You are Purps and you feel so relaxed. Your entire body is made of feathers, your toes and fingers are splayed out across your bedding. After everything you've been through... yeah this is nice.

The wagon continues to creep forward at a steady rate while you sit in your own little world.

You are Purps. Amnesiac Starborn, blessed of Minerva, The Purple Firefly, Saviour of Grinnsmon, an unaligned party in the civil war taking place on this continent and apparently unable to die due to the machinations of what you suspect is a Demon.

You currently travel with your two friends; Honamurei - A guradswoman who befriended you and saved your life in Grinnsmon. She lost her eye defending her town from a psychotic Rebel. And Luc - Son of one of the most powerful Loyalists in The Republic, his father went insane and tried to kill you in a feral overprotective state. He's kind of like a little brother to you.

You work for Doctor Lexington - perhaps the oldest living Starborn and a fount of knoweldge. Like you though, there are chunks of his life he cannot recall and he seems to be trying to stay away from the ongoing conflicts.

Together you are all heading to The Academy. A neutral ground where anyone and everyone is welcomed and trained in the arcane, scholarly or martial arts.

So try not to die again?

New intro, thoughts?

You are the former United States Navy warship USS HOEL, now returned as a shipgirl and ready to kick Abyssal ass!

Your first night in Yokosuka Base was... pretty hectic. Despite the Captain's best efforts to ensure everything would be nice and orderly, he had made one crucial mistake: allowing the American and Japanese shipgirls to bunk in the same communal dorm building.

Sure, it was more the Admiral's idea, and it wasn't like there weren't any other suitable areas on the base to house you all, but none of those really made the Captain's job easier. Despite the pre-arranged room assignments, there as a LOT of intermingling going on. Slumber parties and whatnot. It was just pure chaos.

This time, you woke up to find yourself...

The night passes by-
relatively peacefully.

Relatively.

Oh, sure. You still hear the scuttling of guards outside your door. You still hear the occasional bump and trip in the hallway. You still hear the swearing, and the chattering; not to mention the ruckus.

Feels like home.
Home on the open ocean.

You are Jack Albator, king of your dreams, lordship of your visions, and even here you're an excellent defender of truth and justice.
You're also one in real life, but it's been a struggle convincing others of your noble cause.

Right now, you are the captain of your own little ship. You sail it peacefully into the night, and plot a course to sensible rest.

--

Or, you would, if the door that leads into your room wasn't bothering you again.

"Jack." You hear from the other side, "Jack, it's like a few hours before noon."

You are Prince Meirion auk Gwyrren, the only sane man in a royal family with dubious concepts of strategy, justice, taxation, and governance in general. You have made it your goal in life to keep your family on the throne and your head firmly attached to your body.

===============

Seren sits on your lap while you read letters from local lords. Most of them are updates on military forces and assurances of support and loyalty, but a few are excuses and polite explanations for why they can't raise any armies at the moment. No doubt some are valid, but others probably aren't. Sorting them out will be annoying.

"You're getting heavier." You hug Seren and gently kiss here neck.

"Your child is heavy," Seren says. She lightly slaps your hand away. "And kicking, too. I talked to her highness and Esyllt and they have a much calmer time of it."

"Doesn't that make it your fault then?"

"Possibly." Seren turns around to kiss you. "But I still blame you. What do you want to do about all these barons and counts who are too busy or impoverished to join your army?"

"You'd know them better than I do," you say. "What do you think?"

"Some of them honestly can't do it, and those who won't might react poorly if you force their hand," she says. "It might be easier to just give them a way out by asking for money or other resources instead."

A fine, basically, although that would be a crude way to put it.

You stand on top of your tank's turret and peek over the hedgerow, trying to spy any signs of German activity amongst the bocage along Route 213 with your binoculars. Next to you, Captain Dyas does the same, occasionally ducking down to send a message over the radio or to have an infantry Sergeant, crouched on the ground behind your tanks with the man-packed No. 38 send one to his compatriots. Scanning back and forth you spot another light column of exhaust smoke, twirling and twisting as it emerges above the hedges and trees which otherwise cut sight lines East of the village.

