Are newer Audis halfway reliable these days? I kinda love the new S3, but I'm scared of the thing falling apart around me shortly after the factory warranty goes away. I'm torn between picking up an S3 and being practical, or saying fuck it and indulging in a C7 Vette.

Just get an M235i, don't bother with a Jetta that hit the gym too hard.
>>
There's no reason to buy an S3 it's slower than the equivalent Golf and the facelifted Golf has all the fancy virtual cockpit shit now.

I have to say, I haven't even really considered BMW due to having a terrible reliability experience with an '07 Mini Cooper I bought brand new and had for 5 years. Not entirely BMW's fault (fuck that French motor they put in there), but it still left a bad taste in my mouth.

Orly .. well that's interesting. The virtual cockpit shit is what really tickled my technology boner, I'll have to look into those.

Just get a golf r. What are you, a badgewhore?

German cars are reliable, but they're not perfect. Eventually something breaks and it costs a fortune for every stupid custom reverse thread German bolt and OEM tool to fasten it

No still very reliable.
>>
>>17493215
The bolts are all standard lefty loosy righty tighty metric stuff as used all over the world.

A3 is very good car. Poor mans golf r. Slightly used they go for good price. Respond amazing to tune.
>>

Called hyperbole, but reverse threads are still used in applications where the assembly might spin a standard thread out
>>
If you can afford the incredibly expensive costs of fixing a German car be it BMW, Mercedes, Audi or Volkswagen get a S3 it's a really fun rocket it has a DSG stronic transmission so it shifts very fast, personally I prefer the golf R since it comes with a manual transmission. This car is a golf engine with a swapped intake cam and larger turbo your paying for the Audi logo on this car which is not worth it. Source Audi Technician

They're one of the highest rated brands in terms of reliability according to Consumer Reports. Ignore stupid shit like JD Power "initial quality" (read, only 90 days from driving off lot)
