can we have a realistic dream car thread. We post cars we could buy within the next 24 months.
IF****** it comes to north america
>>17485337
If I survive off of the bare minimum it could be doable in 24 months.
5-doors were a mistake.

I'm more of a Carbon guy.
>have an old fart crash into my car from behind at a red light
>insurance company says it's totalled
>think about selling the car to a scrap yard and buy another car
>get emotional and decide to save muh little car
>guy in the local ford owners fb group says that he can help in sorting this shit out
>take the car to him, he looks like he knows his business, says it will be done in 10 days
>after the 8th deadline, and 1,5 months later i got enough and decide to go for my car anyways
>he took out every functional part of my car and replaced it with broken shit
>the bodywork that he was supposed to do is worse than what i could have done
>didn't even dare to show his fucking face, he asked his mom to give the car to me
>car doesn't even start now
>tfw i paid like $600 for him to turn my car requiring some bodywork into a total wreck
god fucking dammit
HOLY SHIT you are retarded.

why tho
that's what you get for dealing with facebook car group
Serious problem here guys: i have an old honda civic from 2001 and today i put my key into the ignition keychamber and it would only a few milimeters. Ive searched online and my wheel is probably blocked.
So here are a few key problems: my wheel wont turn fully (it only goes for a few cm and then it springs back to the left), my brake and gas pedal are blocked (and also the one next to them idk how its called in eng). My key is not bent i have tried to open my doors and it works, i can honk and turn on all signal lights by pressing the big red button. Someone please help. Thanks in advance. (Pic related its my car)
Try turning the key, then turn the steering wheel back and forth as hard as you can. Also might help if you shake it a little bit
Doesnt work i tried it a few times
Nvm my friend just came to help me and he unblocked the wheel in half a minute
What is the point of buying a "sports" car when a superbike will outrun t 99.999% of the time?
why do manufacturers bother with factory riced econoboxes that are noisier, less comfortable and less efficient?
>>17493112
Because I don't like risking my life every time I go over 40 mph. I agree a bike is more enjoyable. But the risks outweight the rewards if I can afford a fast car.
And it's not the bike driver. It's the fucking idiot texting and not even looking on a right on red that kills you. This happened to my buddy. He lost a testicle because he busted it on the gas tank, broke both wrists and broke his eye socket inside his helmet by smashing it on the car and the pavement.
If that happens in my car, I replace some parts and continue on like nothing happened.

Why are there so few mid-engine American sports cars?
Why doesn't GM bring back the Fiero or Corvair for the modern age? Theres a pretty big potential market for Mid-Engine Americans but nobody seems to want to fill the gap. A non-gimped modern Fiero would be cool though
>>17492413
As of now most of that market is European, as far as I remember Japan has 2 or 3 right now, and the US has 1. Meanwhile euros have a mountain of them
>>17492413
Because that would be a risk and GM doesn't take risks anymore.
>Why are there so few mid-engine American sports cars?
What does /o/ think of Doug DeMuro?
I think youtuber shilling should be a bannable offense.
>>17492412
this.
>>17492406
He's getting more irritating with each video.
>I'm going to repeat the price for the 12th time and laugh at my own 'joke'
>lol count the logos because that matters for some reason
>complain about features being missing when he'd find it in 10 seconds with the owner's manual
What's the essential Clarkson kino?
Is modern Top Gear worth watching?
>>17492156
You mean The Grand Tour? Not really worth watching unless you like the contrived crap of late Top Gear episodes, unless you like then, in which case it's much better. Joey and Chris Evans Top Gear is fucking garbage.
>>17492170
I'm waiting for the reviews to come in and the scripts to get cleaner and slightly less retarded. The only good segment was the maserati challenge, hopefully a broken leg will make the rest of season 2 more bearable.
The Top Gear road trips and challenges basically. He's only entertaining when he's bantering or laughing about others. When he's by himself doing Top Gear reviews or other car related TV his talks always turn into the same old rambling.
Are newer Audis halfway reliable these days? I kinda love the new S3, but I'm scared of the thing falling apart around me shortly after the factory warranty goes away. I'm torn between picking up an S3 and being practical, or saying fuck it and indulging in a C7 Vette.
>>17492096
Just get an M235i, don't bother with a Jetta that hit the gym too hard.
There's no reason to buy an S3 it's slower than the equivalent Golf and the facelifted Golf has all the fancy virtual cockpit shit now.
>>17492110
I have to say, I haven't even really considered BMW due to having a terrible reliability experience with an '07 Mini Cooper I bought brand new and had for 5 years. Not entirely BMW's fault (fuck that French motor they put in there), but it still left a bad taste in my mouth.
>at Mercedes dealer
>looking the C Class
>$45.000
>see this
What do you mean, the seat backplate not being covered?
speaking of Mercedes how much of an old man car is the E class and can someone in their 20s get away with driving one.
>>17491908
Of course.
This is a Toyota econobox

How can so many people afford $35000 cars?
Are they all millionaires?
After all, around $35k is the average millionaires spend on their car.
http://www.thomasjstanley.com/2012/01/drive-rich-or-be-rich/
>>17491862
84+ month loans. they will be paying for a car for 7+ years and usually that's 3 years longer than the car lasts.
Because most people have retarded values. Millionaires and other successful people are usually partially sociophobes, so they could care less what an average nigger thinks. I mean self-made millionaires.
Don't wanna brag but e.g. me. I'm under 30 years old, live in northern europe and own 2 real estates worth about 300k euro at the moment. I drive a 2001 chrysler neon. I dress in good, relatively expensive clothes- Lerros, Tom tailor, but they are very understated- e.g. nobody knows what the fuck that is.
TLDR- people spend money on things they don't need to impress people they don't care about.
I have 600k total estate and drive shitboxes. People driving brand new audis on 40k salary are the best fish you can dream of if you are a salesman.
What is the most expensive FWD car ever mass produced?