"Got another one, looks like a half-track, maybe an armoured car, bearing on our 2 o'clock. What's that make now Captain?" You say, lowering your binoculars and crouching down on the turret roof to look back into the small field you're parked in. It's bustling with tankers from 4CLY's Recce Troop and stragglers from the Motor Company, along with 5 Stuart Tanks and a handful of Bren Carriers all awaiting the word for if they'll be the next patrol sent out.

"Between 4 and 6 light vehicles, at least one armoured car and judging from the small arms fire from before, infantry to match." He says, spotting the smoke you pointed before dropping down into his cupola to add it's position to his map.

"They're probably the reconnaissance elements of the 2nd Panzer Division coming up from the South to plug the Caumont gap. They seem spread out though and the only tanks we can hear or see are way out East bombarding Point 213." You hop across the gap between your two vehicles so you can point at the map over his shoulder, tracing the Germans' likely route. "Which means we can expect at least a Company of them to be here or here soon."

"Mhm, but they're likely collecting prisoners and trying to cut off any retreat from Point 213. That armoured car wasn't expecting any organised resistance which is probably why our foot patrol caught it off guard." Dyas says, pointing to where the first foot patrol had knocked out a German armoured car with their PIAT while you'd been moving towards the East side of Villers.

"The Stuarts could give us an edge if you reconnoitred in force, but only until heavier German armour arrived and we're still short on infantry, though with 1/7th arriving now that should change, and a successful attack on our part would recover much of the Motor Company trapped in no man's land." You reply, pointing tentatively to locations on the map where survivor's of the morning's ambush could have holed up. "But we'd be at risk of getting cut off or destroyed in a straight fight, not to mention our position is precarious enough as is." You point to the field on the Eastern edge of Villers where you're currently sitting. Just as Dyas opens his mouth to respond, your deliberations are interrupted by Lieutenant Cooper, who pops out of the loader's hatch on Caesar to call to you.

"Major, er Major Dupont's set up a command post in the town centre and wants a report on the recce situation up here before we retired back to 5 RTR positions!" He holds the handset out towards you. Looks like it's time to make a decision.

> Leave it to Captain Dyas, you should be getting back to your unit anyway, he and Major Dupont can figure out a plan.
> They should send out the Stuarts and gather what infantry they can to mount a reconnaissance in force, if the Germans can be forced out of the area between Villers and 213 then A Sqdn can fall back safely.
> They should pull all their troops back into Villers, they don't have the numbers to contest the dead ground with German elements moving in and every hand will be needed to hold Villers soon.

Last time: We intimidated the Mayor, killed his secretary, pulled an improve rescue mission that turned to a race to return intel of a Psy Zombie battalion. We prepped for the battle to rescue our brother and destroy the Psy Zombie Sectoid Commanders and managed to sneak to the train as the war wages on.
=========================

You jump on the platform as you see him begin to retreat so the Psy Zombie forces can do the heavy lifting in the fight.
You sprint at his side and he tirns his large eyes widetning even further as you draw your blade and pierce his throat simultaneously turning the cloaking dial and vanishing. The sectoid commander dies choking on his own blood without ever seeing who delivered the killing blow.
You hear the thudding of many psy zombies now without a leader collapsing, you look at the now limp bodies and notice a brave resistance member trying to push forward.
You then watch in horror as he gets mobbed by 5 Psy Zombies who wothstand his shotgun fire and take him to the ground and ripping off his limbs, you try and block out his screaming and focus on the mission.

You still have an action since initial melee costs no actions.

Specify Luke or Lance.

Rolled 99, 66 = 165 (2d100)

You whisper over the comms,
"Let's get personal with these guards. I've got the one on thse right." You see Luke nod and unsheath his Axe Blade, giving it a flick so the pure steel axe head extends. You rush to the train car door and fling it open blade in hand. The Troopers begin to panic as they cannot see what has opened the door, Luke hangs on the back of the train just beneath a window and draws his axe back as you close in on the closest trooper.
Rolling 2d100 giving Luke gets a +10 for his melee specialty.

