Rear tyres are too wide for their own good, swingarm extended. Really slow in the corners, and sudden bursts of acceleration when a straight appears. Squids wear no protection, deeming themselves invincible. This fact compounds intself with the fact that they engage in 'extreem riding'--performing wheelies and stoppies in public areas. Squids wreck alot. Derived from 'squirly kid'

it depends on how and where you ride
dont take uneccesary risks on the street and you will avoid the majority of the reposted crashes you see here
the plain bad luck ones are just that though, but lots of pedestrians are killed on the street every day too and its pretty rare theres a fatal accident where there was absolutely nothing you could have done

>>
>>1765743
Yeah, for some reason I second guessed myself, I shouldn't done that.
>>
>>1765734
so much wrong with this i don't know where to begin
sorry to be preachy but you've gotta get a feel for how the bike is going to turn and getting the bike onto such a lean + steering angle that you know what radius you're going to turn in. id recommend riding around empty roundabouts at different entry speeds and just lapping it 3 or 4 times or until you're dizzy
and throttle control isn't just worrying about the rear spinning i think you pushed out the front tire here from trying to turn with too much throttle therefore too much weight on rear and not enough on front.
nothing too serious though and its just down to experience. you're off to a good start since you didn't drop it

>>1765746
good stuff here though i think a lot of people on bikes or cars would have just crashed into the back of that van or dropped it as you stopped so nicely done

how long have you been riding brother
>>
>>1765753
first of all I'm usually not that bad on roundabouts.
>sorry to be preachy but you've gotta get a feel for how the bike is going to turn and getting the bike onto such a lean + steering angle that you know what radius you're going to turn in.
This is what I usually do except for that moment so that why I knew before I fucked up.
>and throttle control isn't just worrying about the rear spinning i think you pushed out the front tire here from trying to turn with too much throttle therefore too much weight on rear and not enough on front.
nothing too serious though and its just down to experience. you're off to a good start since you didn't drop it

The problem with my bike(maybe all bikes?) is that the tiniest bit of throttle make the bike jerky so I usally use the clutch or shift gear up before and the throttle make less power and therefore less jerky.
is that ok? (I think it's happening because my bike is only 250cc so It's easily going up the revs and become jerky and like being on 3k-4k revs minimum)
>how minimum long have you been riding brother
I got the motorcycle for 2 years but the first year I barely rode it because it scared me a little bit and I didn't have where to go. So I'd say I drive for about a year.

Thanks
>>
>>1758192
No, the guy that went over the barrier in the video survived. He actually hit another motorcyclist on the other side and that was the one who died

>>
>>1765769
i can't say for sure since i haven't tried your bike but i've been on a few and most of them just need REALLY smooth opening for the first touch on the throttle
the jerkiness of smaller bikes is because of the gearing for acceleration. don't settle for the bike being jerky just try your best to move 1% of your throttle at a time as you roll on until you have got to around 5-10% of your throttle then you can really open it. that first touch is where the subtle weight transfer can unload the tire enough that you can twist the tire on the road with the bars

>more cars involved in accidents than any other vehicle (although larger population of cars)
>more people injured in single vehicle accidents in cars than any other vehicle (although larger population of cars)
>>
>>1765851
Cool statistics you got there - mind controlling for population?
>>
>>1765856
im not digging up the stats for you. i found them on the w.h.o and the australian bereau of statistics a few years ago
the fact of the matter stands that the most dangerous road users for everyone is car drivers. which was ehat your initial claim was about right?
look at your local stats. look at who is more and more likely involved in accidents, in multiple vehicle accidents, in pedestrian collisions, in injuries and consider the level of training required and standard of vehicle required for each type. oh and comparing populations differing by a factor of 1000s does not reflect reality. im sick of this same argument.
after all put humans in control of anything with little regulation or limitation and you will see a poor outcome
>>
>>1765885
You don't think it's important to control for population size?
You just want to throw numbers around and say "oooh this agrees with me"? You've been huffing gasoline then. Controlling for size-difference is important for exactly this reason.
Let's take a simple statistic often thrown around - In the US most violent crimes are perpetrated by whites - but if you control for population size - you get a different picture.
See in the US there's a white majority (let's just for the sake of argument lob hispanics in with european whites) so of course they'll be represented more often in statistics such as crime.
However - blacks make up 40% - if not more - of violent crimes in the US - despite only making up ~14% of the population.
And here you will say "it doesn't matter! Whites do more crime!" - sure they do - but you run into far more whites on a daily basis, than you will blacks - and yet you have a higher chance per black than per white to be the victim of a violent crime.
So fuck outta here with your inane bullshit and control for fucking population.

Bruh, your exhaust sound exits backwards. Unless if you have a Harley with open headers, your exhaust isn't loud enough. Not to mention that reving means you can't escape, clutch is pulled in and your speed is dropping. Honk next time.

A lot of squids drop rev bombs to avoid an accident, when they should be honking. Sure it sounds cool, but no one can hear you. I rarely have close calls now since I started honking excessively. Sure, I may sound like a dick, but probably still friendlier than reving your engine.

That's true, it's largely due to the geometry of the steering. The typically smaller rake angles and trail lengths seen on sports bikes allows them to turn much easier than the typical cruiser, but also makes them less stable in a straight line, more prone to speed wobble. But then the more aggressive geometry bikes will have some sort of damper fitted.

I took the MSF course in Dec. 2015 and got my first bike in March 2016, so I've only been riding for about a year, and that's what everyone says once they find out you ride. Assess the risk whenever you ride, and make smart, calculated decisions and you'll be fine. >>
>>1773496
The wave is universal
I also know shaking the left leg which means hazard on road ahead
exaggerated pointing at the gas tank with your thumb straight up and finger out like a finger-gun is "i need gas"
Tapping the lid is "police ahead." I use this alot when passing other bikers and there are speed traps I saw.

Then there's the cheery brap you give someone you pass if they're stopped in a turn lane and you're passing straight by

What's interesting is obviously percentages in a case like this since there are so many more cars than bikes. Once you speak about proportions cars don't even come CLOSE to bikes. There's a reason the insurances on sport bikes are so insanely expensive. Some health insurances won't even give you money if you got injured riding a bike because of how common it is.

you can upshift bike transmissions without clutching if you manage the RPMs and throttle correctly. it's way faster and it doesn't damage anything

if you do it right its fine to shift a bike without the clutch

new bikes even have up and down quick shifters from the factory, which just shows that it isn't very harmful to the transmission (assuming its done right)
