I need some advice /o
I have the chance to buy a 1991 Ford Bronco, pic related, for $800
It has the 302, but it was taken out of the car because the 8th piston lost compression.
The guy who took the engine out didn't label any of the bolts to where they're supposed to go.
Should I go for it /o? I'd buy a crate engine and throw it in. The body and frame are in very good condition.
I'll post a pic of the engine in this thread.
The 302 that was taken out.
Pass look at those oil stains shit looks like a yucky time
>>17422122
I don't plan on rebuilding the engine. The rest of the car just needs some cleaning and a new 302.
Why are you sat at home alone on a friday night?
Why aren't you out at the meets or on vacation with your bros or >gf?
What are your car related plans for the weekend?
slushbox > cum dumpster
post waifu
Its not like I ever go out on a friday night but I have a searing headache so the last thing I want to do is drive or even walk
>no gf to go on night drives with
>only friend who is available on Friday nights likes to put his feet on the dashboard and listen to rap music
>too tired from working all week to go out late at night
>work early Saturday mornings anyway
>tfw
What are you drinking tonight br/o/s?
>>17421598
>Why are you sat at home alone on a friday night?
All work and no play makes anon a dull shitposter.
>Why aren't you out at the meets or on vacation with your bros or >gf?
There's an /o/ meet this weekend that I may go to but I'm uncertain if I want to leave my dog alone for 9 hours.
>What are your car related plans for the weekend?
A fistful of maybes, install a lightbar, hang a trans, fix some brake lines, steal my speakers from a truck i sold etc
>slushbox > cum dumpster
debatable
>post waifu
don't tell me what to do.
Why shouldn't I buy one of these?
>>17421324
Electronics go bad in them.
Gutless v8 until modified
That's about all I can think of op.
They're a nice, and extremely cheap luxury vehicle. The only problem is that 95% of them are over 200,000 miles, and unless you really, REALLY love the car, replacing 500 dollars worth of struts shocks, and ball joints isn't a sound investment when the car is worth maybe 1500-2000 tops.
>>17421324
It's a Toyota Camry with some leather and fake wood thrown on it.
What does /o/ think of LED accents on the inside?
>>17420205
My dad's 16' S63 AMG has it and at night it is a sight to see.
My 2008 Golf shitbox came with red LED accents above the center console that turn on when you turn on the headlights
I think its NEET-o
Submarine lights are cool
Underglow is too gaymer for my tastes.
You WISH you had this many miles in your german cuckbox.
>Protip: Impossible to deny
No? it makes your car worth less
>>17420157
>Wanting to sell your car
>ever
>>17420151
Its less than 300k. Its less than what random passat in germany drives in under 10 years or even under 5
Is there anything more pathetic than a 3-series owner? It's like the guy that buys a fake rolex just to seem like he's wealthy. You can literally buy them CPO for $20k directly from BMW...with 0.9% financing. No wonder all these know-nothing teenie boppers are driving around with them...yuck
Now that we got that out of the way, one of my friends recently bought a 2014 328i and I've been driving it on occasion and I can't help but notice the transmission in this thing is fucking awful. The throttle response is super laggy in first gear. I did some quick Googling and it looks like this is fairly normal and is a result of some "adaptive" transmission that fits your driving style or some shit. But I have noticed that when coming to a stop, the engine downshifts and it's surprisingly abrupt and jerky. There is no revmatching, it feels like someone just slammed it into second from third and then just dropped the clutch. It doesn't happen everytime, but I have literally never felt this from an automatic transmission in any auto car except this one.
Any of you guys have some advice?
>is there anything more pathetic
Yes, that would be you OP.
Manual swap
>bimmerfags incoming to defend their overpriced piece of shit cars
/o/, are there some cars that are just automotive abortions?
Pic-related, I think Chrysler fucked up with the Plymouth Prowler. They didn't have the money to develop 2 custom American cars that were so drastically different from everything else they made at the same time, and it shows. So much of the Prowler is good ideas done badly, or bad ideas done well, like the front wheels. Chrysler should've spent all the money they spent on the Prowler making the PT Cruiser a real luxury wagon.
What cars do you think should've been killed on the drawing board?
>>17416818
Go fuck yourself you piece of shit. I'm so sick of people shitting on the Prowler.
that looks like a longboy pt cruiser
>prowler
>fucked up
Nah, I think you did by making this thread.
what are the downsides to a camaro ss?
Last gen is heavy as fuck and handles like a pig (Z28 excluded), though the new gen handles pretty good. Both of them have godawful visibility that takes half a year just to get used to. Prolly the only car where I'd voluntarily get lane warning sensors.
>>17416733
visibility is always an issue. Good luck ever having to look over your shoulder because its very difficult to see. It also feels like a very wide car partly because you can't really "feel" how big the back end is.
Thats really all I can think of, its a neat car othewise
mine was in ohio on a rail car as of 3 days ago

Apologies for the cross-board posting. I just recently installed Windows 10 and now WebM for Bakas doesn't work anymore.
Too baka to figure out ffmpeg, and online converter keeps audio.
I taught a cager a lesson today and wanted to share.

fd3s > supra
that being said, i still like it.
Alright now that I have a schedule that I can rely on lets get a late night cruise going through the Ortegas. I see all these meets and cruises but they are always during traffic hours. Lets do something where we can have fun and not bug anyone on the roads.
>When
June 23rd (Friday) meet at 9pm Leave around 10pm
>Where
31722 Rancho Viejo Rd, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675
Pic related. Theres a little "raised" parking lot in the corner. Meet there.
The plan is to meet at the parking lot, cruise up to the "Narrow Bridge" by the Fire Station, than cruise up to Lookout Road House than cruise back to the fire station. Rinse and repeat until bored.
If anyone is from the I.E. you can drive over to us and spot to see if any cops are on the road or you can just meet us at the lookout (probably be there by 1030/11pm)
>>17405635
How are these events discussed to set the time and date? Or are they just your own private cruise? You should have more discussion in the main s/o/cal thread. Maybe late drives can be a cool down event after dinner when the earlier s/o/cal drive finishes.
>>17406134
No clue how the standard one goes or who sets that up, but there are tons of us in SoCal so I figured I would just throw up some mini meets when I plan to hit the canyons and offer a "cruise" to those interested.
>>17406269
Also for those who just want to or only have nights open. If I dodnt have to get up for work at 5am every day I would probably do 2am/3am cruises. When there is no one at all on the roads
/superhatch/ club.
To join /superhatch/ club, your hatchback needs to do the following:
>0 - 60 sub 5 seconds
>300+ bhp
Not so fast Golf R cucks.

>Faster than GT-R for half price
>Pulls more G's than a million dollar Porsche 918
>More LeMans wins than Ford GT
>Looks as good or better than [insert latest model] Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin
>Delicious FI variably timed V8 power
>Honda-Civic-tier 37 MPG