>>Information

This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a twenty-two year old man named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.

>Rules

At the end of each update you'll have ten minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.

In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins

Rolls will be used on certain occasions, such as attempting a technique for the first time or attempting something extremely difficult. You will have three rolls, and if one succeeds, you succeed. There are no crits.

Rolls are made AFTER an option wins, not during the voting process

I hope everyone has fun.

>Election Edition!

You were not but a humble maid for a fanciful estate in Almace, but alas you were cast out!

Escaping a fate most terrible, you found help along the way, starting out with barely rags on your back, to now a tenuous member of the (very) lower middle class. By the grace of God, fate, or perhaps just luck, your life has changed dramatically in the last year and may yet change still. Something which brings fear as much as anticipation.

i browse /qst/ a lot. I'm bored. i want something to keep my mind of the election.

so, why not?

========

You are Aku. The Master of Masters. The Deliverer of Darkness. The Shogun of Sorrow.

For many centuries and beyond, you have stood undisputed in your reign, where the earth has been in your possession for as long as you could remember. And after that, you've grown to rule some of the outlying stars as well, basically setting you for millennia.

The most recent threat of yours, a foolish Samurai Warrior, was abolished when you dispelled his attempy and flung him straight into the future. It has been long since that day, and you expect a hasty return. Perhaps some mere decades from now, he will show and ensue his puny attempts at mutiny - but, a more pressing concern belittles you at this hour;

You're bored. Like, increasingly, fucktastically bored. Out of all your wretched days, the only problem that persisted the most was absolute boredom and more boredom after that.

You yawn, and materialize a clock with your hands. You set it to an hour alarm, where you're free to do whatever until then. This has been an on-off game that you've grown rather...accustomed to. In about an hour, you've designated yourself to a common Aku speech at Metropolis Center X-24k9b, but that's far off from now.

Questions remains, what's there to do?

>scower the globe, try and find an unknown civilization left dormant on the planet and integrate them into the ruling of Aku for worshiping and providing for you.
>call forth a criminal into your abode and give him a task just to see if he can even do it correctly - or if he fails, send him to a worse dwelling in the Pit of Hate.

With a cheeky grin, and a snap of the fingers, you know just what the occasion calls for.

You retrieve a phone out of the void, and start to dial up with a forced vigor, hoping to hopefully ensue a few giggles or two.

As you input the number directed from a random menu from your list of over a thousand concurrent pizza joints, you wonder how to go about this.

"Hello, this is Bzl'Kelomaks fine dicing, how may we help you this day?"

You take a deep breath, hold it in all steady like:

>scare them with a false penalty notice using your omnipresence

>try a really crummy joke that'll go over their heads

Dashing to your sheep you leap over a stray log. Fucking sheep running off without you noticing. Brushing some leaves to clear your view you sprint faster. The cold winter air pushing against your face. Skidding to a stop you notice that the sheep has disappeared. You take a look about and hear a bleat. You notice what looks to be stone blocks. Then there is a loud scrape and many whirrs and clicks. Warily you approach the origin of the sound

What you see is a large archway with many runes inscribed upon its posts. The inside is dark and dank. You feel a sense of overwhelming fear staring into the abyss within. The bleating is still their but much fainter. You brace yourself as you know if you do not return to father without his prize sheep it will be the whip for you. And the whip is a fate worse than death.

After some deliberation, you manage to take the first few steps into the stone room. You look around and see a lantern hanging off a nail on the wall. You take it and see that some fuel still resides inside. Grabbing a rock and striking the lamp on the side it lights the ancient oils inside. Thank goodness that your brother taught you how to handle a lantern.

Demolishing the darkness you see that moss covers most of the surfaces. It is a strange moss you have never seen before. A greyed color with a smell that is like a long dead elk. You cover your nose and recoil from the deathly stench.

The “Grey Elk” as you have just named it spreads into a small hole. Another bleat is heard down the hole. It is possible you might fit but it would be quite difficult to pull back up.

Consider your options:
