Currently planning for the second weekend in August, (12-13) but the date is subject to revision

This will be a two day meet with an overnight camping stop. The current plan is to start somewhere in Granite Falls and drive the mountain loop over to Darrington. in Darrington we can pick up perishable supplies, ice, beer, w/e for the overnight stay.

Camping will be in the Sauk river valley, which is considered a primitive camping area. this means we will need to carry in either enough water or adequate water filtration for the second half of the day/following morning. the area could be quite hot and sunny, so bring pop up shades, umbrellas, sunscreen, etc, to help you keep cool. this is also an area of fairly high insect activity, so bring your favorite bug spray.

there is a shooting pit in the camp area, so feel free to bring something to plink with. please be smart with your firearm usage/storage

Day 2 will consist of following highway 530 up to highway 20, and then looping along the back side of the cascades back toward Monroe.

As of the last meet, it was decided that everyone needs to have a radio for communication. it helps a lot with general coordination as well as locating people in areas with no cell phone service. We recommend snagging a Baofeng UV-5R from amazon. they're dirt cheap, and surprisingly solid.

Every car was shit tier with the second gas crisis and emissions. I don't understand the appeal among the underage, having actually grown up around 80s shitboxes. Design peaked in the 60s, though the 70s wasn't too bad.

Would you buy a car that someone died or or was used to transport a body?

I have family in LE and I always get a quick peak at all the cars they are auctioning every couple years. This year they have this fucking MINT 1999 F250 7.3L with only 60k miles on it.

I want that truck so god damn bad, I asked my brother why it was seized and he said it was used to transport a body during a murder. Obviously the body was in the bed of the truck because there isn't any blood inside. However half of the trucking truck is sticky from being sprayed with Luminol so I MAY have to replace the carpet and seats or just have it detailed like 10 times in a row at different places.

Think I should buy it?

Due to having family in LE I can probably get it out of auction if I pay 7k and make a small 300 dollar donation to the county as well

addendum: do you care about the millions of animals that have lived and died on the soil you walk on?

I'm sick of paying out of my ass for rent to live in a tiny box with 5 shitty housemates.

I am going to buy a van to sleep in, park it on campus. Get a membership at the campus gym for shower facilities. The only thing I haven't figured out is eating.

Has any of you fagg/o/t done something similar? Where I live it doesn't get too cold (-5 Celsius, 23 Fahrenheit for like a week) so I can survive the winter nights with a good sleeping bag.

I can even ask for an office at the university and a parking spot since I'm going to be a grad student next year. This will give me a pass that will allow me to stay late at the university buildings. So really, I just need to get out at 12:00, go to sleep in the car, shower at 8:00 and start the day,

Only thing I haven't figured out is food. Eating out isn't a big thing here. Most people cook their own food and I won't be able to do much. I can have a microwave in my office but that's about it.

Pic related is the van I think I will get. Just an inconspicuous workman's van.

I thinking of investing in a new car. I'm 23, ~ok driver(do speed). Somethin compact like a Mazda6 or 3. RWD (Never driven) I'll be drifting. First car was 97 Jetta GL (Miss that gear shift) Also starting a business and bundling this car into an everyday/city/~toegay/compay car(Insert tofu joke). I just bought a Mazda 6 TS2 on Sunday. Same as pic related but this isn't mine.

Some little scratches and faded paint, fag lighter doesn't work. Full service and mot history. Bought it off some Polski guy in Edinburgh who had it up on gumtree. Diesel. 63,000 miles. 2008 model

£2800 down from £3200.

I'm not the guy to get advice from desu. I'm 27 and this is my first 'proper' car. The previous one was a shitbox Vauxhall Astra. I've not gotten used to this Mazda yet nor would I be able to give an unbiased opinion on it.

Nevertheless, let me just say that I am in love with my new car. That's all.
>>
I'd get a 86, not memeing. They're holding decent value and I'd expect this would hold up within the next 10 years. 350z's are just now starting to drop in price.

Also a Miata RF would be nice, but it's hard for a 20 year old to pull off a new miata. But a new FRS? Perfect car for your age.

Planning to buy an E46 320 diesel from Germany for somewhere around 4500 euro. Been searching for one on mobile.de and I want to know what are some common problems, what to look for, what is the maximum number of km to look at when buying the car.

It will be my first car and I think it is suitable. How does it handle in winter, how good is the auto transmission etc. I need everything on it, been looking on forums for info but I want to hear /o/ opinion as well.

Check the subframe on it be4 buying.

E46 liked to crack the subframe, mostly known in M3's - its said all E46 m3 WILL develop cracks in there, the question only being - WHEN.
But the issue exists on lower powered one's too. Just the car has less stress since lower power usuallz means less stress on subframe.

Other than that they have few issues but nothing as big. Mostly pumps oil and water since they share drive with e39.

E39 is much better base. Torsional rigidity is higher, they are in better condition since rarely used by kid racers, and they look better imo.
>>
>>17477178
also 5 series depreciated more since everyone wants the 3 and 3 are more popular being smaller.

But e39 is phenomenal value.
There are several articles on it online. And they continue to depreciate more.

You just need to find the one kept in good condition. 525 td's are really good if to trust my driving instructor who had built up e30 for local track days and owned several bmw's.

He praised e46 too though, its just my bias towards vip style.
>>
>>17477178

The E39 is gorgeous, but I'm looking for something smaller, since i'm a beginner and I drove only small cars since I got my driver's license(2007 mercedes-benz c350 and 2005 mitsubishi pajero pinin 3.8l)
