Hi there /p/eople,
the house I'm moving to has an addictional bathroom (9x5ft) so I'm planning to set it up as a darkroom; it has a washing machine (top right) and a radiator under the window (right).

What would be the best way to organize it, in your opinion?

Mine is the nikkor MF 35-70mm.

It came with a working nikon F3 that I got for free.

I mounted it on a D7000 and the image sucks.
My 35mm 1.8g rapes it in IQ.

i haven't used many, none of them are that bad

Also one of the most underrated cameras on the market.

The Olympus XA takes the cake.

A pocket-size 35mm rangefinder with an very sharp Zuiko 35mm f/2.8 lens.

Yet it can only shoot aperture priority and has an extensive selection of accessories: two flashes.

Is abandoned structure photography completely overdone? I have a lot of abandoned homes photographed, but I'm leary about posting any of it online because I think it might be cliche at this point.

A lot of instagrammers like "Tonydetroit" made urbex mainstream, and then it seemed to become oversaturated from there.

Everything is completely overdone.
>>
>>2732906
So if everything is overdone, then nothing is more overdone than anything else?

I personally enjoy some minimalism photography, and am sometimes surprised how a minimalist image can pop out at me. I also enjoy the fuck out of ALL landscape photography. I don't care if it's the Teton mountains or a flat field.
>>
I don't think it's the subject so much as the execution that is cliche. And that applies to any subject matter. You generally find that urbex seems to have crushed blacks and over-saturated colours, street is, more often, than not, black and white and slightly out of focus while landscape is shot with the widest fucking lenses money can buy.

I think the reason for this is because so many people go on forums like /p/ and plebbit and ask questions like "I want to try my hand at _____ (insert genre), what lens shall I buy?" They then do what the loudest echo in the chamber tells them to do and everyone ends up following each other like sheep.

So, do it but try something different.

So, where is my best bet to get this camera? Considerably I'm trying to keep my budget as low as possible; although GadgetCircuit is fucking sketchy as shit.

Thinking about Adorama, just ordering body and buying a separate lens.

What lens should I get? (400~600 Range)

Its just a photo of a flower. Thats all.
If your getting into photography 2 things which will help you in developing skills.
Just dont do flower macros, even good ones.
Dont get into HDR, when you discover what HDR is stop there and go and learn a technique thats actually worthwhile.

Buy a light meter, buy a 5 in 1 reflector. Youre welcome.

The difference between APS-C/APS-H and 35mm is negligible. A 35mm digital sensor is great if you want to use lenses at a particular focal length. That's about it.

All the discussion about depth of field, noise, etc, is bullshit. No one passes double blind tests when trying to differentiate between a crop and 'FF' sensor.

Go an look into MF digital or LF film and you'll start to see how utterly pointless the APS-C/FF debate is. It's at MF and above that size starts to really matter. But then you have the issue of an expensive huge sensor/piece of film which is the reason 35mm and below exists.

35mm/APS-H/APS-C are just arbitrary sizes of crop sensors that will fit into small cameras and they all do approximately the same thing. Calling 35mm 'full frame' is monumentally stupid. 35mm is a fucking crop sensor.

35mm is called 'full-frame' by definition, not a by society's choice. 50 1.8 is a 50mm cheap buy on a full-frame. It's not a 50mm on a crop. For that you need a 35.

Now, stop fucking shit positing on /p/

it's only useful if your image will be printed, by a real lab, with a printer profile they can send you, processed on a carefully calibrated screen, taken on a camera profiled perfectly.

For daily shit posted online, or printed at walgreens, you're wasting your time and money.

what are a few examples of great cameras with filters for beginners that dont require much screwing around?
