes from then, the toasts are the main dish on the table. Vaal took it upon
herself to clean the mess in the kitchen, she goes back and forth with a mop while
humming to herself. As you easily notice, the hornmother can't stop glancing at her. You
take the oportunity to sit next to her, the sudden movement getting her face blank. You
pat between her horns, gently.
"Everything is ok." She turns at you, much like a pointer goes around inside an old clock.
"She didn't really mean that. Vaal was just being scary to send the mean nohorn home."
You "hmm" to yourself. "Kind of like an apocalypse-horn go home dance."
The hornmother is still as blank as a white blanket. No words, no "yay, yay", no dancing.
"Hey." The hornmother jumps a bit under your arm, then glances at Trash, whose elbow is
resting over her leg. "So what's the matter with you? Got exiled or something?"
She nods. You notice her axe still resting at the corner.
"For what?" Trash goes on, frowning. "How the hell does a hornmother end up alone anyway?
Where are your haremhorns?"
"Try." the hornmother says, almost as a complain, as looks down.
You grab one of her hands. "Try?"
""That's Horny's catchphrase." says Trash, now supporting her chin with both hands.
""Try". All of them have one of those. Captain's is "Weakness isn't cute", that's why she's a
murder machine. Then White's is "Black and White". It had something to do with contrast, I
dunno. And Broken's was "Kindness comes from logic", but I think you already knew that
one." Trash scatches her head. "I don't know what small horny here is trying th say, though.
Where are we gonna drop her, by the way?"
>>749978
Didn't Preah's Headband ALSO read "T R Y"?
(But wasn't it Pedro who got her a new headband? Who stole whom's catchphrase?)Just as a little side note, I'll try going with my trip. Hopefully everything works.

Mustang's sentiments are not so different from those you heard from Hakuro just a couple of short weeks earlier. That man is now dead. He had the support of a large number of troops, and all on his home turf over in New Optain. You can't imagine that things would go any better for Mustang, especially when you take into account his lack of followers and location right here in Central.
"Now, I'm not stupid." the Lieutenant Colonel continues. "I'm not going to try and make any play now. For all I know, the situation may still be salvageable. There's too much we don't know. So at this point, I only care about finding out the truth. What's really going on in this country behind the scenes. And only then, if I determine that there is no other option than to remove Bradley from his seat, will I attempt to take him down. The reason I'm telling you now, is because I was hoping that you would all be willing to play a part in this. I realize that while I am your commanding officer, I can't call you my soldiers. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I understand. As alchemists, our allegiance lies to knowledge first and foremost. Which is why I decided to reach out to you. Surely you also want to know what's really going on here in Amestris. It's simply not in us to let the truth pass us by. I don't need your loyalty now. I just want to know that you'll try to keep uncovering the truth, and that when you do, you'll use that knowledge to decide what's really best for this country. Whether that means working with me or otherwise."
After Mustang finishes, the room is totally silent. You can tell that Ed and Al are still debating in their heads about whether or not they still want to keep a lid on absolutely everything. Though you expect that they'll stick with it just out of stubbornness at this point.
Leah looks quite nervous. She's always been the type to try and avoid trouble wherever she could, and the prospect of opposing the nation's government itself seems to be unsettling her.

Welcome back, everyone, to the sixty-fourth installment of Mecha Space Pirate Quest. I'm Wong, your host, and you are...well, you're going to be a few people over the course of this thread, but right now you're Heinrich "Caesar" Merrow, an Ensign in the UJCIDF and pilot of the S-Swordfish, also known as the Swordfish Mk. II.

Oh boy, time to watch Jesus fuck everything up alongside his girlfriend.
Now, while we begin, you actually have a choice to make. It seemed to be virtually unanimous that you, as Caesar, are choosing love over duty. In light of that, I won't do what I originally said I'd do, and ask it again here. It's not needed.
Instead, I have a different question for you. Is Caesar the sort of person who would accept a bad tactical position in exchange for the moral highground of not striking first, or someone who would ensure optimal position for a strike even if it involved taking them by surprise?
This is a very important decision, but there's a lot of intro today, meaning you'll have a lot of time to make it.
AWAKEN MY KESTRELS!
Location: Universe XXII : sector XVII : Aythenia IV:XII : Soheelee desert : (30.123,53.434,-80.654)
Universal Time: 139:60
Planetary Time: 16:40
Planetary Description: Desert planet, very dry, very hot, very little liquid water, large land masses
Developed Species: Aythenian, humanoid reptile race (non-sentient) [OUTDATED]

Ruin possibility: guaranteed :: Ancient Athenian :: Ancient Athenian Artifacts (RARE)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission objectives:
-conduct reconnaissance to ensure that the modern Aythenian’s are not anywhere close to the ancient’s level of technological advancement
-update the planetary archives in order to provide other archaeologists with relevant information on planet about today
-establish dominance over modern Aythenian’s in order to keep their political ties (optional)
-sweep over the Ancient Athenian ruins in order recover any unrecorded artifacts or technologies (keep what you can find granted)
Mission details :: presented by overseer Major Judaria Vincent Smith
Initiate,
This is your first mission on the field, so i’m not going to ask you to do anything that i don’t think you can do, you need to check on the Aythenian’s and make sure that they are not above the predicted development above bronze age, keep your distance, as, last we checked, Aythenians don’t take kindly to other species. This might have changed with the time they have had to develop, i’ll leave the jurisdiction of approaching them up to you while there. If you do, convince, or force them to stay part of the IUAOA, if they are ahead of bronze age, or refuse to comply with our offer of political alliance, we’ll wipe the planet and start them over again. The ruins in Aythenia are very rich with ancient artifacts, last we checked, the ancients were capable of short range teleportation with the artifacts that they had, if you find technology in the ruins, keep it for personal use / reverse engineering. Try not to die, and good luck.
Major Smith
Mission log:
Upon landing, I prepare by grabbing my necessary field gear,
-Emergency heal packs
-Rations
-Canteen with water
-Hard light generator
-IUAOA standard element pistol
-coordinate binoculars
Initial observations show that i am near an entrance to an Aythenian ruin, as expected due to my intentional choice of landing here, about (+2.654,+5.990,-7.898) away is a Aythenian city.

I decided to enter the Aythenian ruins, i’m a little unsettled by all of the statues, i feel like their looking at me.
Environment details : the entrance is sealed with what appears to be and interlocking stone door. According to scans, it’s 5 feet thick. the ruins are made of a hardened sandstone, and the main entrance is arranged in a semicircle with the outer ends of the circle facing outwards from the entrance, the door is in the center of the arch of the arch of the semicircle. Arranged evenly on each side of the entrance there is an arrangement of statues and pillars, the statues are all armed with giant stone tools and weapons, with each statue standing at ~30 feet high. There are a few points of interest, one being near the entrance, one being near the 2nd statue to the right of the entrance, and one implanted in the forehead of the 2nd statue to the left of the main entrance. Investigation required. Rudimentary map sketch given.

You make sure all your things are packed, Sheik waiting for you outside your house. So, the Spirit Temple, down in Gerudo Desert. There’s a lot you’ll have to focus on when you get there, beyond the Temple itself. The Gerudo may be receptive to you thanks to Aveli’s efforts, but it wouldn’t be wise to let your guard down there in any case. Ah, and then there’s Horon, back with the Gerudo. Might be wise to make sure he’s aware of your change in plans.
Adding to this, you could go shopping before you leave town, you’ve got quite a lot of cash on you, even if you have been saving up for that Hookshot. It shouldn’t be too much trouble to get the rest of it if you work for it, but you’re fairly close now...

A. Sheik, I’m heading in to town to gather some supplies and equipment.
Time to go shopping: we have two empty bottles so at least one Red or Blue potion will help.

“Hmm. Now where to begin…?” the old wizard muses to himself, the ancient wood creaking beneath his ancient bones as he leans forward in his seat. “I suppose the beginning wouldn’t be a bad place to start. After all, it’s hard to understand what familiars, spells, runes, and the like all really are without first understanding what magic is in principle.
“You see, children, magic is something between a force and a substance, one that permeates all things. It’s in the air we breathe, the earth beneath our feet, and everything above and below. That includes plants and animals and especially we thinking creatures.
“However, for most living creatures, the existence of magic is somewhat of an enigma, something they cannot see, smell, feel, or in general be aware of until something else has transformed the raw magic into an observable form, and that is where we mages come in. As we are aware of magic, magic too is aware of us. Its raw power gathers inside of us in much greater quantities than others, and our awareness then allows us to shape that personal magic with our will to do many amazing and wonderful things… and some not so wonderful.
“Of course, bending reality is not such an easy task. It is, instead, a matter of intense concentration that shapes the magic inside of the caster and allows them to change the world with it, and of course there are limits to both of these things: the will and the raw amount of mana available to them. That is why for great tasks, mages often must work together and combine their power as well as their wills, drawing magic from themselves and the world around them to unleash more than any one should be capable of.
>>747720
“Naturally, these sorts of mergers and grand rituals can prove very taxing, and for that reason, they are far from the norm. It is like getting many artists to paint the same painting with only a very basic idea of what it should look like. And trust me, there are few things more infuriatingly independent than wizards and their ideas. However, fortunately for many, there is a work-around to that in the form of familiars.
“A familiar is essentially a creature of some form or another with whom a mage chooses to share a part of themselves and vice versa, opening their awareness to the world of magic and a channel through which magic can be borrowed and returned. Of course, not all creatures are equally gifted in the ways of magic.
“One would hardly expect a pigeon to have as much magic as a dragon, nor expect it to have so tenacious of a will. Of course, in that, you have your double-edged sword. A beast strong in magic often has the will to match: desires, hopes, dreams, and complex ideas all its own. And if those aren’t in sync with those of the caster, it’s exactly as I said before: it’s like having two painters share one brush and not much will get done.
“To be absolutely clear, no mage need have a familiar at all. Many do not and they get along just fine. For many others, however, it is simply pleasant to have a partner that can aid you in your struggles, someone with whom you share an unparalleled connection and understanding.
“Now, do you have any questions?”
The harpy, nervously scratches her head with one wing and looks to Cici, the little gorgon’s head cocked curiously as she tries to soak all of what she’s just heard in.
[“Grampa said to wait to ask question until the end. I’ll remember the ones from before, but did you have anymore? Also, help.”]

Your heart leaps as you hear the telltale thud of a heavy package through the mailslot, and dart out of your room in case your sister (or worse yet, your brother) decides to check the mail for once. You get there well ahead of either and snatch it up, doing your best to hide it under a large manila envelope from your school’s Financial Aid department. You quickly duck back into your room, the cool, humid air of the summer morning washing over you from the open window. Beyond the screen, it offers a view of your back garden and the dark pine wood beyond it. You toss the package onto your bed and jump up next to it, the paper-wrapped object seeming to return your eager gaze from where it lies.
You’ve been waiting for weeks for it to arrive, shipped all the way from eastern Europe to the ‘burbs of Olim, Maine. It was expensive, sure, but the guy you’d bought it off of had assured you it would work and you’d felt a strange sense of trust towards him, especially considering you didn’t even know his real name. With shaking hands you unwrap the packaging, tearing off coarse brown paper to reveal a thick leather-bound tome with neither title nor author inscribed on its surface. Opening it, you hear the aging spine crackle, and finally verify that this is, in fact, what you paid for. The title is there on the first page, written in a beautiful flowing script that looks as though it had been written with a quill pen, the edges bleeding ever so slightly. Barnaby Sikes’ Grimoire and Student’s Guide to the Necromantic Arts.
Turning the page, you see a section appropriately titled “Introduction”. It reads--
Necromancy is a most noble art, and one most worth the time of he who fancies himself a worker of dark magicks. It is the practice of raising the essences, in various divers forms, of those who have moved on and manipulating their energies. Their true souls can never be recovered, but the illusion of such is possible for a true master, or even a dedicated novice…
He goes on for several pages discussing the philosophy and history of this "most noble art" and actually includes theological arguments for it, suggesting that Jesus Christ may have been the first necromancer. Interesting enough, but not really what you're looking for. So you skim through until you hit another titled page. "First Summons."
Now that's promising.
The first step along the path of Necromancy is the raising of a simple shade from an animal's earthly remains. Many apprentices have tried this exercise, and nearly all those suited to the work succeeded in their attempts. It is a rite of passage for many, and it it not uncommon to find wizened old men recounting their first summoning with no small fondness. Make no mistake, young novice, you will remember this day.
A sample of the remains are needed, a bone being the usual choice. This is placed in a dry place, where chalk can be applied easily. Around the bone, the circle is drawn.
There is a diagram of an intricate, complex series of shapes on the opposite page. It's comprised mostly of thin, looping circles that meet in the middle as well as a few triangles seeming to connect some of the different circles. The whole affair is contained within a single larger circle. Looking at it makes your head spin.
Then, three candles are lit, one each for Birth, Life, and Death, the three gateposts of existence on this plane. These are placed around the circle. Now comes the most crucial step; the libation. Good wine should be found and warmed, and certain herbs added. For the raising of a shade the most common are Lavender, Pennyroyal, and Thyme. Pomegranate seeds, mugwort, elderberries, and the bark or root taken from the cedar tree may be utilised by the diligent or nervous apprentice, but are far from necessary. The harvest and storage of these herbs need not be special, but if certain preparations are taken their potency may be improved.
To this libation must be added that which the shade wants above all, blood, the truest elixir of life to those beyond death's gate. The greater the quantity, the more powerful the bonds drawing the shade to our world. For a small summoning as this, a few drops will suffice.
When the remains are in the circle, the candles lit and the libation mixed, the spirit must be summoned by voice as the libation is poured over the remains and the circle. The words themselves do not matter, so long as the meaning is intact. The summoner must call the spirit, demand it return to the world it left with blood and wine as its reward. If all other instructions have been followed, a shade shall appear to do your will.
Well. Seems simple enough, anyway. You're sure you can find most of the herbs in the kitchen or the garden--though it is pretty late, so you'll have to be quiet to avoid waking your family. Wine and candles are in the pantry, and you know you've got chalk stashed away here somewhere. Now how to find some remains...?
>But wait! Before we get too far ahead of ourselves...what's your name? Your gender?
>How do you go about finding animal remains at this time of night? Should you just throw the towel in for now?
///
This quest follows your attempts to become a master of the dark arts...or just pick up chicks in your kickass skeleton car. This is the remake of the original, and while many parts are similar and the rules are much the same, a lot of things are different as well and things will diverge more and more as we continue on.
Decisions are simple majority, with a d2 as a tiebreaker. Write-ins encouraged. Rolls are made after a decision has been decided on. Rolling is best of three d20s, first three is the rule. If there’s a crit (nat1 or nat20) it extends to first five. Good luck.

Quest Intro
You are Mikage Chiba, second year high school student, fifteen years old. You used to be the third woman to carry the mantle of the magical guardian of love and justice known as Sailor Moon, after your mother and older sister. A year and a half ago you had a traumatic experience fighting the corpse of the father of your best friend, struggled victory leaving you thinking you had killed the
man you had set out to save and prompting you to abandon your heritage. More than that, the relating emotional collapse lead you to abandoning yourself. Developing disguises and personas to inhabit and do the things you could not in secret, to live while you let yourself wither, you carried on.
Now you know the truth and have been taking measures to put yourself back together, reconnect with old friends, and make new ones. More than that you’ve been doing your best to support your younger sister, Koyomi, as she has become the fourth to carry the title as Sailor New Moon.
However, today we might not be focusing on you...
Quest Start?
You’ve been basically roaming the block for over an hour. Playing the shitty crane machine at the convenience store, reading magazines, and just deciding on something to drink while you wait bored on the corner. Drowning in annoyance and frustration, you cast your eyes down the street toward your apartment.
“What the hell crawled up her ass,” you grumble as your mind drifts back to your roommate's behavior while you swish around an overly large and square bottle of Oolong Tea, “seriously,”
This frustration is worry of course. Hanako has been acting strange ever since you took her to see that show on Friday. A ton of things had been weird…
Running a hand over the stripes on your cheek, you wince a bit. A new scar from the world you’re getting ready to leave behind. That fight was amazing and weird, but it left you with some questions.
Pulled from your thoughts as someone crosses by you in the empty street, you glance up. You had been leaning in the mouth of an alleyway, so most people passing on the street don’t pay you much or any mind. A woman walks through the street, starts going up the stairs of your building.
You recognize her, one of Hanako’s friends from that Fashion Circle. Friday night, she called her Jade. There was something familiar about her that you couldn’t place.
With a shrug, you down the rest of your tea and toss the bottle into a nearby bin.
Quest Start?
The purse you hide in is, full…
Jangly things like makeup and other things fill the space around you as you shift and try to get comfortable. Well, you shouldn’t try to get comfortable. If you get comfortable then you might fall asleep.
Falling asleep would be bad, because you should be working.
This is a sneaking mission for a sneaky cat.
Looking up through the open zipper, you offer Midori a questioning mewl as the expansive array of stars become visible to you above the rooftops of the narrow pedestrian streets through which she walks.
“Another block,” she sighs, “And then we’ll hopefully just be in and out, Diana,”
Quest Start?
Your hand snaps out and slaps your alarm before it can even blare. Once again you sit up in bed before dawn and stretch to a new day.
A new day with exciting but dangerous possibilities between school, yourself, and the things you need to do to help your friends.
Today’s morning run and workout loom ahead, though you are undecided if you’ll be doing it alone or if you’re going to include your hopefully well rested baby sister in the matter.
>Play as Hisako Ito
>Play as Diana

>This story takes place near the very beginning of the events that take place in XCOM II
It was many years ago when you witnessed ADVENT troopers drop into the camp you had called home in your 9 years of life. You lived with your mother, father and older brother along with many other families in a resistance camp enjoying the outdoors and playing with your friends and brother while your mother worked in the medical tent, taking care of any wounds recieved while hunting or from the rare survivor who stumbled across an advent patrol. Your father worked in the small engineering building keeping the radio tower up and operational and expirimenting with robotics. Life was simple and you had no true idea of what ADVENT was or the threat they posed to mankind. You remember those times fondly, you miss your life in...

Working overtime prevented me from properly updating this. Sorry guys.
The race is fast paced. Orics are fast creatures. It gets to it's stride quickly and makes for the shadow of the Volcano, towards where they live. A few moments later the dogs race towards it. Dorne Hounds are not the fastest hounds in all of the seven kingdoms. However they are the most persistent fast dogs, and have the endurance to track anything at speed.
All the nobby nobles are lined up to see the race. Some that you didn't see earlier are present now. Redwynes, A Stark or two, and various other houses that honestly have no business in dorne. However, they come here for the gambling, the dog trading, the horse trading, and the excitement. Also the tournament the week later.
The race lead starts with the hounds neck and neck. Races like this often start with the hounds close.
Brutus is a mighty hound for a Dorne hound. Melly's hound Alonzo gets a lead. This doesn't last long. Audry is fast. You raised her by hand just like Missy. But unlike Missy, Audry is as fast as she is clever.
Orics are mighty beasts that are as fast as they are clever. And Audry is the smartest dog in all of Dorne. She passes the mighty Brutus and the quick Alonzo as the Oric turns. Audry the faster of the dogs and grabs the Oric by the neck and drags it down. Brutus tails behind and helps pull it down.
End score
Alonzo 11
Brutus 16
Oric 11
Audry 18
>> Great success
There is cheering when the Oric is caught. Some are looking at it with far eyes, but your vision is good enough to see it. You see the tell tale sign of the nobles exchanging money and favors.
Audry comes back dragging the prize of her kill with her. The dog drops it at your feet and sits down. You pull out a small bit of jerky and put it on Audry's nose as it balances. She does the neat little trick you taught her and snacks on the jerky.
Stang and Redmont walk over to you and shake hand.
"It was a good race Conder." Ser pate says. "You trained your hound well." He says.
>> Be a gracious winner.
>> Rub it in, but just a little.
>> Lord it over Melly.
>> Ask if this means if you are hosting the tournament next week.

You are Brianna la Croix, bride-to-be, and today is the big day. You're finally getting used to the torc, which is a good thing because it essentially never comes off. The planning for the actual event was troublesome but rewarding, and now it's time to actually go through with it.
Your heart's supposed to be pounding its way directly out of your ribcage so it can flee into the wild blue yonder, right? /Right/?

Your dress, all in black and violet, is a gift from Henrietta; a small brooch with the family crest helps to clasp it. One does not normally wear a hat at a wedding, but you'd insisted, and both Amy and Nathan backed you up, and that had been that, though for the occasion you've wound a sky-blue ribbon around the hatband and decorated it in a riot of roses and lilies.
Fetch looks handsome in a tailor-made suit, done up for him with absolute dignity by Glen's seamstresses. He'd thanked them for their work with courtly grace, and they'd done him the courtesy of tittering shyly.
"Nervous?" Nathan asks, kindly. You hide your face in your hat and nod. "Don't worry, I am too. Really good things can be scary, Bri. Breathe."
"But if I stop breathing I can embrace the peace of death," you complain; you fully expect the cuff upside the back of the head that you receive. "Joking!"
"Too dark, Bri," Nate chides.
"I know, I know," you agree, with a sigh. You put your hat back on your head and adjust it. It gives you another excuse to look at Nathan too; he's cutting a handsome figure in white & red trim, with Verve riding on his hip in a place of honor. Nathan's shadow is unshackled, and shifts in place like a schoolboy, unable to hold still and unwilling to leave. He puts a hand on your shoulder.
"Hey, you get to say you got given away by a chicken," the Hero says with a grin. "How many people get to say that?"
You snort. "About the same as the folks who had to be the ones getting given away because their bride would have to stab a whole lot of other people to recover, socially, from the implication."
"Harpies," you two say in unison, and you share a laugh.
There's a knock on the door, and Harry steps in. The smith's suit is grey, but a pink rose - a gift from Isoldt - rides in his buttonhole, and he has an expansive smile. "Are we ready?" the smith rumbles.
"As we'll ever be. They just about prepared in the church?" you ask.
"Briony's frantically re-reading her lines," Harry admits. "She's, ah, she's never had to do this part and the shrine hasn't had a priest in ages."
"We could have asked Wren when - /owww/," Kat complains, when you step on her foot. "Nevermind..."
"We don't really ask the gods to do stuff like that," Nathan says kindly.
"I ask Bri to do stuff," Kat complains.
"Brianna's not a god," Harry points out.
"She's the closest thing I've got," your shadow answers, sinking back against the floor. You frown, thoughtfully, but (thankfully?) there isn't much time to worry over it - River's face pokes into the doorway, just behind Harry.
"She's ready," your sister tells you. "I need to go take my place. Congratulations, again!"
You take a deep breath while River scurries off. Nathan takes your hand, and you squeeze his gratefully. "Alright, let's do this," you tell him, firmly. "You ready, Nate?"
>>746262
"For which part?" Nathan asks, wryly. "Getting married to the two great loves of my life, or getting the surname that comes with the job I've already been doing?"
"Smartass. How about for how dead we're going to be by the time Amy's done with us tonight?"
"...No. No, I am not ready."
"Ready or not, it's time," Harry tells the two of you. "Let's get to it."
You'd invited far fewer people to the actual wedding than you had to the reception. Partially this is tradition; a la Croix wedding reception is open to all and sundry. Mostly, though, it's because there's only so much room in the shrine. You, Nathan, and Harry leave the common room of the Unlucky Bastard - the innkeeper was all too happy to let you change in a room upstairs and to give you two privacy - and head for the shrine. Harry walks ahead of Nate, and Fetch ahead of you, in a formal procession. The cheering citizens of Glen throw flower petals in your path, caught up in the joy of the event.
You smile. Everywhere you go, weddings are community events, and it warms your heart.
You don't really have family to bring, but there are people in the shrine for you anyway; Henrietta and Amalie, Isoldt, Cooke, River. You'd invited Hunting Talon, in the spirit of reconciliation, and he'd politely declined, but you're not too surprised when you see him watching through the window.
Amy, resplendent in the burning dress made for her by Miles, is standing too close to Briony for you to tell which one of them the harpy is looking at.
The citizens of Glen present - Missy Brooks, Mrs. Applegrove, Brandon, Captain Miller and his daughter, and more - mostly have eyes for Nathan but they smile freely at both of you, remaining silent in respect. Natalia sits in the front row, completely failing not to cry and causing Kaleidoscope no small amount of confusion.
You can feel the joy and anticipation in the church.
Fetch and Harry lead you and Nathan to your places beside Amy, who stands proudly on her own; Diving Shadow and Larry watch from the rafters, along with the hatchlings. The little ones are doing their best to stay quiet, bless their tiny hearts, and the older children are helping to watch them.
Briony adjusts her glasses with a small cough. "Children of the Gods," she begins, cunningly replacing the traditional 'Sons and Daughters of the Firstborn' - "we are gathered here to - /fuck me/," she swears, as the book slips from her grip. The young priestess catches it before it can hit the ground and stands up straight with a cough. "We are gathered here today to witness the joining of these three in sworn matrimony, before the sight of the Gods and these witnesses. If there are any who object to this union, speak now or remain forever silent."
Part of you expects to hear the crash of breaking glass or a piercing screech, but no voice raises. Briony nods and turns her page, growing more confident.

>Brianna's not a god,yet [\spoiler]
After last time where I died coincidentally when one of my friends did, and everything was put on hold, I finally came back. And instead of being a good QM, I decided to play two days worth of Stellaris in grief. I was not lured by the new DLC, shiny shit to blow up, etc...
After a few hours though I will be busy going to a funeral to a friend, so expect a small gap in between posts around noon.

Elizabeth eats her meal rather calmly for someone who is about to eat six pancakes, twenty slices of bacon, and two sweetrolls. At least, those were the survivors from earlier, when she was more hungry. You of course, can't help but wonder how to be more romantic... You also do a quick look around the room, and note many people are look at your wife, somewhat concerned... Not to mention whispers. Of course, you give some rather intimidating stares towards them while you finish off your pickled herring (Glazed in butter, of course), and start thinking on how to be romantic...
Actions.
>...You might as well take the dirty way. Ask Elizabeth if she'd like to tumble.
>Hold on, try to grab the plate of food she's eating, and try to bring it slowly closer to you so you can give her a kiss.
>...Romance? Who needs that? Your wife is corrupted by this thoughts of "Humans aren't that inferior" and this MUST be rectified right away!
>There's always an easy way. Try to intimidate the onlookers and claim they're undressing your Elizabeth with their eyes or something.
>Ask Elizabeth if she'd like to get a movie after this... They have those, right?
>You should compliment her dragon form. Women love being complimented...
>Maybe you should try to "understand" humans or at least appear like it, and pretend they're... Heh, "equal" for bonus points.
>You have your own idea on how to be romantic... (Specify)

>Maybe you should try to "understand" humans or at least appear like it, and pretend they're... Heh, "equal" for bonus points.
"Liz?"
"Yeah? What?" She says, inbetween mouthfuls of food.
"I was thinking... How exactly do you humans work?"
Roll me a 1d20+7 to see if you can try to understand humans... Or at least pretend to understand.
